CHAPTER 26
Casabella's POV
"Good day ma'am. Here are the fake copies sir." The man who happens to be Mr Henry's manager uttered.
"Thank you. I hope they're fake?"
"Purely fake, sir."
"Okay. You can head back to the company."
"Alright sir." He bowed and left.
"So this is it, my dear. You need to replace it back where you picked the original copies."
"Okay, godfather. I'll do that. Thank you."
"You are welcome, my child. And one more thing, don't worry about cleaning the house. I'll send over some cleaners from my company to get the house cleaned up. You don't have to do a thing, is that taken."
"Yes, godfather. Thank you so much. I'm really grateful."
"I wish I had met you earlier, I would have saved you from this mess a long time ago and now, I'll work in your favour and find a good spot for this paper. Come here." He spread his hands and I ran into his embrace.
"You've done enough by helping me keep the papers safe which I'll forever remain grateful to you."
"And that I'll uphold until you are strong and ready to take action in your life."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention. Let me take you home."
"Okay." I nodded in response and we both got into the car as he initiated the car engine, driving us from the premises of the grave.
*****
"We're here. I hope you'll be good all by yourself?"
"Yes, I will. I'm a strong woman after all."
"Of course. Take care."
"And you too, godfather." I added and walked down from the car.
"Be rest assured. The cleaners will be on their way, just don't stress yourself."
"Okay, I won't. Bye."
"Take care." He replied and sped off.
I headed inside the house and took the stairs to my uncle and Lora's room.
I walked into the room and picked up the keys to my uncle's wardrobe and brought out the fake papers and fixed it back where I saw the original ones and closed up the wardrobe after fixing everything in order.
Madison's POV
"I would love to stay a little longer but I need to be at a place. But I promise to come visit again."
"I don't want you to go. I feel it will be our last encounter with you." Philips, a seven year old cute boy with black curly hair cried out.
"Don't say that, honey. Nothing will stop me from coming to check up on my darlings, not even work, okay?"
"Okay." He murmured.
"Now, I want you all to give me a smile." I requested and they smiled.
"That's why you all are my babies. Come give me a hug."
I feel sad I can't spend more time with them but I promise to visit them on a regular basis and keep showering them with love. My love for them is undefined, I just derive joy and happiness whenever I set eyes on kids like them.
"That's okay, darlings. I promise to get you all lots of presents, okay?"
"Okay Miss Madison."
"I will miss you guys and don't forget I love you all." I blew them a kiss.
"We love you too." They choired and blew kisses back to me.
"Bye!"
"Bye, miss Madison." They waved at me and I did the same as Mary and I walked out of the building heading outside to meet the bodyguards.
"Welcome back Madams." The bodyguards bowed.
"Thank you, let's get going." I stated and they opened the door for me.
I was about to get in when five cars drove in with a series of bodyguards coming out.
Who could it be? I thought and decided to see who it was and behold, it was Mr Clinton. He walked out of the car with Mr Alex and headed towards us.
Is he spying on me or something? How did he get to know I'm here?
"Hello Miss Madison." He called, with my name.
"Hello Mr Clinton."
"Miss Madison, it's so good to see you again."
"Same here, Alex." I smiled at him.
"We came with a request, Miss Madison and we're hoping you'll grant us the request."
"Alright, I'm all ears, Alex. What can I do?" I inquired while Mr Clinton turned his face away looking like someone who was finding it difficult to hear the words.
"Our company has a business party to attend in Spain and Mark here will like to take an escort, a woman to be precise so we're hoping you'll grant us the request of going together with him as a business associate."
Is this some kind of joke or something else? I also don't want to be around a rude man like him but since it is for the company, there is no harm in going with him.
"It's a good time, you showed up today. My flight back to London is tomorrow but notwithstanding, I'll cancel it."
"Thank you, Miss Madison."
"You're welcome. When is the party held?"
"Unfortunately, it's tomorrow so Mark will be leaving tonight."
"Oh... that's fast."
"Yes, it is but we'll send a chauffeur and a few bodyguards over to pick you up."
"Alright. I'll forward my address to you."
"Sure. Thank you once again."
"My pleasure." I mentioned and stared at Mr Clinton whose face was unpredictable and didn't say much.
What could have gone wrong to have made him this quiet?
"Let go Mary." I urged her and we got into the car and the driver took off.
Mark's POV
"You just made me look like a fool in front of her."
"Come on bro. I didn't and I'm sure she didn't take it that way."
"Then tell me, how did she take my attitude?"
"She believes you're probably angry or shy to ask her out because you're unpredictable sometimes. You're always putting up a straight face to others to make them think you're a cold man who's just a softy."
"Save that for yourself. I can't even ask her out. She's a business associate and not even my type so how can I be in a relationship with her?"
"Dude, I meant for the party. You're really something else."
"Hey, don't make me lash you out."
"You wouldn't because I'm your sister's boyfriend and your best friend." He bragged.
"I'm not in the mood, buddy." I chatted and headed to the car and got in while he rushed up and joined me.
"I'm just saying, bro. Moreover, I did lay out a condition to you if you want my help which you agreed to. So how's it my fault now?"
"You better be right about how she feels about my silence or you're going to get it from me."
"Okay big brother." He smirked.
Madison's POV
"Babe, I can't believe Mr Clinton was shy to ask you out for the party." She laughed.
"I still don't know if he was shy because his face didn't look like someone who looked shy. Didn't you see that his face was emotionless?"
"But I had a feeling he was shy, if it wasn't the case, why would his best friend ask you when he could just say it himself."
"I guess. So when are they going to pick you up?"
"Perhaps by five in the evening because right now, we're going for the tour and nothing is going to stop it."
"I was hoping the same but you made mention of a wine plantation you will show me."
"Oh that's right. I got lost. Take us to the wine plantation before we embark on the tour."
"Okay Miss."
Casabella's POV
Mr Henry fulfilled his words by sending the cleaners to clean the house which they did perfectly and left.
I still can't believe he gave them strict orders not to make me do anything. I'm really lucky to have met such a nice man. It is really rare to find people as kind as him and I hope I'll repay him back one day for all these.
"Enough of all that, girl. Go take a bath and get some rest." My inner voice said.
I do need it, a lot to be precise and I don't mind sleeping for twenty four hours but that won't be possible because Lora will be back in a few hours time.
After making lunch, I headed to my room and had a shower and settled into a jeans bum short and a top.
I walked downstairs to the kitchen and dish out a large portion of spaghetti and added meat balls to it and took it over to the dining table.
Since no one is around, I have the full right to have my lunch in the dining room without anyone telling me not to eat there.
After eating to my satisfaction, I washed the utensils and headed to my room to sleep before Lora get back.
Madison's POV
We finally ended up in the central park, the world's most famous urban park in New York with lots of activities.
"This place seems so beautiful."
"Let's book two tickets and join them for the tour."
"Okay"
~~~
"This is so much fun!!!" Mary and I screamed on the ferris wheel.
"You can say that once again." I yelled and after going several rides, we headed to a local food stall to grab something to eat.
"Two plates of pasta salad and pesto chicken wraps." I ordered and after a few minutes they handed it to me.
"Here you go, babe."
"Thanks."
"You're welcome."
"Where should we head to now?"
"I was thinking of a Cinema but once we're done with our meals."
"Alright." She replied and we took our seats beside the food stall and began to dig in.
