CHAPTER 42

Mark's POV
I was having dinner with Alex and Rosy when my phone buzzed and I checked the caller to see it was Leo.
I have kept him busy keeping an eye on Casabella and reporting every one of her movements to me. It no lie I'm in love with her in and out and I can't seem to
"He must have good news to give me." I thought to myself with a smile on my face and picked up the call.
"Tell me, Leo."
"I can't find her."
"What the hell did you just say?" I questioned him getting up on my feet.
"She can't be found, King. She ran away from the house last night when I was asleep."
"Find her by all means." I bellowed and ended the call.
"What happened Mark? Who are you talking about?" Alex enquired.
"Yes brother, what's going on?" Rosy added.
"There's nothing wrong. I'll be in my study room." I stated and headed to the study room.
For the first time in my life, I feel scared of losing someone who I have grown to fall in love with.
I walked to my desk and sat down, almost losing my mind.
Where and what could have made her leave the house late by that hour? I wondered and brought out the recent photos of her that Leo took a few days back.
"Where are you, my love?" I stared at her picture with sadness.
AUTHOR'S POV
The mansion was already back to the way it was. Sean already called upon the secret agents who provided him with bodyguards and informed them of his ordeal which they sent some group of people to clean up the house and take care of the dead bodies.
Madison's corpse was however taken for autopsy to keep her body safe.
He felt if he was doing the right thing by using his dead daughter's face to save a stranger. But it will be to his advantage to see his daughter's face on someone so he won't have to miss her too much.
But how he would break the news to his wife was what kept him thinking to himself.
After a while the private doctor Sean called earlier walked into the house and found Sean disorganised, unaware of his presence.
"Good morning Mr Williams." He greeted Sean, making him jolt back to the present.
"You're here Dr Daniel." Sean uttered and urged the old looking man of middle age with him to a seat.
"Yes, Mr Williams. I was attending to other issues at the hospital."
"It's alright. The victim is in the guest room to your left."
"Okay Mr Williams but are you sure you're okay? You don't look good to me."
"I'm fine, Dr Daniel. You can go treat the patient."
"Alright, if you say so." Dr Daniel responded and headed to the stairs.
Not quite long, Daisy woke up to see herself all alone on the bed and burst out in tears recalling all that happened.
She couldn't believe her only child is gone forever and she has to leave without a child for the rest of her life.
"My baby, Madison. Why didn't you tell me something was wrong and you can't do it all alone?" She said to herself sniffing.
After crying herself out, she crawled out of the bed and trooped over to the bathroom and washed off her face.
She walked out of the room and headed to meet her husband in the living room.
"Honey, you're awake?"
"Where's out baby?" She asked instead.
"She's with the agents. They're running an autopsy on her."
"My baby girl." She burst out in tears.
"I have thought about something which I believe is the only way to keep remembering our daughter."
"What's that?" She inquired, sniffing.
Dr Daniel left a long time ago after administering some drugs to Norman who took them and fell asleep so he cleared his throat and broke the news to her.
"Let's use our daughter's face for the strange girl we knocked down on the way to her."
"No Sean! This is not you saying this." She objected.
"Honey, I know you don't like the idea but please hear me out. The only chance of survival for the girl is a face transplant. If we use our daughter's face on her, we will believe she's still alive with us or don't you feel that way?"
"Yes, I really do. I was only being selfish to save that girl's life." She confessed, crying softly.
"You're not selfish, my love. You just didn't understand it that way."
"Honey, I totally agree with your suggestion. But how will the strange girl feel when she learns we use our daughter's face on her?"
"I'm sure she will understand we do it to save her and the love we have for our daughter."
"I hope so."
"Let's prepare to leave for New York tonight. The more we spend time, the more the chance of saving the girl." He suggested.
"Yes, I agree with you." She replied and he kissed her on the forehead before hugging her.
Deep down Sean, he believe the strange girl will help them in finding justice for their daughter when she learns the truth of how she was murdered in cold blood.
NEW YORK, USA
Sean and Daisy arrive in New York after informing Norman of an urgent situation they need to handle.
In less than an hour they arrived at Sean's best friend's hospital and proceeded to the ward where the girl was receiving treatment.
"Honey, wait here let me get Sam." Sean said to his wife.
"Alright darling." She replied and walked over to the girl on the bed while her husband walked out.
Daisy stared at the figure and noticed the girl looked extremely beautiful at the other side of the burnt area.
"Who could have done such a terrible thing to her?" She thought to herself, caressing the strange girl's right cheek which wasn't burnt.
"You look just like my baby girl. Do you know I was planning to surprise her but had to receive the bitter news of her death." She uttered to the strange girl who was still unconscious.
"My baby girl was very friendly and kind to everyone just the way I had brought her up to be but I don't know what she did to have made those monsters kill her." She added bitterly and broke down in tears.
She felt half dead without her baby and seeing the strange girl made her remember how her baby girl looked. She reminds her of the same age as her daughter and how she looks beautiful just like her but the strange girl is a lot prettier than her baby.
Minutes passed, she was still wiping when her husband walked into the ward with Dr Sam, his best friend.
Sean on the other hand was shocked to see his wife still crying over the death of their daughter.
He couldn't say anything and hugged her to himself while his best friend checked on the patient.
"It's okay, my love. I'm here with you." Sean whispered, caressing her cheek as she kept sniffing.
"Sean, I already spoke to one of the best doctors in the aspect of face surgery. He will be with us shortly."
"Okay." Sean responded and continued consoling his wife.
Their daughter's death did hit them hard but they have got to move on and find justice for their daughter.
"She must have left a clue for us to find but what could it be?" He wondered and promised to check her room once they arrived back in London.
Shortly after, a middle aged man in his 60's walked in which made both couple untangle from each other to see who it was.
"Sean, this is the doctor. Dr Edward Oliver." Dr Sam introduced the man to the couple.
"Nice to meet you, Dr Edward." Sean uttered and shook hands with him.
"Nice to meet you too, Mr Williams. I've heard a lot about you in business and from Dr Sam."
"I'm very pleased to hear that." Sean responded and smiled. He was well known in business all over the world before his daughter, Madison took over but his good will forever remains the same.
***
"Just like Dr Sam has explained to you. A face surgery needs to be done on her but it won't be carried out here in America."
"Where will it be done?" Daisy asked.
"In London. My hospital is in London and I have the best doctors to work with so all I need is your signature in these documents to carry out the operation."
"No problem. Let me have the documents." Sean requested and signed the documents.
"One more thing, Mr and Mrs Williams. Are you sure you want us to use your daughter's face because once it's done, there's no turning back."
"Yes, we're totally sure." Daisy stated confidently and her husband nodded in response.
She believes the strange girl will be a second version of her daughter and hopes the girl accepts them as her parents after the operation.
Mark's POV
I couldn't control my anger when Leo confirmed she was really missing. I told him to keep a close eye on her and now she's gone for good.
"Find the best men looking for her. I'm sure she's still in the country."
"Okay, King." He bowed and left.
Once she's found I won't make any attempt to let her go away. I'll make her my woman even if she won't agree to it.
I was stupid for making her feel bad after facing a lot from her uncle and his family.
There has got to be a reason why she left the house. Could it be that she was chased out or something? I really can't say but I must find out.
I'll have Leo look into the matter and if what he finds out about is a reason, I will take action on it and make sure they pay dearly most especially that son of a bitch called Andrew.
