Chapter 92: She Who Wears The Crown
**Jessica**
I had just neared the end of my acceptance speech and they were going to place the crown on my head when the gym doors disintegrated. The music stopped and the spotlight showed where the doors once stood. Three large ravens flew through the opening and began circling overhead. Miss Alman screamed and then mumbled, “Prophet!, thing of evil! – prophet still, if bird or devil! Quoth the raven, never-more,” as she began to sob loudly and uncontrollably.
Draven lept from the stage. “Where do you think you are going?”
He says over his shoulder, “I know what you and your girls did. Now you will atone for it all.” Just what the hell does he mean by that? No one knows what we did before getting dressed for prom. The only one that does is Tim and he's likely dead. The ravens began diving down at me, Heidi, and Lenore. They forced me from the stage and to a fountain in the center of the dancefloor. What is going on?
**Draven**
I left Jessica and approached the exit. I stopped when I saw motion in the shadows. Out of the darkness, Avery emerged with the Trio and Tim flanking her. The spotlight hit her and made her glow like an angel. Her hair fanned out and billowed in an imaginary breeze. Her dress sparkled like an endless sky. She looked like The Goddess herself.
“Bow!” Avery bellowed in a mix of her and Regina’s dominant voice.
Lenore screamed, “No! You're dead! Why aren't you dead?” she fought against Avery’s command but only succeeded in falling flat on her face. “You will pay for that,” she yelled furiously.
Avery laughed as the Ravens shifted. Donn snapped his fingers and their coins appeared. He held them out to Avery as he bowed. She smirked before she turned to address the crowd. “You all may rise except for Jessica, Lenore, and Heidi. You all will remain on your knees until you draw your last breath.” Avery pushed Regina forward so that everyone could have a glimpse of her before she waved her hand causing my glamour to vanish. Everyone gasped.
Avery laughed. “Everyone meet Draven from Blackbriar.” Cassius pulled the two Dragon Blades from behind his back as Avery continued to speak, “Draven helped us find these and led us to the women who used them to try and kill me and Cassius.”
“Why won't you just stay fucking dead?” Jessica yelled.
“She can't do shit to us anyways. It is her word versus ours,” Lenore sneers.
Tim steps forward. “It isn't just Avery’s word against yours. It is all of ours.”
Jessica glares at Tim, “You are her pathetic friend that we took from the mall. Your dragon is weak and has no authority here.” I hold back a chuckle because I can't wait for what happens next. These power-hungry greedy bitches are about to learn a valuable lesson. You should never judge someone unless you know them. It is true that the meak shall inherit the earth because the Goddess designed it that way. Tim laughs as he holds up Avery’s left hand. The light bounces off of her Dragonheart ring, sending beams of colored light in all directions. Everyone gasps and some teachers and students reverently fall to their knees.
Tim pulls his phone out after he dropped Avery’s hand. He typed a few words before he turned his phone toward the crowd. Those who were still standing fell to their knees when they saw the image of the King Of Kings on Tim’s screen. The cold stern commanding voice of King James Balans, King of Talos and King Of Kings, echoed throughout the still gymnasium. “My Beta, Tim Balans, will act on my behest. Talos will aid Naga’s Queen with whatever she may desire.” He vanished from the screen and Tim pocketed his phone.
“Jessica and Lenore used Heidi to distract me so that they could drug me and my dragon. Then they kidnapped me and took me to an abandoned asylum. They cut me with a poisoned Dragon Blade so that they could use me as bait to lure Avery there so that they could kill her. I died, but Avery and her dragon saved my dragon while The Trio saved me. My vote is death to Jessica, Lenore, and Heidi by any means that Queen Avery and her Kings see fit.” Tim took his place behind Avery.
“Not that my opinion holds any weight because I am an outsider here, but the atrocities that these women have committed are why The Ravens are here. Death is here and anyone who stands in their way will die tonight too.” That needed to be said because after tonight if there are any more rats in Naga they will be revealed.
Donn says, “Draven gave each one of these women one of our coins and they were told to make a wish. Their wishes will seal their fate. Miss Avery, your wrath will determine if that fated end is swift or prolonged. Choose which woman you want to sentence first and then choose her fate as you toss the coin into the fountain.”
Avery chews on her bottom lip and I have to keep from tapping her to get her to stop before she either ruins her lipstick or ends up igniting her mates’ lust. I can't wait until I find a mate that drives me wild. After a few moments, Avery’s fingers dance over the coins. She picks one up and the gold gleams in the light. She tosses it into the fountain as it floats before slowly sinking she says, “Heidi will be the first to die. I want the others to see and feel it so that they will beg for death as they have made me do.”
When she finished speaking, the water in the fountain became otherworldly still. Soon a full sensory vision began to play like a movie on its mirrored surface. We are all about to see how Heidi will die before the Ravens take her soul and Avery ends her dragon’s.
