CHAPTER 61
MORNING
Mark’s POV
“I’m so excited brother. I can’t wait for Alex and I to get engaged.” Rosy exclaimed, dancing around the living room.
“I know, right. Do you really love him that much?”
“Of course brother, why are you asking me that kind of question all of a sudden?”
“Nothing. I’m just glad you have found the person you love.” I replied with a smile.
“Yes and I hope you found yours soon.” She mentioned which made me smile even more.
I have found my love but she’s missing but I believe fate will bring us together, somehow and somewhere I know she will come to me because we are meant for each other.
“What are you lost on, brother?” My sister’s voice jolted me back.
“I’m sorry. What were you saying?”
“Never mind brother. Are you sure you’re alright?”
“I’m fine sis.” I assured her as she nodded in response before two of the maids walked up to us.
“Breakfast is ready sir, ma’am.”
“Okay. Thank you.” She responded to them as they both left.
“Let's go have breakfast brother.”
“Okay.” I replied as we both headed towards the dining.
“I wish Alex was here. We would have had breakfast together.”
“You do know that’s not possible for now until the engagement party but you both are allowed to call each other.”
“That's because you choose to make it that way which isn't fair to me, brother. I’m badly missing him.”
“Then once you are done with your breakfast, you can do a video call with him . Are you happy now?”
“Thank you so much brother. I’m so happy right now.”
“Don’t get too excited. Can we have our breakfast now?” I chuckled and took my seat as she did the same before the maids began to dish out the meals.
Casabella’s POV
“Good morning dad, mum.”
“Good morning darling.” Mum answered.
“How was your night princess?” Dad inquired as I joined them for breakfast.
“My night was splendid. I kept thinking how the dress mum got for me would fit me.”
“Really baby! I’m glad you love the dress that much.”
“Yes mum. I really do. Thank you once again for the dress.”
“You have thanked me like a million times. Sean, please tell her I am doing all these because I love her so much.”
“You’re so funny honey. You can tell her yourself.” He chuckled and urged me to take a seat beside him.
“You can’t stop me from showing gratitude towards you.” I teased her.
“Is that so? I guess I will have to work on making you stop it in one way or the other.”
“Seriously mum.”
“Yes, wait and see how I remove that word from your tongue.” She added while I just smiled.
She’s really no different from my mum. That was how my mum talked when she was still alive. I wish she was here with me to see how I am living a good life now. Nevertheless, I still see her as my second mum here and I hope my mum is very happy wherever she is with dad as well.
EVENING
“You’re looking stunning baby.” Mum commented as the makeover artists rounded up their work on my face.
“You’re totally beautiful.” Mary added and I smiled.
“Thanks Mary.”
“Time to put on the dress baby, Mary will help you out with it.” Mum said while Mary and I head to my dressing room.
Minutes after putting on the dress, we both walked out of the room as mum kept admiring the dress on me.
“You're looking sexy, beautiful and dashing."
"Thanks mum." I chuckled as dad walked into the room.
"Wow! You're a really beautiful angel. I wish it was your wedding day."
"You're so funny, dad." I smiled.
"You're looking evergreen like a princess."
"Thanks dad."
"Baby, you need to hurry up or you're going to be late."
"Okay mum. Mary, please help me with the dress." I requested and picked up my black purse as we all walked out of the room.
THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY
Casabella’s POV
“Are you sure I look okay, Mary?” I whispered to Mary as we arrived at the mansion which was a huge mansion more like a castle.
“Yes Madison. You look beautiful.”
“I’m just so nervous and I don’t know why?”
“There’s absolutely nothing to worry about. You’re only going to see new faces, that's all.”
“Exactly. I need to get it together and act just the way Madison would do.”
“Yep. That’s the spirit.” She encouraged me as we stepped out of the car.
“Let go, Miss Madison.” Norman uttered as he led us inside the mansion with two other bodyguards behind us.
We got to the entrance as the two guards stayed behind while Norman, Mary and I walked inside the mansion to see the place looking extremely outstanding as the decorations were done so perfectly.
“Mary, where is the C.E.O of the company? I want to meet him.”
“You will get to meet him.” She replied and I nodded, staring around as other guests were chatting with one or the other.
The guests aren’t really much. I guess they don’t want to make it public but the party looks great.
I wonder where the people who want to get engaged are. I’m sure they will make a perfect couple.
Mark’s POV
“Make sure the guests are served well or else you won’t like my reaction.” I cautioned the event planner and caterers.
“We will do our job very well sir. Be rest assured, I won’t fail you, sir.” The event planner stated.
“Good. You all can get back to work.” I ordered as they left.
I want this engagement party to be perfect with no flaw. I don’t know why that dick head is taking so long to arrive. He doesn’t know when to be serious with things.
I signalled one of the bodyguards to come over and asked him to check outside to see if Alex had arrived.
I was about heading back upstairs to check up on Rosy when I saw Madison talking to her personal assistant.
She was looking so gorgeous and stunningly breathtaking in her dress and without wasting time I walked up to them.
“You’re here Madison.” I uttered as both locked eyes together as she reacted just like the way she acted at the restaurant.
“Yes. Good evening.” She answered in a soothing voice which sounded like my Casabella.
Casabella’s POV
“He’s the same man I knew back in New York.” I whispered to Mary feeling a great sense of heat all over my body.
“It's really a coincidence, what do you plan to do now?”
“I don’t know Mary. He seems nice towards me thinking I am the real Madison but if he had known I am Casabella, he would have probably acted rude.”
“He must be a changed man now because he was rude towards Madison at first but they later got along which am sure you will get along with him.”
“Alright.” I replied.
*****
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen. Let's welcome Miss Rosy Clinton and Alex Fred on the stage to engage rings.” A man announced over the microphone.
The lady has the same name as the lady I met back then in New York. I thought staring at the stage as a man held a lady’s hands as they both walked over to the stage. I couldn’t see her face until she turned around and only for me to exclaim with my hands on my mouth preventing people from noticing except for Mary who was right next to me.
She’s exactly the same lady and Mark is the brother she talked about. Why didn’t I notice this before from their appearance?
“Is everything all right Maddy?” Mary whispered to me.
“No. Everything isn’t alright.”
“What do you mean?”
“It’s really her. I didn’t know she was related to Mark.”
“Do you know her as well?” She asked and I nodded.
“I don’t think this is really a coincidence. Fate wants you three to reunite again.” She added and I kept mute staring at the stage.
***
“Congratulations to you both.” A blonde lady uttered and handed a bouquet of flowers to Rosy and her fiance.
“Thank you so much.” She replied with a smile as Mary and I walked over with our gift to them.
“Miss Madison, you finally made it. How have you been?” The man which I guess is Alex asked.
“Yes, I had to. Congratulations.” I responded, handing a bouquet of rose flowers to him.
“Thank you so much.”
“Congratulations to you too, Miss Rosy.”
“Thank you very much. Your voice sounds familiar. Do I know you from somewhere?” She enquired.
“I don’t think so but it’s nice to meet you.”
“It's alright but I do hope to get to know you more.” She smiled.
“Sure.” I smiled back as she took out her card and stretched it to me.
"You can call me anytime so we can get to know each other much better."
"Alright. Here is mine as well." I replied and handed my business card to her.
"I will definitely give you a call."
