Viper

After watching the video from my dad I couldn’t help but think of the guy who knocked up my baby sister. I expected most of the video. He has always told me he loved me and how proud he was of me. So that was nothing new when he said it. But he did go on about Merigold. He wants me to make sure she knows she is loved and protected. He begged me to make sure she had a good life if she would let me. He wants me to take care of her now that he can’t. He said one thing that stuck with me more than the others. He said no matter what we faced we should do it together.
That no matter what happened he was proud to have us as his children. And to protect each other. That’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to find the fucker who hurt Merigold. He is going to have to deal with me. I didn’t say I was going to tell him she is pregnant. I said I would give her time and I will. I know it is one of my brothers and I’m going to make them regret ever hurting her. I need to get out of my office to do that.
I go to the bar. I search the room looking for my target. I spot Lug Nut in the corner and walk up to him. " Prospect a word." It isn't a question. It's a demand. " I need to ask you some questions about Merigold." He cocks his eyebrow. " Have you seen anyone with Merigold that isn't a brother?" " No, I've only seen brothers," he says.
" So no boyfriend? No guys hanging around?" I clarify. " Boyfriend? No, Merigold doesn't have a boyfriend? She only ever hangs out with brothers or me." Just what I thought. " Thanks," I tell him and walk away. I need a drink. I have the prospect pour me a shot of Jack. Alaric comes and sits beside me. " You look like your ready to murder someone." " As soon as I figure out who it is I just might."
" You don't know who you want to kill, you just know it is someone?" he asks. " I talked to Merigold. I wanted to know when she was going to introduce us to who she has been seeing. The father of the babies. She said it was just a fling and won't say who it was with." Alaric takes a drink of his beer " Merigold doesn't do flings. Never has. Jace chased after her for months before she would even go out with him. I know they didn’t have sex until after they were dating for a year. They were each other’s first. He was so happy he waited for her. She was going to be his only he told us. I can safely say she hasn't been with anyone since Jace died. " " That's what I thought and the look on her face told me that much. She told me the guy just dropped for something easy and cheap. It was just a short term thing. I know whoever it is is the one who knocked her up."
" And that's who you want to murder? But you don't know who it is." He asks. " She won't say but I got a gut feeling it's one of the brothers. I just have to find which one." " Any leads?" he asks " It is one of four. I talked to Lug Nut. He confirmed Merigold only hangs out with club members. Lug Nut is her friend. And has been her guard for a few months. And if he was with Merigold he wouldn't just drop her. He isn’t like that. He messes with the bunnies because they know the deal. There is Tank but he treats her like a little sister."
I'm just about to say something else when Axel and Rowdy walk in. And suddenly it hits me. Those two stopped having club bunnies hanging on them shortly after Merigold got here. Then just before they went on the run last week, they had some club bunnies hanging on them. I know those two like to tag-team girls.
" Son of a bitch. I think I know who it might be." Alaric looks at me and I motion with my head towards Axel and Rowdy. " You think? You think it is one of them?" he asks. " Only one way to find out. Want to help?" Alaric doesn't say a word and we go to them. They turn around and before they can say a word I punch Axel in the nose. I didn’t hear it break but it will do for now. Alaric goes for Rowdy and punches him in the eye.
" Which one of you thought you could touch my sister?" They look at each other. You have got to be kidding me. Both of them. I'll kill them. " Prez it's not what you think," Rowdy says. Alaric punches him again. It appears he is letting me do all the talking. Fine with me. " Not what I think. You sleep with my sister. You don't have the balls to say anything to me. Then you treat her like a club bunny." I punch again.
