CHAPTER 83

Mark's POV
I tried every possible means to let Rosy explain what she meant by her words but everything proved abortive.
“Sis, are you not going to tell me what you mean by those words you said last night.” I inquired, walking over to join her and Alex in the dining room.
“Brother, it’s really nothing. It’s because I don’t like her a bit, that's why I said the words.”
“But why didn’t you say that last night?”
“I’m sorry. I want a request from you.”
“And what’s that?”
“No matter, don’t let her get into this house or even give her the address to find us.”
“What do you really mean Rosy? I am totally lost here and confused with your construction of words. Is there something you’re not telling me?”
“There’s nothing to talk about. I just don’t like her around me. Will you grant my request?”
“Alright. I won’t let her know any of that. Are you happy?” I inquired as she smiled and ran into my arms.
“I love you brother.”
“I love you too sis.”
I know something is really off with her words on Betty which I will find out soon enough.
“Let's eat, guys. I’m really starving.” Alex uttered which made us pull away from the hug and took our seats.
After having breakfast, Alex insisted on following me to the company to see how Betty looked.
“Buddy, don’t you find Rosy's words suspicious?”
“I know Alex. She’s hiding something from us which I will have to find out about.”
“For Rosy to have said those words, it means Betty is really dangerous.”
“I don’t know buddy. The Betty I knew was a simple loving lady but seeing that look on Rosy got me confused. I think I am missing something out of Betty's tricky ways when she wants to get something from me.”
“I don’t understand you, man. What tricky ways could a simple girl actually exhibit?”
“You won’t understand Alex but I know what I am talking about.”
“Alright but I can tell from the face who looks simple and who looks evil.”
“Get over it man. You can’t tell from the face.”
“I have my ways buddy and you will see.”
We got to the company in about thirty minutes as Thomas informed me of a guest waiting for me in the office.
“Could it be the Betty of a woman?” Alex whispered.
“There’s only one way to find out.” I uttered as we took the elevator to my office.
I just hope she isn’t trying to get back into my life like before because if that’s her plan then she has failed the moment she stepped foot into this company.
Casabella’s POV
I got up from the bed tired and weak due to the constant throw ups from last night and headed to the bathroom to throw up again.
I washed up my face and head back to the room to see my phone ringing to see it was Mark calling. I can’t let him know what I am going through right now.
“Good morning baby.” His voice bloomed out in my ear.
“Good morning love.” I replied, taking a seat on the bed.
“Why is your voice sounding like this? Are you sick?”
“No, I’m not sick. I just got up from sleep.”
“Okay. How is my baby doing?”
“She’s fine.” I smiled, caressing my hand on my stomach.
“That’s good. Take good care of her and yourself as well.”
“Alright, I will.”
“I will talk to you later. Okay? I love you.”
“I love you too. Bye.” I responded and dropped the call.
“Why didn’t you tell him you were up throughout the night?” Mum uttered, standing at the door.
“Mum, good morning. It will only make him cancel his meetings today.”
“I’m really proud of you baby. How do you feel now?”
“No mum. I just threw up again.” I sighed and lay my back on the bed.
“You know it's normal during pregnancy. But I’ve called the doctor and he’s on his way.”
“Thanks mum.”
“Get some rest baby. Are you hungry?”
“Yeah but what’s the point in eating anyway when I am still going to throw it up all.”
“Baby…”
“Yes mum. It’s the truth anyways.”
“Take a shower and get some rest before the doctor arrives.”
“Okay mum.” I mouthed and shut my eyes.

“She will be fine Mrs Williams. She just needs to take those drugs and rest.” The doctor stated.
“Okay doctor. Thank you.”
“You’re welcome Mrs Williams. I will take my leave now.” He said and left the room.
“Let me get a cup of water for you, baby.” She said while I nod in response.
Few minutes later she showed up with the glass of water along with dad and Rosy.
“Princess, how are you feeling?”
“Good dad. What are you doing here Rosy? Why didn’t you tell me you’re coming?”
“I just decided to see you and lucky enough, your mum told me you’re a little bit down.”
“Yes.” I laughed.
“Here is the water, baby. Sit up straight and take the drugs.”
“Don’t worry aunt. I will help her with it.” Rosy said, taking the water from her.
“Okay dear. Let go honey.” She urged dad as they both left the room.
“I’m sure there’s a reason why you showed up unannounced.” I uttered, resting my back on the pillow.
“Yes babe and it’s the one you won’t like.”
“What do you mean?” I inquired.
“Um… my brother’s ex-girlfriend is back.”
“What?” I screamed, sitting up straight.
“I was just as shocked as you are. I am afraid she’s really a problem.”
“Why did she have to show up now when Mark’s life is going great with me?”
“That’s not all Bella. I’m afraid she’s after me because I told my dad she wasn’t fit for my brother.”
“Why would you think that way?”
“That’s because I said it to her face when dad disapproved of her relationship with my brother and she vowed to get revenge on me.”
“Is Mark or Alex aware?”
“I’m afraid not because dad told me not to say a word to him.”
“This is really a big problem to worry about since she’s back to get her revenge and take my man.” I sigh heavily, resting back on the pillow.
Betty’s POV
“Well too bad, he has moved on with his life.” Alex grinned.
“He’s right Betty. I’ve moved on with my life and I guess you need to as well.”
“I thought you would still be waiting for me but it’s alright. Let’s talk about business.” I managed to force a smile.
“Much better.” I heard Alex say.
I don’t know how or where Mark got this guy but he’s really getting on my nerves. Since they walked inside the office, he has been doing the talking then the person I expected to talk to and Mark doesn’t say anything about it.
“So, Mark our company sent our products out to you last month which you accepted and want to sign the contract with us.”
“Yes, the products are really good and will make a good profit for the company.”
“Thank you. It was my idea to produce that product and I’m glad you like it.”
“So the deal I am cutting with your company is $5 million dollars.”
“Alright. Thank you. When am I signing the contract papers?”
“I will have that arranged. I guess it will take a week or so.”
“No problem. I still have more time to spend and I do hope we can catch up together.”
“Sure. As long as it is related to business.” He responded and handed his business card to me.
“I will give you a call and I hope to meet the lucky lady that has taken away your time.”
"I hope you don't get to know her for your own best interest." Alex said, smiling while Mark didn't say a word.
I clearly don't understand where this Alex is driving at? Have I ever done something to him to just hate me or what?
"I will be on my way. Have a lovely day." I stood up and stepped out of the office.
Bloody No! He can’t move on without me and who the hell dared to get him? I must find her by all means.
And the gut of his stupid friend is really unbearable. I wasn’t expecting any of these when I got here and Ronald didn’t tell me Mark has changed a lot.
“What’s wrong Lady B?” Fin, Ronald’s left hand man asked.
“Don’t fucking call me that!” I glared at him.
“I’m sorry ma’am.” He apologised.
“You better be. Get me out of this damn place.” I stated and got into the car.
The sooner I get closer to him the better chances I get to remove his sister out of the picture and as for Alex, I know what to do with him and the bitch who took him away from me once I get to meet her.
