It took a month to recover from the injuries that were a result of being kidnapped. My ribs still hurt a bit but overall I’m getting better. I wanted to be healed up before I got married. Rowdy wanted to do it the day after we got engaged. I convinced them to wait until I was healed so I could enjoy our wedding night. That worked like a charm. Doc Ryans agreed to let me go home a week after I woke up with the condition that I had someone with me at all times. That wasn’t a problem because Axel and Rowdy wouldn’t let me out of their sight.
I got Viper to let Lilly move into dad's house. I didn't want her hanging around the clubhouse all the time. Not that there was anything wrong with the clubhouse. I just wanted her to have her own space away from the parties and the club bunnies. I want her to take the time to recover from what happened to her. Then figure out her next move. She can stay here as long as she wants. She has been helping with the twins and stuff around the house and I have been paying her help. I hope it gives her a small sense of independence.
With her help, we started our weekly dinners again. That was an interesting feat. For starters we had to buy a bigger table for the dining room. And there still wasn’t enough room for everyone so we set a kids table in the living room. Tank was so happy he hugged me so hard I thought he was going to rebreak a rib. I showed Lilly how to make his favorite dessert and he hugged her too. The sweet girl blushed so bad she was as red as a tomato. It was too cute. Lilly seems to get along with all my brothers and seems to be fitting in well. I’m happy to have her here.
Truthfully, I've become attached to her and I hope she will stick around. But I've made sure she knows she can do whatever her heart desires. I just want her to be able to move on from her kidnapping and be happy. She has talked about going to college and if that is what she decides is a route she wants to take I'm going to help her. Lilly is a wonderful girl and I want her to follow her dreams.
But that is going to have to wait for another day. Because right now Lilly was helping me get ready to marry the loves of my life. Yep, today I'm marrying two wonderful men that I love dearly. I know you are wondering how I can marry two men. Legally I'm only marrying one, Rowdy. Don't ask me how it was decided. Axel and Rowdy worked it out themselves. To me, it doesn't matter who I'm legally bound to. It is the commitment we are making to each other that matters.
You want to hear something strange. I don't know much about my wedding. While I took the time to recover Alaric, Mac Viper, Axel, Rowdy, Lilly and a handful of old ladies took it out of my hands. I didn't have to lift a finger. While I trust Alaric, Mac, and even Lilly I'm a little nervous to find out what Viper, Axel, and Rowdy came up with. Lilly and Trina Thor's old lady helped me pick out my dress.
" Lilly, are you sure you won't give me any details?" " Nope. I've been sworn to secrecy. They want it to be a surprise. Now let's get you dressed." We are sitting in Viper's office. Yes, we are having the wedding at the clubhouse. But that is the only thing I know. Lilly hands me my dress and turns to give me some privacy. I went with an ivory satin knee-length maxi dress with a lace overlay. The top is a V neck that shows off my growing boobs without being trashy. It flares at my waist and flows to my knees.
Lilly has my hair pinned back from my face with clips that have blue rhinestones on them for something blue. We left my hair down but Lilly has done corkscrew curls all the way down. I'm going with light yet sultry makeup. Smokey eyes, a touch of mascara. And to top the look glossy red lipstick. I'm putting my boots on when someone knocks on the door. Yes, I'm wearing my cowboy boots for my wedding. I wouldn't be me without them.
Lilly goes to check who it is. She lets Alaric and Mac in. Alaric hugs me first then Mac. I'm so glad they stayed for the wedding. " Snow you look beautiful," Mac says. " You certainly do. Are you ready? " I take a deep breath " As I'll ever be." I walk out the door with them following. Lilly goes to stand beside Tank who is standing in front of the doors that lead outside. Alaric and Mac stand on either side of me. Footsteps behind me catch my attention and I see Matt, Tony, River, and Andrew behind me. All of them in their dress uniforms.
Seeing my confusion Alaric says " We are giving you away." " Really?" I feel the tears already. Tony hands me a box and tells me to open it. Inside the box is a beautiful rose gold charm bracelet. It has a motorcycle charm, a rifle charm, an S charm, a small computer charm, and a stethoscope charm. " It's your something new," Tony says. Yea there are going to be tears before this is over. " Thank you." Mac hands me another box, inside is a pearl necklace. He pulls it out and puts it on me. " It was my mom's and it is your something old." Alaric unsheathes his favorite knife from his side and hands it to me " And now your something borrowed. " I lift up my dress and slide it carefully under my garter belt.
Alaric nods to Tank and he opens the doors. Tank escorts Lilly out. I put one hand in the crook of Alaric's elbow and the other in Mac and the rest following behind me and we walked out the doors. There are folding chairs covered in red fabric on either side of us full of people. All patched members are sitting in the front couple of rows. Behind them are more of my friends from Alabama dressed in their Sunday best. I wanted a casual ceremony and that's exactly what they gave me. I take a deep breath and take my first step towards my future.
