CHAPTER 16

“It’s truly saddening. The girl that I know has similarities with you Darcie which is why I agreed to let you know about her but I will have to ask her whether it will be fine for her to meet you or not. She grew up in a loving family with parents who raised and loved her like their own. To suddenly have her biological parents come into her life all of a sudden will be quite challenging,” Keaton spoke as he drank his wine slowly.
“So, what should we do?” Darcie asked anxiously.
“I will help you, which is why I am here and there is another thing that you should know. If that girl is really your child, then we will be in laws in the future,” Keaton smiled at Jackson and gave him a wink.
Now he knew the reason why he didn’t feel good when he saw Keaton in this room. Keaton didn’t show any interest in anyone apart from that little fiancé of his and now that fiancé turns out to be his own kid. Jackson glared angrily at Keaton but Keaton just shrugged.
“What is he talking about?” Darcie asked as he looked anxiously at Jackson.
“If the girl is our daughter, then it means that she is the current fiancé of Keaton,” Jackson answered with gritted teeth and this time it was Darcie’s turn to glare angrily at Keaton.
“There is nothing that I can do about it. To be honest I don’t give a shit that you are her biological parents but she should know the truth at least that she was abandoned. I vowed that nothing will stop me to be with her and that includes you both and your families. So, don’t even try to think of something!” Keaton gave a stern warning, so what if they were her parents?
“You……”
“I will advise you to keep your cool, your daughter is even worse than me. You may not have been present because of some circumstances but if you had solved your problems before then she would have not suffered the way she did. Do you know that at her age her body is covered in scars she got as a fucking kid?
At the time she needed her parents the most she was with that lunatic who abused her to the fullest and you weren’t there. The people who brought that child into the light was the Heartily’s so don’t try to use your influences of your families on them. I will personally deal with you,” Keaton spoke angrily.
“What-what did you just say? You mean that she-she beat our child?” Darcie was very teary as she asked.
Her poor child truly suffered; she didn’t know how she will make it up to her. She was already grown up. A child she holds just once was already getting married and he may not get fond of her. How can she not be devasted?
Darcie knew that her child was a bit special when she gave birth to her. There was the dark aura around her which scared her at that time, she just didn’t know whether she got rid of it or made use of it.
“Calm down Darcie. We will meet her soon,” Jackson calmed his woman down and turned to Keaton, “we will discuss more later but for now can you please let us meet her?”
Jackson knew well about Keaton’s character, he sounded angry and the anger was mostly directed towards them and he knows why he did it. They were truly careless and let the lunatic separate them for years.
When he couldn’t find Doreen, he thought that she moved on he just didn’t expect that she cooped herself in a small town living under a false identity with their child and no one even knew about. She died in a fire and a month later a child was found in a park by herself and taken to the police who later sent there to the orphanage where she lived for a year before getting adopted.
No one knew the background of the child but after she saw the picture of her child, she knew immediately that it was her.
How can her child fall in love with a man who is twice her age? Just what is wrong with her? She had so much to reprimand her on but she came too late. It will be a miracle if she just forgives the two of them and give them a chance to explain themselves.
After talking for more twenty minutes, Keaton promised them that they will see her later that night at his penthouse after he brings her from school.
Keaton drove to Encha’s school and have her take off the afternoon off. He needed to give her time to adjust and make sure that she doesn’t explode at the time.
“Why are you here so early?” Encha asked with a worried look on her face.
She could tell that something was wrong with him. He looked gloomy and angry at the same time.
“Who made you so angry? Tell me and I will go and deal with him.”
Looking at her puffed face he couldn’t help but put a smile on his face. He wondered if she will be like this even after she hears about what he has to say.
“Let’s go to my place first and I will tell you all about it,” Keaton said as he patted her hand.
Encha didn’t argue but changed the topic while he drove them to the penthouse. When they arrived, he made her something to eat first before he had her sit on his lap.
Encha hooked her arms around his neck and looked deeply in his eyes.
“If you don’t spill the beans, I am going to do something!” she threatened him as she moved carelessly on his lap.
He had not been intimate, with her for a while and she was busy thinking of seducing him to surrender, what a little vixen?
“I just found your biological parents,” he said as he looked for her response but what he saw made him laugh.
Encha just responded as if she heard something normal and none of her concern.
“Aren’t you curious about them?”
“Even if I am, they don’t concern me at all. I lived my whole life without them. Why should they pop up now after all these years?” he could hear hidden anger in those words. She was probably doing her best to keep her anger in check.
“They had special circumstances which is it took them so long. Your dad is a friend of mine, I have known him for years and he is a good person. He has two children, a girl and a boy but he is divorced with his wife….” Keaton began to tell Encha about her parents but it looked like it was coming in and just leaving but he knew that she heard every single word that he said.
