CHAPTER 80

ONE MONTH LATER
Casabella’s POV
“Rosy, are you alright in there? How many lines did you see?” I yelled outside the bathroom.
“Give me a second.” She replied in a sober tone.
I don’t think everything is alright. I wonder what the pregnancy test revealed to have made her tone change suddenly.
She walked out of the bathroom muffling her tears as I rushed up to her.
“What’s wrong Rosy? What does the test say?” I asked but she just handed the urine pregnancy test kit and I checked to see it has two lines which means it's positive.
“You’re really pregnant. Congratulations.”
“Yes, I am really pregnant. You have no idea how happy I am.” She exclaimed and hugged.
“I’m so happy for you Rosy. When do you plan to inform Alex about it?”
“I want to surprise him. I’m sure she’s going to be so happy about it.”
“He will be so happy to hear the good news.” I assured her smiling warmly.
“Why don’t you try to take the test as well? I’m sure you’re pregnant as well.” She giggled, handing one of the test kits to me.
“That’s not possible Rosy. I saw my period last month.”
“But you haven’t seen it this month, have you?”
"Well no but it's still coming."
"Do the test and prove my words wrong." She dared me.
"Alright, I'll definitely prove you wrong on this." I accepted taking the kit from her and strolled to the bathroom.
I picked one of the bowls from the one's I got her and ease myself in it.
I know I am not pregnant so there's no cause for alarm. With that confidence I took out the kit from the package and dipped it into the urine.
After a while, I took it out waiting for the result. Seconds later one of the lines appeared and the next minute another line appeared again making it two.
That's means I am really pregnant? No God! She's really right about it. I'm really pregnant with Mark's child.
"What's the result, Cassy?" She yelled outside and walked inside.
"It's positive." I announced and handed the kit to her.
"That's great news Cassy. When are you going to tell my brother about it?"
"Rosy, at this moment I have to keep this to myself. I don't think it's the right time to announce it to him."
"What are you saying, Cassy? Aren't you not happy you're pregnant?"
"I'm happy and shocked at the same time. But I'm just scared how Mark will take the news. I don't know if he wants a child now or not."
"Come on babe. This isn't you saying all these. My brother will never reject his blood and knowing it even from you will make him the happiest man."
"I'll think about it Rosy."
"Please, don't keep it hidden from him. He will definitely accept it." She pleaded with me.
"Okay." I replied as we walked out of the bathroom.
Mark’s POV
I was going through a contract file in my study room when Casabella walked in looking all pale and sad.
I dropped the document off my table and rushed towards her.
"Baby, are you okay?" I held her to my body as we walked over to the sofa close to the book shelf.
"Yeah. I'm just feeling a slight headache."
"Should I call the doctor?"
"No, I will be fine. I just need some rest." She uttered, resting her head on my shoulder.
"Alright baby. Let me take you to the room to rest."
"No, I want to stay here with you."
"Okay, my love." I replied and urged her to rest her head on my lap.

After making sure she's asleep, I carried her to our room and strolled back to my study room to meet Leo.
"King, is ma'am alright?" He asked in concern.
"Yeah, she's having a headache, that's all. What brings you here?"
"I got a call from one of my spies about the devil's eye."
"But I told you to stop the search."
"Yes, you did boss but my spy happens to join as one of the devil's eye men."
"How was he able to do that and is he to be trusted?"
"He's my younger brother, King. He got informed of their search for strong men and grabbed the opportunity."
"Good. What did he find?"
"The lady who hired Ronald Dickson isn't an ordinary woman."
"What do you mean?"
"She's someone you know and she's addressed as Lady B."
"Lady B?"
"Yes King. That's the name she's called. Also there's some romance between Ronald and her."
"Who the hell is she? I don't know any lady by the name, Lady B."
"I'll look into it, King."
"Alright Leo. Thank you."
"You're welcome sir."
I need to recall the lady even though I haven't heard of the name before. This is really huge and I need to get to the bottom of it soon. Who knows how they're planning to attack me?
I have to buckle up with the search or else I won't know what's coming in my way.
NIGHT
Casabella’s POV
“Rosy, I am really scared to tell him. Can we keep it a secret for a while?”
“You have to tell him about it now before it’s too late, please. I’m confident he will be happy about it.”
“Are you sure Rosy?”
“I’m totally sure, everything will go smoothly between you two since you both are engaged."
“Okay Rosy. I’ll tell him about it. How did yours go with Alex?"
"I'm going to tell him tonight."
"Alright. Good luck." I said in a whisper and disconnected the call.
After using the restroom, I walked out of the room and met him on the bed waiting for me.
"Come up on the bed, baby." He urged me as I left the door and got on the bed.
"What took you so long in the restroom?"
"Nothing." I lied and got into his embrace.
"Okay, my love. Good night." He uttered and pecked me on my forehead.
"Uhm baby, do you have a minute?"
"Sure, is something wrong?"
"Everything is okay. I just want to tell you something." I begin, still having a second thought either to tell him or not.
"What is it, baby?" He requested.
"It's something I should have told you this morning but I don't know how you're going to take the news."
"What news, my love? Talk to me."
"Well, the thing is that... I'm pregnant." I revealed closing my eyes.
"What did you say?" He enquired.
"I'm pregnant. I know you're not ready to be a father, which I understand pretty much but I have decided to keep the baby."
"What are you talking about, my love? Why would I think of doing such a thing? It's such great news you just gave to me."
"You're not angry I am pregnant?" I asked with my eyes open.
"I'm not angry at all. I'm overwhelmed that I will be a father soon. It's the best news you have ever given me.
"Really? You want the baby?"
"Of course, my love. I'm so happy right now." He chuckled and pulled me closer to his body.
"You know, I was thinking you're going to tell me to abort the pregnancy."
"Shuu... I don't want to ever hear such words from your mouth again. How could I say such things to you when you're the apple of my eye?"
"Really?"
"Yes, my love. You're my heartbeat and my life. My life is incomplete without you."
"I'm really blushing. The praise is just too much to take."
"Take it all in, my love." He uttered and pecked my forehead once more.
Unknown POV
I can't wait to watch that bitch die before my eyes. She was the cause of all my dreams crumbling into pieces.
"We're ready ma'am." One among Ronald's men said.
"Is my luggage in the car?"
"Yes ma'am."
"Okay. I'll be out in a few minutes."
"Okay ma'am." He responded and left.
Few minutes later, Ronald walked down the stairs holding an envelope in his hand.
"What's in that?"I asked.
"It's some bundle of money and the device I told you about."
"Okay but you can trust me on that. I'll make sure I wipe her off Mark's life just like we did to his father."
"That depends on how you don't change your mind and act funny this time around. You were the reason why I didn't kill Mark that night."
"I loved him at that time but not anymore. I won't fail this time around. I'll make sure I kill his sister before I can kill him as well for accepting his father's words."
"We have to clear his family chapter for good so I can focus on finding the secret mafia king."
"I won't let my guard down." I assured him.
"Okay. All the best, my love. Go and make me proud." He caressed my cheeks and kissed me on the lips.
"Bye!" I focused a smile and trooped out of the house.
So disgusting! I wish I could find a way to get off him but it's just too difficult to escape.
After all these years, I haven't forgotten about Mark. I still think of him every single day and still believe he's still single waiting for me to return to him.
I got out of the house and met the group of men protecting me throughout my mission.
Finally, I'll be with Mark once again. I can't wait to see how handsome he has become.
