CHAPTER 58

Casabella's POV
We walked to the car where I saw godfather and the lawyer waiting for us.
"Congratulations darling. I'm so proud of you. At last you finally did it!" Godfather commented and pulled me into a hug.
“Congratulations on your victory Miss Madison.” Mr Jeff congratulated me as godfather and I pulled away from the hug.
“Thank you Mr Jeff. It wouldn’t have been a great success without you.”
“Don’t mention. I’m glad I did my work perfectly.”
“Thank you once again.” I thanked him sincerely.
“You’re welcome.” He responded.
“Congratulations Miss Madison.” Norman complimented me as well.
“Thank you Norman.” I responded with a smile feeling great accomplishment as I have finally reclaimed my possession after these years.
“So what next honey?”
“I’m leaving for London in an hour or so to start a new life now.”
“I wish you can stay a little longer but promise me you will come visit me during holidays?”
“I definitely will come visit you. I wish I could stay as well but I need to be with my new family. I’d promise to return back once everything is over and start my life all over with this new identity.”
“That’s right, daughter. I’m really glad you can get to live a normal life now since you have finally put Andrew and his concubines in a place they deserve.”
“Yes. I’m finally at peace right now and I don’t have to worry about any form of threat in my life again.”
“You deserve simply the best things of life which you are enjoying right now.”
“Totally.” I burst out laughing.
“Sorry to disturb you, Miss Madison but we don’t have much time left to prepare to leave.” Norman informed me again which I nodded in response.
“I’m really going to miss you so much, godfather.” I uttered, almost tearing up.
“I will miss you too, nevertheless, we will stay in touch over the phone.” He mentioned.
“Yeah, I guess so. I have to go now, godfather, we don’t have much time left.”
“Okay daughter. Have a safe trip and don’t forget to give me a call when you arrive at your destination.”
“I will for sure. Look after Miriam and the rest. Tell them I love them and will come back soon.”
“I will tell them just as you have said. I love you daughter.” He replied and gave me a peck on the check.
“I love you too, godfather.” I hugged him once more before hopping into the car with Mr Jeff and Norman and bidding godfather farewell.
We were on the way to my mansion to pack up my luggage before heading back to the main mansion that belongs to Mr Williams when his call came over on my phone.
“Hello dear. How did the court trial go?”
“Good afternoon Mr Williams. I won the trial.”
“That’s great news. Congratulations!”
“Thank you Sir.”
“You’re welcome dear. Daisy is dying to talk to you, wait a second let me hand over the phone to her now.”
“Alright. Give her the phone.”
“Hi darling. How are you doing?”
“I’m okay.”
“Congratulations on your success. When are you planning to return?”
“Thank you so much. I will be leaving today.”
“No problem. I will be expecting you soon. You really have a lot to discuss.” She said, sounding happy.
I don’t know how but I feel a motherly connection with her. She seems friendly and carefree each time she’s talking to me.
“Okay. I also have a lot to tell you.”
“How sweet! I can’t wait then.” She replied and gave the phone back to Mr Williams.
“See you soon, dear.”
“Okay. Bye.”
***
After packing my luggage in my mansion, we headed back to the Williams mansion and packed as well and made our way to where the private plane had been parked.
“We will arrive soon Madam.” Norman explained.
“Okay.” I replied, going through my phone as the car came to a stop due to the traffic signal.
“She looks really beautiful. I wish I had met her before.” I uttered to myself checking the pictures of the late Madison.
I can’t stop praising her beauty. She has everything; the curves, the skin and the looks. I can’t deny the fact that she's really more beautiful than I looked before.
I was so engrossed with the phone and didn’t pay attention to the noise that was going on until Norman yelled at me.
“Put your head down Miss Madison. We’re under attack.”
That’s when reality hit me as I took a look at the reflection of the glass to the gunmen firing at us.
“Please, don’t take your head up Miss Madison. Everything will be alright.” Norman assured me as he urged the driver to drive fast.
Unknown POV
“Shit! We lost them.” I cussed out with rage.
“Jake, I can’t believe it's the same woman the boss killed that we just saw.” One of my men mentioned.
“Will you just shut the fuck up? I know she’s the same woman but how she survived that death is what I don’t understand.”
“That’s right. What are we going to tell the boss now?”
“We have to inform him no matter what.”
“But don’t you think he will punish us for making her escape?”
“I'm aware of that. We will have to keep it a secret from him or he's going to kill us. Is that noted, boys?"
"Noted Boss."
I must find out how she survived it or could it be that she has a look alike because she was killed in London then how did she get to New York in just a matter of time? Definitely the woman we saw is her new alike nothing more.
My only fear is the boss finding out she has a look alike and might think she's still the same woman. I have got to keep it away from him or he will wipe out my family.
Casabella’s POV
“What the hell happened back there, Norman?” I asked him as we got down from the car heading towards the plane.
“I’m not in the right position to tell you anything right now but once we arrive in London, you can ask Mr Williams.”
“But why are they firing at us? I’m sure you know them, right?”
“Yes, I do ma’am but I can’t say a word again. I’m sorry but we need to get back to London immediately."
Why do I have a feeling they are keeping me in the dark and who the hell are those people trying to kill us? Definitely something isn't right and I must find out everything once we arrive back in London.
"Okay." I answered without any further argument and trooped inside the plane along with him and the bodyguards.
*******
I didn't waste time when we arrived at the mansion. I walked out of the car and headed inside to meet them in the living room.
"Oh darling! You startled us! Why didn't you call us when you arrived?" Mrs Williams asked, smiling.
I wish she knew we were attacked in New York, she wouldn't have been saying all these.
"What's wrong dear? You aren't saying anything? Did we do something wrong?"
"We almost got killed by a group of gunmen in New York and Norman said you both have the answers I need." I revealed.
"What!!! But how's that possible?" Mrs Williams exclaimed.
"Could it be those people?" Mr Williams uttered.
"What people? Why are those people after us?"
"What I have been afraid to hear. God! This can't be happening again." Mrs Williams uttered, shaking her head.
"What are you talking about?"
"I guess it's about time we tell you the truth. Come have a seat." He urged me to the sofa as I joined them.
"What truth are you talking about?" I asked curiously.
"We wanted to tell you about it after you were revived from the coma but you didn't give us a listening ear and we thought perhaps, those men won't come again but I guess we thought otherwise." He said with a heavy sigh and continued.
"The face you're using right now is the person they are trying to kill, not you."
"You mean this face? But whose face is it actually?"
"It's my daughter's face and those men after you are the ones who killed her." He confessed looking away while Mrs Williams was already in tears.
This is really a shock indeed. I thought as much but I needed to hear it from them.
"What really happened to her and why are those men bent on killing me?"
"I will explain everything to you but please take note that we didn't mean to hurt you by giving you her face. We only did it to save your life."
"My baby!" Mrs Williams bawled with uncontrollable tears.
It must have been so hard for her to lose her daughter. I really feel her pain but what I don't understand is what did she do to those men to have killed her?
