CHAPTER 66

TWO WEEKS LATER
Casabella’s POV
Today is the day Mark was going to sign the contract deal with the international company and will have to present me to the C.E.O as his fiancee.
I’m really scared and nervous at the same time because I haven’t tried something like that with anyone but with Mark, I feel a little bit confident, I will make him proud in front of the C.E.O.
And speaking of him, a lot has happened in the last two weeks. We have grown so fond of each other and can’t keep up without seeing each other.
I was literally more of his acting fiancee in his eyes, I was like a good friend to him because we are always checking up on each other at the office, going on dates to get to know more about each other and agreed to work on the contract together.
However, what keeps pulling me down about our friendship which was built on this same contract will drag us apart. I do have the faith he will bag the contract but will our friendship remain the same or fall apart?
“Here you are. I have been searching everywhere for you.” I heard mum say at the door.
“I guess I was lost in my own thoughts. I’m sorry about that.”
“It’s fine baby. I’m more worried about you. Is something wrong with you?” She asked, taking a seat beside me.
“Yeah, I am fine.” I smiled.
“But it doesn’t seem true on your face. I know there’s something wrong and you’re not saying it. You have been so happy in the last few weeks but all of sudden, your mood just changed today. Please, talk to me baby.” She uttered, holding my hand.
“You do know today is the day Mark and I will finalise his contract?”
“Of course, I’m aware honey. What’s wrong now?”
“I don’t know mum but I just feel once the contract is finalised, Mark won’t treat me the way he has been doing to me since the relationship is based on a contract.”
“Now I get it. Look honey, I have seen it in Mark’s eyes. He isn’t someone who will do such a thing to you. I know he likes you a lot more than you think and you will see it once the contract is successful.”
“I hope so mum. Thanks.”
“Less I forget. Your date is waiting for you.” She announced which made me blush.
“How do I look?”
“You look sexy. I’m sure the C.E.O will sign the contract instantly even before the presentation.” She said jokingly.
“You’re so funny, mum.”
“I know, right. Let's get that contract once and for all.”
“Yeah!” I uttered firmly as we walked out of the room laughing.
Mark’s POV
Madison’s dad and I were having a discussion when the sound of heels coming from the stairs, which revealed Madison and her mum, walking down the stairs.
I couldn’t take my eyes off Madison as they both walked up to us. She was looking gorgeously beautiful in the wine dress fitting perfectly with my suit.
“You look beautiful.” I found myself complimenting her.
“Thank you.” She replied shyly.
“You look more like Williams' daughter.” Her dad joked as we all chuckled.
“You look so beautiful my love.” He added and hugged her.
I can see how they love one another so much just like the way Rosy, Alex and I love one another very much.
“I don’t really have much to say then to wish you guys luck on the contract and also be careful.” Mr Williams said.
“Well for me I did say, go get that contract!”
“Okay mum.” She smiled as we made our way out of the mansion.
We walked towards the cars as one of my bodyguards opened the limousine for us as we got in.
She was looking restless as I held on to her hands and uttered calming words to her as she smiled looking really cute.
I moved closer to her face staring deeply into her eyes which could melt someone’s heart.
“Mark, is something on my face?” She asked.
“Not really but you look so tempting.” I admitted all of a sudden as she bit her lips, making the matter even worse as I grabbed hold of her waist and pulled her closer to my body.
“What are you doing Mark?” She asked again as I looked down to her lips.
“This!” I replied and crushed my lips with her lips.
Her lips felt really soft and tasted like fresh strawberries. I don’t know what came over me to kiss or what she will take me for but I know I feel something for her deep in my heart.
She gave me entrance to her mouth instantly as I kept savouring her lips going every corner while she kept following every one of my movements.
After long minutes of kissing her, I came back to my right senses and pulled away from the kiss to see her looking shocked.
“I’m sorry for kissing you. I don’t know what came over me.” I apologised.
“It’s okay. I have never done such a thing with anyone, that's why it’s still a shock to me.”
“You mean I just stole your first kiss?” I asked confuse at her
“Yes.”
“Wow! I’m really sorry about it. I never knew about that.”
“It’s okay.” She replied blushing and took her eyes off me.
This is really shocking and confusing. Does she mean she and her ex boyfriend never shared anything together or is there something I am missing?
“Where are we going sir?” The chauffeur asked.
“Take us to Neon company.”
“Okay sir.” He responded and ignited the engines following after the other cars.
Casabella’s POV
“Are you ready to finally do this?” Mark asked me again.
“Yes, I am ready. Let's nail this contract once and for all.” I uttered confidently.
“Okay. Let go.” He responded as we got down from the car and held on to each other's hands.
We got inside the company as a woman greeted us and urged us to where the meeting was being held.
Not quite long, we arrived where the meeting was held and met about six numbers of men and two women seated on the round table as the elderly man with grey hair in the front seat smiled at us.
“Welcome Mr Clinton. We all have been waiting for you both.” The man said, getting up from his seat to meet us.
“Thank you Mr Noah.”
“Good morning sir.” I greeted the man as he shook hands with Mark.
“Good morning Miss Madison. Mr Clinton has told me a lot about you and meeting you in person says more than he told me. Please, join us.” He stated as he gestured us to the empty seats beside him.
“Thank you Mr Noah.” Mark responded, holding on to my hand as we walked over to the seats.
I was expecting him to take his seat first but he pulled a seat for me, making the members including Mr Noah stare at us in surprise.
“I can see that both of you love is really strong.” Mr Noah smiled while Mark chuckled, still holding on to my hand.
“That’s right Mr Noah. We are a perfect match made in heaven.” He lied as I forced a smile feeling bad for what we were doing.
I wish it didn’t have to come to this level and I wish we were really a thing but it’s only due to this contract and nothing more.
“You both are really perfect indeed. Love is really a wonderful feeling.”
“I agree with that Mr Noah.”
“Okay. Shall we begin with the presentation?” He added as Mark got up to present his own part before I could take over.

“With the product I am confident it will enrich the lives of millions of people all over the world.” I concluded as everyone applauded for me
“Good job, Miss Madison.” Mr Noah uttered.
“Thank you sir.” I bowed my head before taking my seat waiting for the decision.
"Your presentation is really good and I must say, you both are not just perfect for each other but destined for one another. Congratulations Mr Clinton. You just got the contract.” He announced as we all applauded him.
"I still have some words to say." He added as we all stopped clapping.
"This contract wasn't only based on this presentation. Over the years, I have been wanting to meet a successful man with a woman as his strength. When Mr Clinton approached me for a deal, I had to make him present his fiancee before me. Not for any negative motive but to see where his strength lies and today I have seen it. I'm really proud of you Mr Clinton and you too, Miss Madison for being a supportive fiancee."
"If you wish to say a word or two, you are free to go ahead, Mr Clinton." He concluded as we applauded him again.
Mark, who was looking extremely happy, looked me in the eyes before getting up.
"I'd like to thank you so much Mr Noah for believing in me and having to make me understand the true meaning of what it really feels like when you are with the right person. Also, all the credit goes to my fiancee who is the reason behind this great success of mine. Thank you so much Madison for coming into my life." He uttered, as his words were so true and pure.
Over the moments we spent for this contract, he has shown me nothing but pure affection and love that I have never received from any man.
I wish I had met him this way earlier, my life would have been really good having such a man who cherishes a woman like a father. I wish he was my man, I would have been the luckiest woman on earth.
