The Escape Plan

"How in the hell did they find out? I thought you were being more careful," a loud squeaky voice woke me up with a massive headache striking in.

Pain, pain burst in many different parts of my body as I woke up from my heavy sleep, on opening my eyes I see myself handcuffed to the wall with my arms above my head.

Memories came rushing down to me and I panic looking around for Alejandro, I sigh in relief when I see him in the same room as me but strapped to a chair, he was still unconscious but his heartbeat was stable which was good news.

I look around me and the wet grey walls and pungent smell surround the room, there was a steel door and no window. the voice could be heard through the walls as the people walked closer to our room, I try tugging at the cuffs but it digs deeper into my wrist.

The steel door burst open and footsteps hurry towards where I was, I sure at the person responsible for this and glared at him.

he smirks watching me with amusement, he pulled my chin and pulled me closer to his face and smirked deeper, "Such a petty little thing, " he blew in my face and dropped his hand.

"How do you like your new home? hmm, and I hope you love your cuffs I've learned it from the best," he said in a taunting tone.

I glare at him remembering the time when I had him chained in the dungeons, looks like he keeps grudges.

"Look at this poor little thing, He looks much better with his eyes open," Rose grabbed Alejandro by his hair and pulled his head back, pulled her snake-like tongue, and licked his cheeks.

I tugged at my restraints and growled at her threatening to take her filthy hands off my mate, She looked at me smiling mischievously.

"Oh, Look it's the Alpha that demands submission from poor omega's like me," she said in a teasing childlike voice. "How does it feel like to be betrayed by a hm. what's the word? ah friend, " she said turning to look at Craig, he snickers at her

I growled at her again " Take your filthy hands off of him," she raised her arms in surrender and nodded mockingly.

"What the hell do you want from us? why are you doing this?" was what I ask while glaring at both of them.

They shared a look and she burst out laughing " You," she continued laughing "You, Little Alpha was never in the equation, you just got dragged along, it's him we need not you, " she said holding Alejandro's shoulders.

"Why do you need him? what are you planning?" I kept questioning them all while looking for a way out of the cuffs.

"Are you this naive?" Craig leaned forward closer to my face "I merged Claudius and Alejandro for a reason, Claudius subconscious is the one in Alejandro's mind," My hands stilled when the reality struck me.

This is it, all of this for Claudius?

"You still want to bring him back? are you that loyal to him?" I ask in disbelief, Craig doesn't seem the loyal type.

He snorted comically " No, that bastard can rot in hell for all I care, it's the power I need from them, all that ancient power rushing through his veins hold the power to make me the greatest Mage the world has ever known," He smirked

The word Mage Wing's a bell deep inside my head but I have no idea why he would call himself a mage rather than a witch. Wasn't the witch we found inside the barrier a mage?

The look on my face must have been too obvious because he chuckled and grabbed a fist full of my hair and pulled at them.

"I'm sure you're wondering why him? and why now?" He let go of my hair and took a few steps back to where Alejandro was strapped.

He held Alejandro's hand in his and pricked at his forefinger, little droplets of blood gushed out of him, and that little prick in his hand had me hissing in pain. Craig smirked at me and licked the finger clean, he closed his eyes for a second and then opened them back, the color of his eyes change into blood red and they glowed furiously.

He flicked his wrist and Rose was in the air, panicked finding herself off the floor, and then screamed at Craig to let her down but he smirked at me not taking his eyes off of me, then with a snap of his fingers she turned into a demon, hideous wings grew out of her back, claws ripped out of her hands, the legs turned monstrous, My heartbeat was louder than her screams and that scared the shit out of me.

All of that came to an end within a minute, Rose fell unconscious and fell on the floor with a bang, Craig looked at her disappointed and shook his head.

"Just a drop of his ancient blood and the deadliest thing can be possible, but as you can see it's only temporary. once I claim every ounce of power from his body I will be able to create my army and then all prideful things like you will be beneath me, on your knees begging for my forgiveness," the warning in his words was creepier than what I just witnessed.

I need to get us out of here, I need to get Alejandro away from this psychopath.

Rose and Craig teleported out of the room. I tried calling out for my wolf but something was blocking our connection, I moan in regret for trusting someone like Craig so open-heartedly.

Craig said something about Alejandro's blood being too powerful, the bulb in my head goes off with a crazy idea and I try breaking out of my cuffs.

A scene from a famous web series comes to mind and with no other choice left I give it a shot, I hold my thumb closely, and with a force of the snap, I break my thumb, pain shot through my hand I suppress the groan of pain and try to get the cuff out of my hands. Luckily the trick worked and I was able to break out of the hold with two sore thumbs.

I rush towards Alejandro and hold his face in my hands, I lean my head on his and apologies for what I was about to do. I kiss his still lips and pray to whoever was listening so this would work.

I reach out to his wounded finger and suck on it, the blood wouldn't come out so I bit it harder drawing blood if my hunch is right? then all supernatural beings can access his powers. my plan was flawed but it was worth a shot.

The thick luscious blood flowed in my mouth and the ironic taste of the blood was mixed with something extraordinary, maybe that's what power tastes like. as the blood traveled down my body I felt energized. I close my eyes and concentrate on my link with Josh, a few tries later I was successful in reaching him.

"Enzo, where the hell are you? I couldn't find you anywhere?" was the first thing he said, I was relieved to hear his annoying naggy voice.

"I don't have much time josh, so I need you to listen to me very carefully, Craig betrayed us, it's not the witch that bewitched Alejandro it was Craig, and now he has us kidnapped somewhere, I don't where we are but try to find some clue and find something that can help us defeat him, he mentioned something about being a Mage, look it up and find anything and everything you can about it," As soon as the message was delivered the connection was cut off, I felt the power of his blood slowly varying off, I break him out of the straps and hold him close.

I lean his body next to the door and with a strong kick the door ripped out of its hinges. I look out the door and it seemed underground, there were stairs in the front of the door with the help of my instincts I couldn't find any other heartbeat in the area.

Heaving a deep breath I look at my mate and with strong determination to save him had I shifting into my wolf but only halfway so I could carry him.

I run as fast as I could with Alejandro on my back, there weren't many turns in the house, it looked abandoned for a very long time. I didn't want to wait till Craig and his sidekick find us, I looked at a window that was on its last breath and slam through it. it was loud enough to alert anything under a ten-meter radius, with no other thought in my mind I run into the woods.

I didn't know how long I could run before Craig could find us but I kept going. Every time I felt the power leave my system I would suck on his finger more and that would give me enough power to go on, a thought flashed through my mind, and going with my intuition I closed my eyes and thought of the last place Craig could find us.

My body jerked with an invisible force, I held Alejandro's body closer to mine and closed my eyes. my body jerked back and forth and finally, I fell to the solid ground.

I looked at my hands and found myself shifted back to my human form, I look around myself and found this wasn't the one I had thought of. Alejandro was by my side still unconscious

"What the hell is this place? how the hell did I get here?" I mumble to no one looking at the trees.

"I brought you here," I look startled at the figure under the door frame of the small room I landed in, "This place is protected, the wicked witch can't find you here,"
