Chapter 15

Oh no!

Abigail's eyes widened. Damn! This was Asher's favorite car. She brought a hand to her lips. Abigail knew she was dead. Asher was going to kill her.

"Oh no, Abby," Mia's voice rang in Abigail's head, pulling her back to reality. " Hurry Abigail, let's get out of the car, the person driving that car needs to pay for the damages,"

Abigail nodded vigorously. It was the car behind her that crashed into hers and she wasn't even speeding. The other party will have to take full responsibility and pay for the damages inflicted on Asher's car.

Mia rushed out of the car, and Abigail followed suit in getting out of the car.

It was quite a coincidence that the car that crashed into Abigail's car was also an expensive sports car. Mia and Abigail gaited closer to the other party's car, waiting for the person to step out.

Finally, the door pulled open, and a pair of silver heels touched the floor. Abigail wasn't quite apprised of the recent trend these days, but she didn't need anyone to tell her those heels were worth millions.

Her gaze trailed up to the pink dress that came into view and then a woman stepped out of the car.

She was beautiful, wearing a short pink dress that stopped on her mid-thigh, exposing her gorgeous slender legs. Her skin was smooth and flawless and she had the face of a model.

The woman turned to where Mia and Abigail were standing, and instantly she removed the dark glasses covering her eyes. Her deep green irises burned with rage, staring at Abigail.

"What the fuck! It's you?" The woman spat in rage. The manner she spoke and with the disgusted look on her face, Abigail quickly deduced that the woman knew her.

She leaned closer to her friend, "Mia, this woman knows me, but I do not recognize her." She whispered, returning the woman's disgusted stare.

Mia also leaned towards Abigail, shaking her head. "You know that vixen perfectly well Abigail, that is your sister-in-law,"

Abigail thought her ears were faulty. She sent her stare to Mia. "My bloody what?"

"Your sister-in-law," Mia stressed, counting her every word so Abigail could hear properly.

Abigail swallowed hard. "My sister-in-law?" Her blue eyes were wide and round. "You mean, she's the sister of Asher Reed?"

"Exactly. She is the fifth child of the Reed family, Rebecca. She seems to be delicate, and sweet, but she's capricious and unreasonable. What should we do? Do we walk away?" Mia said to Abigail.

Abigail threw her a thoughtful look. "Why the hell should we withdraw? She crashed into our car, if she doesn't pay for the damages, I'll have to pay for it myself and I don't have any money."

Even if she had the platinum card that Asher had given to her, it was unfair to use his own money and pay for the damages. This sister-in-law of mine just has to pay for the damages.

"Rebecca—" Abigail stepped forward, as she began talking but Rebecca sent a hand in the air, silencing Abigail.

Abigail almost scoffed. She threw a look at Mia who hurried to her side. "Did she just shut me up?"

By the looks of things, it was clear that Abigail's relationship with Asher's sister was very terrible.

"Hey, how dare you drive my brother's car out and wreck it?" Rebecca came in front of Abigail, inches apart from each other, she was full of hate and disgust.

Abigail couldn't understand why she seemed to hate her so much.

Mia quietly whispered to Abigail, "We'd better withdraw! Rebecca is very difficult to deal with."

But Abigail shook her head stubbornly to Mia, if Rebecca thought she was difficult, she haven't met the other side of Abigail. Abigail pursed her lips, folding her arms against her chest, and looked squarely at Rebecca before she said, "Yes, this is your brother's car, it's quite okay if you want to compensate your brother, after all, you were the blind one driving the car."

Rebecca frowned on hearing this, "What did you just say to me? Did you just call me blind? Say it again." Rebecca looked stunned at the words escaping Abigail's lips.

"What exactly do you want me to say again, sister-in-law?" Abigail's voice was firm. "That you were driving the car blindly?" She said, shaking her head. "So, do you want to compensate your brother now for the damages, or do you want to compensate him later?" Abigail was not slow while speaking, her words were very clear word by word.

"How dare you ask me for compensation, Abigail are you fucking out of your mind? If I hadn't been in such a hurry, I would have dealt with you, so go back to your car and get out of my way." Rebecca yelled, furiously.

"You're way too arrogant!" Abigail said, fuming. She didn't seem afraid to speak. "Look here, I am also in a hurry, so speak now, should we settle this matter here or we should settle it at home, with your brother present of course."

"What the fuck is wrong with you bitch!" Rebecca charged forward but Abigail's words stopped her.

"You damaged my car, and I want you to compensate me. It's either you call your brother and settle this with him, or I will have no choice but to call the police to settle this." Abigail spoke calmly, deep down she wanted Rebecca to call Asher instead. She didn't trust herself to face Asher and tell him that she had damaged his car. So it was better to have Rebecca do it herself.

"Call the police? Abigail, you must have a death wish, I'll just call Asher and ask him to give you what you truly deserve. You are not only fat but ugly, how dare you drive my brother's car to make a fool of yourself?"

Taking out her smartphone from her bag, Rebecca dialed Asher's number.

Mia tugged lightly on Abigail's clothes, "Abby, you don't think that your husband will take your side, do you?"

"He doesn't need to side with me on this, he just needs to know that it was his sister who wrecked his car and not me." Abigail did not expect Asher to side with her. They weren't even really a couple.

Just as Abigail pulled out of her thoughts, she heard Rebecca say to Asher on the other end of the phone. "Brother, you can't believe what happened to me, I was bullied by that ugly, fat psycho you call a wife…"

There was something about the lingering silence on Asher's end that made Abigail's heart churn.
