Rowdy

Prez is pissed. I get it. He thinks we just used Merigold. I wouldn't blame him if that was the case. But it isn’t. " We didn't treat her like a club bunny. "Axel says and that earns him a punch from Alaric. " No, you just had a fling with her then moved on to something easy." Axel and I get punched again. Damn this is hurting. We have to make them understand before we end up dead.
" I'm sure that's what she told you but it wasn't like that," Axel says. " Merigold didn't tell me shit. But it wasn't hard to figure out." Viper says with a punch to my gut. Alaric gets Axel in the nose. " Prez just listen to us," I say. Did it work? Nope, I got punched in the eye.
" STAND DOWN!" We turn and see Merigold standing by the bar leaning on to Tank. " Viper, Alaric stop." Nobody moves. With Tank's help, she gets over to us. She puts a hand on Alaric and one on Viper. " I see you figured it out. " Viper and Alaric nod. Merigold puts a hand on her stomach " And you thought beating them was going to do what? Make them change their minds. Force them to take me back? Admit they did me wrong? No. Just let it go. It is done and over with."
Force us to take her back? Done and over. No. We want her to take us back. " Merigold, Prez. Let us explain." We have got a chance right now and I'm taking it. They won't make a move while Merigold is standing there between them without risking hurting her. I know they would never take that chance. Axel nods for me to keep going. " Merigold what you saw that night. It wasn't what it looked like. I know you saw the club bunnies." Merigold puts her hand up. “ I don’t need you to explain. I get it ok. " No, we do need to explain. The bunnies you saw us with. I know it looked bad. But it's what you didn't see that's important. You didn't see us say we weren't interested. You didn't see us get up and walk away. And you didn't see us go home alone." Axel says.
" We would have never gone with those bunnies. Or any girls for that matter. No one else matters but you." Axel says. Viper looks like he wants to punch us again but won't dare move with Merigold beside him. Merigold won't look at us. I need her to look at me. " Merigold, please listen. I know you think what we told you were lies or just words. Something to get in your pants. But baby, I promise you with my whole heart. We meant every single word we said. And we still mean it. I'll even repeat every single thing I said to you in front of Viper and Alaric. Hell, I'll say in front of the whole fucking club. I don’t care. Just listen to us. Please” Yes, I’m begging. We might even look like we are pussy whooped in front of my brothers. I don’t give a shit. Let them hear how much we love Merigold.
When I said we would say it all in front of the club.That got her attention. Merigold lifted her head and looked me right in the eyes. Her's were wet from unshed tears. Then she looked at Axel. " So will I, baby girl," he says. Alaric looks at Merigold and backs up. Good, he is going to listen at least. " I know what you saw. It looked bad. But we would never do that to you. I would rather let the whole club beat my ass than hurt you." Axel says. “ I would rather never be able to ride again than hurt you.” I told her. In our world that is a big deal.
Merigold starts to sway on her feet. Tank is closest, he picks her up and heads back to her room. I'm prepared to follow. She is listening to us. We need to keep going now that we have a chance. I need to make sure she still listens. " No Tank. Chair," she says. Tank looks unsure but does what she asks then steps behind her. That's when I notice that all of my brothers and all of Alaric's crew are there. And they place themselves around her. She has plenty of back up if this goes wrong. If she doesn’t believe us. Axel and I aren’t going to make it out of here in one piece if Merigold doesn’t believe us.
It is also good, let them hear every word we say so there is never any doubt in anyone's mind how we feel about Merigold. " Baby when we said you are ours we meant every single word. Viper you're right we should have had the balls to come to you. We wanted to make sure Merigold understood how serious we are. So when we claimed her there would be no questions."
" So you two have intentions of claiming her as an old lady?" Viper asks. " Yes." Axel and I say at the same time. I reach in my pocket and pull out the surprise I had gotten for Merigold just before we went on the run. Axel does the same thing. We place it in Viper's hand. " That's how serious we are," I tell him. He looks in his hand and nods. He gives it back to us and motions to Merigold who looks very confused.
" Baby girl I swear the thing with the club bunnies is a very big misunderstanding. We would never cheat on you. And why would we ditch you for an easy troll when we had a princess waiting for us." Axel says. Yea that the last line was cheesy as hell but it got a bunch of snickers. " Who are you calling an easy troll?" I hear Angel whispers. Everyone just ignores her.
" We want you to know something else," I say. I look her in the eyes and say a little louder to make sure everyone can hear us. " We want you to be our old lady. We want to be fathers to Jace and Jax." Merigold looks at Viper. " They declared in front of the whole club. It has to be true."
Axel and I step in front of her " And so much more. Baby? Will you take us back and be ours again?" I ask. I'm almost pleading with her. She hangs her head and her shoulders start to shake. " Baby girl don't cry." Axel pleads. Merigold holds a finger to give her a minute. " Huntsman. Did I pull a Tinker?" she asks. What is she talking about?
Alaric and his crew start laughing " Yea, I think you did." We are all confused. What is so funny? And why is Merigold crying? Mac looks at me and says, " We will explain later." Merigold leans back holding her ribs " Ow it hurts to laugh." She is laughing not crying. Laughing is better than crying. I still don't get it though.
She takes a deep breath and stands with Tank’s help. She is positioning herself in the middle of Axel and me. " Before I can answer there is something you both should know," she says. She looks at Viper and he gives her a nod to continue. She leans in between us and whispers in our ear " I'm pregnant."
Merigold sits back down and waits. Pregnant. With our baby. " Really?" Axel asks. “ You are sure? I ask in shock. I never expected that. Merigold puts her hand over her stomach " Very."
