I'm sitting at a table with Rowdy, Tank, and Ace drinking a beer. The party is in full swing. The music is thumping. Booze is flowing and everyone is having a good time. " Well, damn. I never thought I would see the day." Ace says. I turn my head " What do you mean brother?" " Three club bunnies walked by and you didn't even blink. I don't think you even saw them." He is right, I didn't see them. I have been staring at my wife line dancing with the twins and her Alabama family. Man, I do Iove seeing her shake her ass. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Angel come to stand beside me. I don't even spare her a glance. I just watch Merigold and wonder when we can take her home. " You know since you aren't really married you can have a good time on the side," Angel says. No way in hell is that going to happen. Is she really doing this on my wedding day? I knew we should have banned the bunnies from being here. I hear Viper growl. I know he is waiting to see what I do. Angel puts her hand on my shoulder. I open my mouth to say something when I hear Angel scream. She is looking down at her shoe and I see a large knife stuck in it, a hair from her toes. Everyone jumps up ready to fight. Where did it come from?
I look around and everyone is tense-looking for signs of trouble. Everyone but Merigold. She is walking calmly up to us. She wraps her arms around my neck and looks at Angel " That is your only warning to keep your hands off my husbands." Merigold pulls me to her and kisses me. I wrap my arms around her waist and pull her close. She runs the tip of her tongue across my bottom lip then lightly bites. I growl when she pulls away. She leans down and pulls the knife from Angel's shoe. The look on Angel's face is a mix of shock and outrage. It's actually funny. Merigold puts her foot on the chair I was sitting in and slides her dress up her thigh. I don't know what she is doing but I'm turned on. Then I see her slide the knife under her garter belt. Angel stomps off in a huff. Alaric and his crew are double-over laughing.
Rowdy puts his hands on Merigold's back " Got any other surprises in there?" motioning to her dress. Merigold leans in and whispers " You'll have to strip search me to find out." Now we are talking. " Well, wife, let's get out of here," Rowdy says. Merigold bites her lip and shakes her head. “ We have one more important thing to do before we can leave.” I’m about to ask her what it is when Viper calls for everyone’s attention. “ Thank you all for coming to help us celebrate the marriage of my wonderful little sister and two men I am proud to call brothers. But we have one more thing to celebrate.” Viper nods at Merigold. She walks up and stands by his side. He hands her a plain white box. “ Lug Nut, could you come up here?” Poor Lug Nut looks nervous but does what he is asked. Viper puts his hand on Lug’s shoulder.
“ Lug, recently you have proved your loyalty to not only this club but to Merigold. By fighting for her and helping us find her you have not only earned my respect but that of my brothers. Because of this a vote was taken.” Viper turns to Merigold. She has opened the box and is taking Lug Nut kutte out. “ Lug Nut this isn’t how these things normally go but Viper has granted me this. For everything you have done for me. For your loyalty. For your friendship. I’m happy to say you are no longer a prospect.” Merigold motions for Lug to turn around. She carefully places the kutte on his shoulder. “ From this day on you are a full member of the Reckless Renegades.” The rest of us clap and holler our congratulations. Lug Nut finishes putting his kutte on. He shakes Viper’s hand then hugs Merigold. In the past I would have beat his ass for touching our girl. But I’m not worried anymore. She has our ring, our kutte. And after the babies are born she will have our mark. They know who she belongs to.
Merigold comes back to us. “ Now we can go.” she says. Not wasting a second I grab her hand and do a quick wave bye to everyone. I rush her through the club with Rowdy right behind. I practically throw her in the truck while Rowdy gets on his bike and follows us to our house.
We pull up and Rowdy jumps off his bike to unlock the door. I helped Merigold out of the truck. I pull her to me and kiss her. I slip my tongue past her lips and meet her tongue. I tilt her head to deepen the kiss. Our tongues twist together almost in a dance. When I pull away I growl " House now!"
