15: It's time

After dinner was over Liana and Henry sent the kids upstairs for bed after cleaning up the kitchen and putting the food away Liana had a seat at the table she couldn’t help but get the scene out of her head. Layla’s words as she was holding Liam. She didn’t want to leave.

Henry turned to look at her he knew something was bothering her about what had just happened. “What do you think that was about?”

Liana sighed she hoped her daughter wasn’t going to truth to but she couldn’t blame her if she was. She was scared she didn’t have any idea what was happening. “She might leave that was what they were doing they were encouraging her to go.”

Henry sighed going to have a seat next to her. He knew they both knew her leaving would put everyone’s chances at making it through the upcoming war to zero. “That is not the Layla we raised, she does not run from danger.”

Liana nodded she knew he was right their daughter had been raised to be strong. But she also didn’t know where she came from or anything really about her powers. “I know she doesn’t and i know she can’t leave because of the prophercy. She was destined for this.”

“A prophecy she never learned about Liana.” Henry reminded. As much as he wanted his daughter to be strong and do this they hadn’t ever prepared her for this to happen and right now she was in the dark.

“Right i just we have spent so much time protecting her and keeping away from others so no one learned what was going on i don’t want it to go to waste.” Liana sighed she knew that they had done what had to be done but she still felt so bad about it. Knowing her daughter should have gotten to have a normal life that she probably would never get. “She needs to meet Jonah she needs to be protected. Alone she’s going to die they’ll track her down and they will kill her.”

“I know we need to make sure she gets to this ball.” Henry said. He knew if they wanted to do this getting Layla to the ball was going to be the first step to it

“How?” Liana asked she knew getting her daughter to agree to this wouldn’t come as easy as they hoped.

Henry sighed thinking for a moment. Then he knew it was finally time for them to let their daughter in on everything that had bee going on. “Maybe it’s time we tell her we know that we don’t care that we come true about the prophecy that happened years ago about the fact that she is adopted. Make sure that she knows whats to come that we love her. Make sure she knows nothing changes that she is still our little girl.”

“Are you sure?”

“I think it’s time.”
