29: Family at the palace

They finished eating and it was now time for them to all get started. Emma looked over at Layla she wanted to make sure that they were ready for this. “Go back to your room Amaya should be waiting there with some clothes for you. Freshen up by the time you are finished your parents should be here.”

“Alright.” Layla nodded she knew that was a good idea she had a lot she was about to get ready to do.

“Jonah why don’t you go and get ready for our guests arrival.” Ryan said he knew that they were going to need the little time to themselves for right now.

“But-”

“Go Jonah.” Emma ordered she knew that they were going to have a lot on their plate they needed their time to themselves right now. To cool down and prepare for what was coming.

“Yes mom.” Jonah sighed he knew that there was no way he was going to get out of this.

“I’ll see you later.” Layla said she was happy to go freshen up to have the hot water running down her body to help her calm down.

“See ya.”

Layla walked out the dining room following the path back to her room. When she arrived she seen Amaya waiting holding clothes in her hand “Here you go princess.”

“Thank you Amaya.” Layla said taking the clothes smiling at her.

“Of course.” Amaya said bowing before turning and walking away.

Layla opened her door heading inside and closing it behind her. She turned the light on and headed to the bathroom she set the clothes down on the counter and grabbed a bath towel and a wash towel along with soap. She was trying to keep herself calm while all of this was happening. “We got this Layla we’re going to be ok.”

Jonah had gone to make sure the other guest rooms were ready for her family before heading downstairs to the front of the palace. He seen his guard waiting by the gate walking over to him. “Edward.”

“Yes your majesty”

“Is everything going alright today.” Since this was his primary guard he liked to make sure that he was going to be ok.

“Yes sir clear skys the kingdom seems to be already adjusting to the news.” Edward knew that he was one of the staff that grew up knowing that Emma and Jonah were from the witch community so it didn’t bother him as it would some. “Any staff who didn’t know are having sit downs with the senior members.”

“Good everyone is going to have to adjust rather quickly.” He knew that when the barrier came down the change was going to be big. The unknown and the people of Greenville living amongst each other.

“Agreed.” Edward knew that was going to be the only way that this would work out for this one. “But most of the staff have been with you guys for years they realize your not a threat. But there worried about the princess. We all knew of the prophecy but seeing it come true is something differently entirely.”

“I know.”

“But it seems the adjustment is quick those who have came into contact with the princess say that she is nothing to fear. She was nice to them.” Edward knew it was good that everyone was warming up to the princess.

“Good she will be their new queen.” Jonah said confidently he knew he was going to need all of them to adjust to this.

“They will.” Edward was sure of it she had a bubbly personality and she was nice to everyone/

“That’s what i like to hear.” Jonah smiled he liked to know that this was going to turn out well for all of them despite everything.

The two wer interrupted by the carriage pulling up. Both turned to look at it stopped in front of them. Jonah waved then Footman off going to open the door. Who he assumed was Liam hopped out first.

“Hi.”

“Hi.” Jonah greeted smiling at him.

He seen Zamiyah climbing out next he held his hand out helping her get out next. “You!” She shot him a glare she did not like him and did not get how he was in the same place as his sister.


“Nice to see you again too.” Jonah smirked he knew that she didn’t like him since she had made that clear the last time they had met.

Ethan climbed out next followed by Mrs. Linwood he held his hand out helping her to get out. “Thank you.”

“Of course Ma’am.”

“Don’t be nice to him mom. He’s a stalker.” Zamiyah scolded she didn’t want him trying to get close to her mother too.

“A stalker really.” Jonah questioned he didn’;t think he had been a stalker he had been intrigued and maybe he had followed her but now he knew why they were soulmates.

Zamiyah scoffed she didn’t really care she still didn’t like him. “I don’t like you.”

Mr. Linwood climbed out next Jonah closed the door to the carriage motioning to the driver that he could go.

“Maya be nice.” Henry warned he knew that his daughter was a lot outspoken which was good on certain occasions but not on all.

Zamiyah shook her head she didn’t want to be nice to him when she didn’t like him. And it was her right now to like him. “He is a stalker he seen us at the lake and followed us to the market.”

“Who are you?” Liana asked curiously. She wondered why her daughter was giving this stranger such a hard time so she wanted to try and get the whole picture.

Edward cleared his throat moving to stand next to the prince. “This is prince Jonah he came to personally give you a tour of the castle.”

“Prince.” Liana nodded at least what most of what her daughter was saying was making sense.

“Of course he’s the prince.” Zamiyah groaned she well she could now understand why her sister had stayed because she had clearly been the only option.

“Well hello your majesty.” Henry greeted.

Liana smiled shaking her head she knew that why the prince had followed Layla because he simply couldn’t help it. “And you can’t get mad he’s supposed to be your sisters soulmate.”

“What?” Zamiyah asked looking at her mother confused she didn’t get what she meant by that.

“I’ll explain later sis.” Ethan whispered he knew that it was a long story that they all were going to need to sit and have. Or at least the siblings were.

Zamiyah looked over to him shocked she didn’t get why he was onboard with this when their sisters plan to escape had come from him. “What do you know you were the one telling me we should tell Layla to leave?”

“Now we both know your brother is a master eavesdropper.” Liana reminded she knew that he made it his mission to hear what people didn’t want him too.

“That i am mom.” Ethan smirked and nodded and he had heard their conversation with his sister and he understood what was going on and why this was so important.

“And your admitting it damn.” Zamiyah cursed she never thought her brother would admit that he secretly listened in on everything that was going on.

Ethan shrugged he didn’t care if they knew or not it was going to change nothing in the future. “What they already knew and what is the point of trying to lie and pretend that it never happened.”

“Point made.”

“Follow me so i could give you a tour were going to meet Layla in the family room.”

“OK.”

“Laya.” Liam smiled.
