Chapter 64

Merigold

Now that we are alone Axel and Rowdy explain what happened in great detail. Not that I needed them to. I got it. It was a big misunderstanding. I think back and know I should have stayed and confronted them when it happened. I told them this and told them why I didn’t. I couldn’t. I was too broken at the time. We cleared the air and I feel like my heart is beginning to mend again. We can start fresh for our new lives ahead.
“ Merigold, we want you and the boys to move in with us when Doc says you are ready.” Axel says. “ We can do all the work. We will even get a room ready for Jace and Jax. We will do all the safety proofing you need if you tell us what to do. All you have to do is say yes. We will cover everything else.” Rowdy says. For a minute I think it might be too soon.
On the other hand, we are getting married soon. I could use the help while I recover. They aren’t strangers. We have known each other for months. I do sleep better when I’m in bed with them. The twins adore them. And it will help us establish a routine now instead of after we are married. “ Yes. I will move in with you guys. The sooner the better.” They both lean in for a hug being gentle in a way I didn’t think they could do.
After that they start making plans to get my things to their house. They talk about what room they want to give the boys. What room will be set up as a nursery. They talk about stocking the kitchen with all new pots, pans, and dishes. Including child safe ones for Jace and Jax. They make a list of things I want or need for the house to make it my own. They ask how I want the twins room done but I told them they should get the boys input on that. I told them what kind of beds they would need. Rowdy already called Anna to help get things rolling. It is rather sweet how excited they are.
