CHAPTER 24
THREE DAYS LATER
Madison's POV
Today I planned a short trip to the orphanage where I spend most of my time with the kids whenever I come over for holidays and after visiting there Mary and I are going for the tour before finally heading back to London and going over with our busy life.
It's really boring not having to chill out a bit but henceforth, I'll limit my working strategies with the moment of having fun.
At least having three to four vacations in a year can't be a bad idea.
"Mary, we're going on a trip, a short one though."
"To where?"
"To an orphanage after that, we're going on a tour which we didn't get the chance to go."
"This is going to be a fun ride." She boasted.
"You can say that again. I'll show you our wine plantation which is just a few rides from the orphanage."
"I can't wait. Have I ever told you, I love you?"
"Seriously babe."
"Yes. I love you Maddy. You're the best?
"A little louder, I can't hear you."
"I LOVE YOU, MADDY." She screamed.
"I LOVE YOU TOO, BABE." I yelled back and we both laughed.
"Go get ready for the trip and remember it doesn't have to do with you packing your luggage."
"Come on. I thought We're using two days."
"Nope, we're only going to spend a few hours with the kids and set out for the tour."
"I wish the trip could get a bit longer but no problem. I'll go get ready."
"Okay. Meet me in the living room when you're done."
"Alright."
****
"I'm all set. Shall we begin the chase?"
"Sure ." We lock hands together and head outside the mansion.
"Good morning madams. Where are we heading today?" The bodyguard, who happens to be in charge of the bodyguards said.
"We're going to the Zion of Jerusalem Orphanage."
"Alright madam. Boys, get ready." He ordered them and they arranged in a straight line while some set for the cars which Mary and I got in before we headed for the orphanage.
Casabella's POV
I have decided to make it my aim to get the will papers by all means and luck seemed to work in my favour.
Lora got a call this morning to show up at their family mansion which is about an eight hours ride from the mansion and giving me room to search for the documents and luckily Annie will be joining her as well.
"Make sure you do all the house chores we get back."
"Alright, aunt."
"Let go, Annie." She urged Annie who looks skinny with puffy eyes.
"Less I forget, I want you to clean up Andrew's wardrobe and mine. The keys to the wardrobe are on the nightstand and take care of my properties, nothing must go missing, is that clear?"
"Sure. Have a wonderful trip."
As soon as their car took off, I went inside and headed straight up to my uncle's bedroom.
Once I let this opportunity slip away then it is over for me and I can't let that happen without taking the chance I've been blessed with.
I believe the documents are still in this house like he spilled out by mistake. He lied to me before when I asked for the papers, unaware it was still in this house.
I walked into the room and got a glimpse of the keys on the nightstand just like she said and picked it up and went over to the two wardrobes at the far end of the room.
I opened up the first wardrobe and began my search going through Lora dresses and other stuff and after long minutes of searching, I didn't see the document and moved to the second one which belongs to my evil uncle.
I hope the document is in this wardrobe?" I murmured and inserted the keys inside the wardrobe.
Madison's POV
After the long journey we arrived at the orphanage.
"Yey!!! Miss Madison is here." A little boy who I remembered as Leo yelled and rushed up to me.
"Hey little boy." I picked him up and pecked him on the cheek.
"Where have you been, Miss Madison. Do you know how much I have missed you?" He pouted his mouth.
"I'm sorry baby. I was so busy with work that I totally forgot about everything but have missed you so much."
"Please, don't leave us again."
""I won't, baby. Where is Belly, Amy and the rest?"
"They're at the playground."
"Okay. Let's go meet them." I suggested, and we headed to the playground which was a few walk away with Mary beside me.
"Everyone, Miss Madison, is here." He shouted the moment we reached the playground to see all the kids playing around but stopped and rushed up to us.
I placed him down as all the kids rushed towards me.
"Calm down kids. I'm enough for you all."
"We miss you so much Miss Madison." They choired.
"I miss you all too."
"Do you know how long we have waited for you to show up?"
"I'm sorry Amy but I'll make it up to you all, okay?"
"Is that a promise?" Billy asked.
""Yes, it's a promise from me to you all."
"Yey!!! We love you Miss Madison." They screamed in unison and hugged me again while Mary was busy laughing.
"I love you all too, that's why I got you all presents!"
"Yey!!!" They shouted again, almost turning me deaf.
"Alright guys. That's enough, let's go inside or you guys won't get the gifts." I instructed them and they all rushed towards the building of the orphanage.
"They're such wonderful kids." Mary uttered.
"They sure are." I responded as we trail behind them.
Casabella's POV
I brought out all the documents I saw in the wardrobe and dropped them on the bed, going after every document.
"Finally!" I cried out as my eyes fell on the will papers with my father's signature and my name and placed it over my chest.
"Dad, I've finally gotten my hands on the papers. I wish you and mum were here to witness me take over my properties and make Andrew and his family pay for causing me pain for all these years." I dropped on my knees and burst out in tears.
After all these years, it's finally in my possession. My father's wealth which should have been mine to handle but that monster snatched it away from me.
I need to get them out of this house quickly before they arrive and notice a change in the house and I have got only one person who can help out.
I put aside the original will papers from the fake one with my uncle's name and father's forged signature and placed them back inside the wardrobe and picked up the original copies leaving the room.
I went to my room and picked up Mr Henry's business card along with the will papers fixed inside an envelope and headed downstairs.
The moment I walked to the living room, I headed over to the telephone and dialled his number and within a few seconds, it was ringing.
It kept ringing until I thought he wouldn't pick up when I heard his voice bloom out.
"Henry Fred speaking. Who is on the line?"
"Hel...hello...Mr Henry, it's Casabella."
"Casabella! It's so good to hear from you. How have you been doing?"
"I'm good, Mr Henry."
"I know you're not but that's alright. I hope there has not been any form of abuse?"
"Well... I've gotten used to it."
"You don't have to keep enduring it, dear. You can always file a case against your uncle in court and I'll support you in every way possible."
"No, I can't do that. Just not now, that's why I need your help with something."
"Sure. What is it, dear?"
"It's not something to talk about over the phone. We need to meet."
"Okay. Where do you suggest it will be comfortable for us to meet?"
"How about we meet at my parents grave?"
"Come on."
"That's the only place I can think of and believe no one will see us together."
"No problem. I'll be there in twenty minutes and I hope those witches aren't on your trail?"
"You mean Lora and Annie?"
"Who else other than them."
"They actually went on a trip and uncle has left for a business trip."
"That's better."
"Okay, Mr Henry. I'll be waiting for you."
"Alright dear. I won't disappoint you." He affirmed and I dropped the call and headed back to my room to change my dress.
I hope I can trust Mr Henry because he seems to know how my uncle is treating me. The moment I saw him, I knew he was my guardian angel sent from above to save me from the torture of my uncle.
After getting dressed, I put on a face cap so as not to be noticed by anyone and placed the envelope inside my bag and walked out of the house with the hope of finding a good place for the will papers to be safe.
