CHAPTER 41

With their daughter married and safe in the hands of Keaton, it was time for Jackson and Darcie to clear out a lot of misunderstandings.
So, Jackson who was dying to get his woman back took Darcie for a vacation to an island where his family own a resort. Darcie was happy to go for a vacation as she had been in a comma for a lot of years and when she was back on her feet, she had to go around vying for her daughter’s attention.
Now that her relationship was stable with Encha she didn’t mind having some alone time with Jackson. A lot of years may have passed and a lot of things may have happened but her feelings for Jackson were still the same.
Darcie was hurt when she knew that Jackson married three years after she fell into a comma and even conceived children with Amanda. But when she learnt that he was always looking for her all these years and didn’t stop, she melted and forgave him.
She knew what it was like to be imprisoned by your own family. This was the same reason why she eloped and began to roam around the kingdom and met him.
Jackson was no longer married to Amanda but was divorced. Amanda even has a lover which means that she didn’t harbor any feelings for him anymore, so she will not feel bad if she takes her man back.
Jackson and Darcie took a family suite with two bedrooms. This was arranged by Jackson since he didn’t want Darcie to think bad about him. He had missed her a lot but he didn’t want to let her think that he wanted sex from her.
Darcie was a bit disappointed with the arrangement but felt warm in her heart. He wasn’t trying to take advantage of her which was good.
The two were going to be in the resort for about a week and Jackson was betting everything on these days so that he may get his woman as soon as possible.
After two days of playing around and touring the island, Darcie was in a jovial mood.
On that night the two were seated in the sitting room where they were watching a movie on the TV. At that time her phone rang and she unlocked her phone and open her messages.
She smiled as she looked at what had been sent on her phone.
“What is it?” Jackson asked after seeing how radiant she looked.
“She looks happy in these pictures, she is having a great time,” Darcie answered as she showed Jackson the pictures that Encha had sent to her.
“I can’t believe that this friend of mine can be happy like this.”
“You should be happy that he is like this with Encha, what if he was like this with other women?”
“I will hack him into pieces.”
The two laughed as they talked about their daughter and son in law.
“It’s time that we talk about us D. I want us to get back together, it is not because of our child but because I have never stopped loving you. I want us to be a family again. These past years I worked hard until I reached the place, I am today so that one day I will be able to hold you openly in my arms. D, I have given you a lot of time to think about it. What is your answer?”
Darcie looked at Jackson who was gazing deep into her soul as he spoke those sweet words to her. She was aware that this topic will come up one day but she never expected that it will come up this day. She thought that he will delay a bit but she was happy that he did.
She wasn’t young anymore and she had already lost so many years and she wanted to make every day counts.
Jackson looked at Darcie with his eyes full of anticipation and Darcie didn’t find any strength to reject him. She didn’t feel good with answering him with words so she pressed her soft lips against his making Jackson to smile brightly.
Jackson was so happy that he sucked on those lips before prying in her mouth and took her tongue with his. Darcie melted as Jackson kissed her in a passionate way. How long has it been since she was intimate like this?
She hooked her arms around his neck and he carried her to one of the bedrooms where the two reminisce of the things that they had missed. The two explored each other and only stopped in the morning when they were both exhausted.
With the two of them back together, their hearts were both at ease, the only thing that remained was to get married but the two didn’t want to steal the limelight of their daughter so they decided to get a marriage certificate and hold a private wedding.
Jackson told his family about this good news, by now it was known that Amanda and Jackson were already divorced so this news wasn’t that shocking anymore.
Amanda felt relieved to hear this news as she could openly be with her husband. Yes, Amanda secretly married her lover about a year ago. Why should she forgo her happiness for a man who didn’t love her? She did her duty as a wife and a daughter, now it was time for her to put her needs as a woman.
So, with this great news she quickly told her husband who also felt at peace with everything coming to an end. The couple enjoyed their time together that one week and the news was also passed to Enchantia who felt happy for her biological parents. As long as they want to be together then it was their own business.
She didn’t want them to be together for the sake of her, she wanted them to follow their own hearts. The two registered their marriage after returning back and the two families had dinner together, as for the wedding they decided to do it later after everything has settled down.
With him by her side she felt that her life was now complete and she didn’t need to worry about anything else again.
Since she was married to the man, she fell for at first sight, Darcie moved in with him after the villa got renovated. As for the children they lived with the couple since Darcie was fond of children.
The kids didn’t mind too as they can see their dad and their mother when she visits. Amanda thought that it will be the best for the children to be with their dad as he can give them more than she can.
When Encha and Keaton returned, they gave their congratulations and distributed the gifts they bought from their travels.
