Chapter 176: Armond

**Avery**

Armond pulls James, Jace, and me aside. What he tells us is insane, but holds an underlying truth that I can’t deny. My heart pounds in my chest, a mix of excitement and apprehension as I process the implications of being a descendant of the Goddess, meant to rule alongside my brother, Sam. The idea of being raised with James, my future husband, in Talos, feels both thrilling and daunting. But it's the mention of Armond being one of my mates that sends a jolt through me, a spark of desire that ignites a fire in my core.

Before I can respond, James steps forward, his green eyes flashing with a mix of emotions. "You expect us to believe this?" he demands, his voice laced with skepticism. "That Avery is destined to rule Altima, and you, Armond, are to be one of her mates?"

Armond meets James's gaze, his expression unreadable. "It is the Goddess's plan, James. I have seen the vision, and it is as clear as the sun in the sky. Avery is the key to our future, and we must embrace our roles in her destiny."

As the weight of Armond's words settles over us, a commotion erupts from the entrance of the cave. My other lovers – Cassius, Clint, Conner, Donn, and Vincent – storm in, their faces contorted with anger and confusion. They must have overheard Armond's revelation, and now they're here to confront him.

"What's the meaning of this?" Cassius snarls, his blue eyes blazing with fury. "Who are you to claim Avery as your mate?"

Clint steps forward, his green eyes piercing as he assesses the situation. "We've been with Avery since the beginning. We've fought alongside her, bled for her. Who are you to come in and claim her as your own?"

Armond raises his hands in a placating gesture, his expression calm. "I mean no disrespect, my friends. I am simply fulfilling my role in the Goddess's plan. Avery is meant to have multiple mates, and I am honored to be one of them."

As the tension escalates, I feel a strange sensation in my abdomen – a fluttering, like the wings of a butterfly. I look down, stunned to see a small baby bump beginning to form. The eggs within me are growing, responding to the intensity of the moment.

The offspring inside me stirs, and a vision flashes before my eyes. I see a future where we stand united, our bonds eternal, the darkness vanquished. The voice of the offspring echoes in my mind: "When the darkness is no more, the bonds will be eternal."

In that moment, I know what I must do. I step forward, placing myself between Armond and my lovers, my hands raised in a gesture of peace. "Enough," I say, my voice steady. "We are all Avery's mates, bound to her by love and destiny. Let us not fight among ourselves, but instead embrace the unity that our offspring desires."

My words seem to calm the tension, and the men exchange uneasy glances. Slowly, they begin to relax, their anger dissipating as they consider my plea.

Donn steps forward, his void eyes meeting mine. "You would have us share you, Avery? To embrace this... unity?"

I nod, my heart swelling with determination. "Yes, Donn. It is the only way. Our love for each other is not diminished by the presence of others. It is strengthened by our willingness to share and support one another."

Vincent's amber eyes flash with a mixture of emotions as he speaks. "And what of our individual desires, Avery? What of our need to possess you, to claim you as our own?"
