Chapter 26

Merigold

I know something is going on at the club. But no one is telling me anything. I don’t like being left in the dark. I thought I was family. That I was part of the club. But right now it doesn’t feel like it. The only reason I haven’t confronted Viper yet is that it seems none of the old ladies seem to know what is going on either. So for now I’m going to put my trust in Viper that if I needed to know he would tell me.
I’ll deal with the extra brothers following me around. I always have one brother and one prospect with me at all times. If the boys go to Anne’s without me a prospect is with them. I even have a prospect staying at the house at night. It is usually Lug Nut who stays so it isn’t a big deal. That is if Rowdy and Axel don’t stay over. And I don’t mind when they stay over. For now, I’m going to let it go. For all, I know this is a normal thing that happens from time to time.
I’m at the auto shop today with my favorite prospect. I had him wait outside for me. I want to talk to Thor about the empty bay they have. I don’t need to work in the shop. Between the money Raider gave me, the saving that I already had, and the money I still bring in from my work I’m doing good. I don’t need to work.
But I want to. If I decided to live here permanently I want something to do. I’m used to staying busy. When I was back home I was either at Mac’s auto body shop or Alaric’s tattoo shop. Or at the Va working with Vets. And spending time with the boys. Here I hang out at the club or at home. That’s it. It was ok for a while but now it is starting to drive me crazy.
I walk up to the receptionist “ Hi, I’m here to see Thor.” The lady looks me up and down and huffs. “ Do you have an appointment?” she asks. “ No. But I’m sure he will see me if you let him know I am here.” I the lady and that is being generous. She is dressed similarly to a bunny. A short tight skirt that rides up as she sits down. A tight tee shirt with the shop logo on it. But it looks like she cut it in the middle to let her boobs spill out. I get that this is an auto shop but a little professionalism would be great.
“ Look, lady. Thor only sees people with an appointment. And he is booked up for a while so you won’t be able to get in. I can see if one of the other guys can help you but I doubt it. They are all pretty busy. I look out the window behind her that gives me a clear view of the garage. There are a total of fives guys, not including Thor, that work here full time.
I see two of them flirting with a woman who came in just before me. I see one leaning against a workbench drinking a beer. It isn’t even ten in the morning for fucks sake. One is leaning back in a chair and it looks like he is asleep. And the other looks like he is working. He is bent over a car with the hood up. But he could just be making it look like he is working. This is not how things look when I first took a tour of this place. It is clear to me everyone was on their best behavior then. I look at the girl “ Really. They are busy?” I say pointing out the window.
She looks out the window and shrugs her shoulders. “ Like I said they are all booked up. There is another shop a few miles down the road you can go to.” Is she fucking serious? “ No, you can get off your ass and go get Thor. Now!” She just smirks “ No can do. You have to take your car somewhere else.”
I am pissed. I don’t say another word to her. I stomp past her desk to Thor’s office with her yelling “ Hey, you can’t go back there.” What to make a fucking bet. I don’t bother knocking I just slam open the door and what do I see our shop manager doing. He is getting his dick ridden by his old lady. He doesn’t look up just says “ I told you I was not to be disturbed.” I’m so mad I’m shaking and seeing red.
These are the people my brother has trusted to run our business. I pull out my phone to text Viper letting him know he needs to get here right now. I guess I didn’t answer Thor fast enough because he says “ Bitch, I told you to stay out. Didn’t you hear me?” The whole time they keep fucking. “ Oh, I heard you. Now hear me. You have thirty seconds to get your ass out front or your fired.” That’s when Trina and he finally look in my direction. To say they were shocked is an understatement. I don’t wait for their response. I go to the front door and yell for Lug.
Lug comes in looking worried but I don’t have time to explain. Thor and Trina are coming out of his office still putting their clothes together. The snotty bitch at the desk tells Thor. I told her she could go back there. She didn’t even have an appointment.” Before Thor can say a word I tell her “ Shut your mouth if you value your job.” She is about to say something, when Thor shakes, his head. Letting her know not to say a word. “ Lug shut this place down now. No one leaves. I want everyone in here now.” Lug doesn’t question me just does what I ask. I know he has never seen me this way so he knows I mean business. I look at Thor and Trina “ You two sit and get comfortable we are going to be here a while.” I don’t say another word. Lug brings the other guys and Thor tells them to sit.
