Chapter Twenty-Two - I have never quite like had a morning like this.
McKenna
I am in the shower. Paxton and I slept for a few hours but didn’t get out of bed until noon. We made the most of having the house to ourselves. I have never had a morning quite like we did. I am used to one round at a time, not four. I didn’t even think my body could handle as much sex. I am exhausted, but it was worth it. Paxton has stamina like I didn’t even know existed. I am a little sore and sensitive, but I don’t mind. I feel good overall. I feel relaxed, not stressed and happy. Maybe good sex can improve your mood because it sure has with me.
I smile as I happily shower. I won’t stay in too long because Paxton is waiting for one, too. He offered to join me, but I said no because she needed a rest. He understood. Adjusting to all these new feelings and experiences will take some time. I think he has been going easy on me because we have just started. I am sure there are other sides to him sexually; he is holding back since he knows I don’t have experience. I appreciate it, though. Hopefully, the more time we spend together, the more confident I will be and happily experience new things with him.
I finish up in the shower and wrap a towel around my body and one in my hair. I head back to my room. I find Paxton still in my bed, naked. I don’t think he has moved even an inch since I left.
“Shower is free.” I smile.
“Okay, dimples, I will go in a minute.” He replies.
I sit at the bottom of my bed to dry off before I decide what to wear for the day. I hear him move behind me, and the bed dips down. His warm body is soon behind me. He kisses over my shoulders and then moves the towel wrapped in my hair out of the way, kissing my neck.
I close my eyes and moan deeply as he continues his attack on my neck. Between my thighs are quick to start throbbing again. He pulls back after a minute, and I whine in protest.
Paxton chuckles, “You need time to recover, angel.”
“Yes, you are probably right, so stop teasing me,” I reply and glance over my shoulder at him, pouting.
“Sorry, sweetness. I will behave for now.”
He kisses my cheek and disappears out of my room to go shower. I dry off, changing into shorts and a tee. I strip and change my bed. I can’t have it smelling of sweat and sex in case my brother notices. I will get them washed and dried this afternoon.
Once done, I head downstairs. I really need coffee and food since all I have had today is some water. I have been too preoccupied with more exciting things. I start a fresh pot of coffee and see what there is to eat.
Hmm, a bagel with cream cheese and salmon slices sounds good. I know it is something Paxton likes, too. It won’t take long to make, so I will wait until he comes down before I make a start. I pour a large mug of coffee for myself. It will keep me going until I get food.
I enjoy my coffee until Paxton comes downstairs. Freshly showered and dressed.
“I am going to make some lunch. Do you want some?”
“I thought maybe we could go out for something to eat.” He suggests.
“Really? I thought you wanted to lay low?”
“I do, but I should get out of the house, even for a couple of hours. We could get takeaway and go down by the river. Remember the place we went to a lot in the summer? Is it still accessible because it has been years?”
It is where Paxton and Carter used to take me when I was having a bad day. I am sure a lot of times, they would rather have left me behind, but they never did.
“Yes, it can still be accessed as far as I know. I haven’t been down there in a long time either.” I reply.
“Maybe we can do that? It is quite secluded, so hopefully, no one will see or recognise me if anyone is around.”
“Sure. It will be good for you to get out for a while.” I smile.
I am nervous in case someone spots us together and gets the wrong idea. The last thing I need is to be media coverage and be called another notch on his bedpost. Yes, we are having sex, but it doesn’t mean I want to be in the damn headlines.
“Great. What do you fancy for lunch?”
“I am not sure, whatever you fancy,” I reply.
“I don’t know. We can decide when while we head out.”
I nod, drinking the last of my coffee. I make sure to grab a blanket for us to sit on. Paxton puts on a cap and shades to try to hide who he is. It kind of works, but a die-hard fan would surely notice him with the disguise. We take my car since it is less noticeable than his fancy one.
“Can you remember how to get there?” he asks.
“Yes, I will find it once we have gotten food.”
It isn’t too far away from Carter’s house. Paxton reaches over, placing his hand on my thigh as I drive. I make sure not to get distracted by it and keep my focus on the road. It does help it is on my bare skin since I chose to wear shorts today. He stares out of the window, his fingers dancing up and down my thigh. I don’t know if he realises he is doing it. Goosebumps rise on my skin.
“Paxton, can you stop, please? You are distracting me.” I whisper.
He looks at me confused, “What am I doing?”
I nod down my thigh, and he realises what he is doing, “Oh, sorry. I didn’t realise I was moving my fingers. I will keep my hand still.” He chuckles.
I laugh, “Thanks. I would rather not crash.”
He stills his fingers but keeps his hand in place. I can deal with just the placement.
“Is the little café still open we used to go to on a Sunday?” he asks.
“It is. It still has the same owners, and the food is still as delicious.”
“We should stop there and pick up some food to take with us.” He smiles.
“Perfect. You should be able to come in if it isn’t too busy. I am sure Julie and Shaun would like to see you after all these years.”
“If there aren’t too many people inside, I will come in,” he says.
“We can see when we get there.”
I know they will treat him like they have always treated him. A little bit of normalisation will be good for him. Hopefully, it will not be too busy, and if it is, it will be the people who don’t know him or those who see celebrities as normal people who won’t bother him. I can’t imagine how hard it must be having your entire life on show for everyone to see, and you can’t do anything about it. It is one of the good things about him coming back here for the summer; Carter and I won’t treat him any differently than we did before he was famous.
