19: Preparing for the ball
It was the day of the ball and Layla was beyond nervous. She was sitting in her parents room on a chair in front of her mother’s mirror. Her mom was leaning over looking at her while her dad was standing off to the side. “Are you ready today is the day that everything is going to change.”
“I’m scared.” Layla admitted she was scared that this wasn’t going to go the way she wanted to. That she wasn’t going to mess up and simply ruin everything.
“Baby there is nothing to be scared about.” Liana assured she knew this was her daughters destiny no one was going to stand in the way of this. She knew her daughter was special she stood out for a reason.
Layla nodded she knew her mom was right everything was going to be fine. She was simply over reacting for no reason. “I know i know this has been destined for awhile but that doesn’t make it any less nervewrecking.”
Liana shook her head smiling she didn’t want her daughter to think anything was going to go wrong. Or worry about something that simply wasn’t going to happen. “That is not what i meant baby i meant that you are princess are special and no one will change that. You stand out in a crowd everyone will notice you even when you do not want to be.”
“I know but that doesn’t change it.” It doesn’t change that she never got to go anywhere cause her parents wanted the best for her. And she was happy for that and she wasn’t angry but it made times like this scary.
Liana nodded she understood it was going to take some getting used to on her part and there was nothing wrong with that. “How about we start to prepare you for tonight manicure hair make up show everyone who there competing against.”
“Thank you mom.” Layla said. She always knew how beautiful she was because of her mom. She had never let her feel like she wasn’t pretty on the inside or the outside.
“No problem babygirl now it’s time Romona should be here any minute with your dress and then it’s off to the ball for you.” Liana knew this was a night for her daughter to remember and everything was going to go great.
“Ok.”
“I was thinking beach curls light blue eyeshadow to contrast your beautiful amber eyes. And light blush nothing to extra. You are already beautiful/”
“Thank you mom that sounds great.” Layla said she was excited or at least she was trying to be.

Layla was sitting in the luiving room with her parents they were waiting for Romona to arrive with the dress.
There was a knock at the door Henry went and got it opening the door and letting Romona in. She was carrying a dress bag. “Sorry for the delay. I had decided at the last minute a blue bow on the back of the dress and i simply had to see it through.”
“I’m sure it looks great.” Layla smiled to her. She knew Romona had a real vision for these type of things.
“What are you waiting for go try it on lets see what you look like in it.” Romona ordered she wanted to make sure she had done good for her.
Liana took the dress smiling to Romona. She was so happy Romona was able to come through on this. “Thank you for this.”
“Of course now go and get her into this dress so she can be off to the ball.”
“Of course.”
Liana led her to the room so they could get her into the dress. After getting the corset on and zipping her up she turend her to face a mirror. “You look amazing baby like the princess you are.”
