Alejandro growled at Craig as he kept struggling in his hands "You can't kill me, I'm immoral," he said and choked when Alejandro tighten his hold on his neck.

I heaved up the heavy body of his sidekick omega and smirked at him "Not sure about that, we found some loopholes," I said before throwing the body of the unconscious Rose in the blood circle "Just in case you get bored," I sassed

Alejandro smirked at him and pushed him to the ground " Go to hell," He said darkly before stepping out of the circle and slashing open his palm using with his teeth, his blood poured on the floor, and the fire burned instantly in its place

Cassandra's voice got louder and with one last spell, the fire extended in the circle and engulfed both Craig and Rose in it. he screamed and begged but the fire consumed him, the fire disappeared without a trace and left ashes in its place

I sighed before hugging Alejandro with all my might "It's over, it's all over now," I said and he hugged me tighter.

The sudden moment in the room snapped us out, we pulled apart to find Sorin sitting on the floor on his knees looking at the ash, and then turning his head to look at badly beaten Josh.

Alejandro went to his friend and held his shoulder "it is not your fault, he tricked you, Sorin," He tried to console him, I went to my best friend and freed him off the ropes and held him straighter.

he was in and out of consciousness "I thought my mate was dead, I felt the pain," He kept mumbling as I carried him away from the cabin leaving Alejandro and Sorin to speak it out.

"I can take us to the hospital if you permit me," I nodded my head at Cassandra, and she teleported us to the castle hospital

I laid him on the hospital bed and held his hand as the tears left his eyes, he burst into tears as the reality hit him, "I thought he was dead, Lorenzo, I felt the pain my wolf felt the bond breaking," he said crying." how? and why?"

I pulled him in a hug and rubbed his back "I got you, Josh, we will figure this out," I hugged him tighter as he kept weeping.

"What he felt was rejection as his mate marked another, When did you feel the mate bond breaking?" Cassandra's voice echoed in my head, she must have figured saying it out loud would only hurt him.

" Last year, June 18th, " he mumbled looking at the ceiling of the hospital room.

Cassandra closed her eyes and mumbled a few spells, holding Josh's hand, she let it go after opening her eyes, and she let out a small sad smile. "seems like your mate was underaged when you met and the day your bond broke was the day of his birth, that Mage must have found out that Sorin might trace his true mate, so he corrupted him before he realized"

Our thoughts went back to the time when Alejandro announced to us that Sorin was found by his grandfather when he was abandoned as a child. they didn't know when he was born so they considered his first birthday as the day he was found, he must have been bigger than a normal baby to be considered older than he looked.

he fell asleep in my arms and I let him sleep on the bed where doctors had cleaned him up and bandaged his wounds

I walked out of the room and found Alejandro waiting for me, "How is he?" he asked

I walked into his arms and he held me closer, I laid my head on his shoulder " It's a mess Alejandro, but this is something they need to figure out all on their own," he hummed in response

I felt bad for not knowing what my best friend was going through, I was such a bad friend, how could I have missed this.
