Chapter 191: Whispers and Reflection

**Avery**

Returning to Talos was easy. While we were gone, my friends handled everything, and to my surprise, Alden fit right in. I need to have a discussion with him about his life on Altima. Something just feels off. Now returning to the bustling life at school was a jarring transition, but I carried the warmth of the beach within me. There was a new spring in my step, a subtle confidence in my posture. My red hair with blonde highlights seemed to catch the light differently, and my curvy body felt more my own, more powerful. The nightmare still resided in a corner of my mind, a distant echo, but it no longer held the same chilling power. I found myself smiling more, engaging in witty banter with Donn, teasing Clint, and even drawing out Conner's dry humor. James's dominant presence felt even more comforting, and Vincent's stoic gaze now held a deeper, shared understanding. I was the same Avery, but a new, more vibrant layer had been added.

A few weeks later, with the next break approaching, I found myself dragged by my friends, Trisha, Rory, and a vivacious trio of fellow students, always up for a shopping spree to a boutique specializing in beachwear. As I slipped into a daring, emerald green bikini, I paused, surprised by my reflection. My curves, once a source of mild self-consciousness, now seemed to ripple with a newfound power, a testament to the pleasure my body had experienced. I looked… radiant. My friends, meanwhile, were a flurry of excited whispers. "Avery, you simply glow!" Trisha exclaimed.

"And speaking of glow," another leaned in conspiratorially, "Is it true what they say about the Trio? That they… You know… all at once?" My breath hitched. My cheeks flushed, a mix of embarrassment, but also a thrilling jolt of memory. The sheer audacity, the impossible pleasure of that moment. A shiver ran down my spine – both anticipation for the next time, and a flicker of the old fear, a momentary apprehension at the overwhelming intensity.

I looked at the girl. Rory and Trisha stood beside me. “What I do with my mates is my business. When, make that if, you find a mate, then I guarantee you won’t be so curious about what other women do with their partners. Having a mate changes everything.” It does…it truly does!

Later that day, I  found myself recounting the bikini shopping anecdote, particularly the "all at once" gossip, to my mates. Clint, predictably, let out a low, appreciative whistle, his kinky charm shining through. "Well, darling, we do aim to please. And to be efficient, of course."

Cassius flexed a bicep, a proud smirk on his face. "Only for you, Red."

Conner, with a dry wit, simply raised an eyebrow. "One might say we're quite… coordinated."

James chuckled, a deep, rumbling sound. "It's a rare talent, sweetheart. Trust me."

Vincent's eyes held a dark, knowing glint. Donn, with his usual brazenness, simply winked. "They're just jealous, love. We're a well-oiled machine." I laughed, the last vestiges of fear dissolving into pure, exhilarating anticipation. The next beach trip wouldn't just be an escape; it would be a celebration.
