Chapter 79: The Other Side

**Avery**

Once we were out of the In-Between, that odd feeling evaporated quicker than dew on a hot summer’s morning. We must be getting closer to our destination because I can feel both their nervousness and excitement. Why are they agitated? This day was their idea. I will never understand guys.

Clint put his hands over my eyes. “Close your eyes and keep them closed,” he ordered.

“Avery, open up the glove compartment, but no peeking!” Conner said. I did as instructed. “Good girl, now feel for the silk necktie. That is it. Pull it out and close the glove box. Now hold up the tie.” As I did so, Clint grabbed the tie from me and secured it over my eyes.

I sighed. “Is this necessary?” They both answered that it was. I was not left sitting in the dark for long before I felt the car come to a stop and my door opened. I was scooped up. I recognized both the feel of his strong arms and his scent instantly. “Cassius.”

He chuckles, “Yes, little mate. I missed you, but I smell that you could not wait for me to be able to join you.”

“I…I,” I stammered, not knowing what to say or if I should apologize.

Cassius kissed me as he carried me. “Avery, we all feel that pull. It grows stronger, not just by the day but by the minute we spend with you. Besides, your detour gave me time to make sure everything was perfect.”

Perfect? Nothing is perfect, but how I feel right now is damn close. He sat me down and I felt a slight swaying. When he removed my makeshift blindfold, I was overwhelmed by what I saw. I am standing on the deck of a gigantic yacht that must be close to two hundred feet in length or more. It has a sleek profile giving it a very modern aesthetic. The spacious deck has a pool and hot tub, ample seating, a dining area, and lots of open space. Above me is even more space housing air-conditioned rooms and a kitchen. Cassius takes my hand and leads me to what they call the flybridge. It is covered with my favorite flowers. I bend down and grabbed a jasmine flower. I put it in my hair, but when I turn around my jaw drops to the petal-covered teak floor.

My mates are each down on one knee. Cassius is holding a ring in his hand which he takes apart and hands a piece to each of his brothers. I stare with my hands over my mouth. Conner chuckles as he reaches up and takes my left hand in his. “The inscription says ‘I love you today’ and has both my name and Caleb’s on it. Avery, we love both you and Regina today and forevermore. Will you marry us?”

“Yes,” I replied as my heart raced and my body trembled. Conner stood up and kissed me passionately before he turned me to face Clint who took my left hand into his.

“Avery, you and Regina have changed my world. You both are the only females who I will ever want today and tomorrow as well as all of the tomorrows that have yet to come. This ring is inscribed with ‘I will love you tomorrow’ and it has both mine and Carter’s names on it. So Avery, will you wear our ring and marry us?”

I watched the diamond in the ring shine a myriad of colors. Tears of joy began to leak from my eyes. “Yes, yes I will,” I replied. Clint pulled me down to him and kissed me as he slid the ring onto my finger. As he stood, he helped me to my feet and positioned me in front of Cassius.

A tear ran down his cheek as he took my left hand. “Avery, I know that perfect doesn't exist, but when I am with you my life is perfect. Asher and I love you not just with our hearts but with our souls. The inscription on this ring says ‘I will love you always’ and it has both of our names on it because Asher and I will love you for an eternity. Avery, will you marry us?”

Tears streamed down my face. “Yes, an eternity of yeses!” He slid the ring onto my finger. When it made contact with the other rings, I felt a jolt. Visions of a wonderful future flooded my mind. I couldn't make them all out but the immense feelings of joy and contentment were nearly unbearable. Cassius threw me into the air and caught me as I fell. His lips claimed mine in a time-stopping kiss.

When he sat me down, my other fiancés crowded around me. They each took turns kissing me. This was the perfect moment! Cassius scooped me up again and carried me to the front of the boat. He sat me down. As I looked around, he and his brothers took off their clothes. Cassius gazed at me with a naughty glint in his eyes. “Strip,” he commanded. Instinctually, I reached for the hem of my dress and pulled it over my head. I dropped it on the deck. Cassius raises an eyebrow and I see Asher staring back at me. He growls, “Strip!” When I don't instantly comply, he extends a talon and shreds my bra and underwear. I gasp before he picks me up and leaps into the water. Fuck! I hope that I remember what he taught me that day on the beach. Since I have bonded with Regina and marked my mates, my life has kept getting better and better. But something is coming, however, I can forget about it for a day and enjoy skinny-dipping with my mates and future husbands.
