CHAPTER 18
She saw how that fire popped up in her hand from nowhere, she had heard of the people capable of doing this and in her family centuries ago someone was also capable of doing that but in order to maintain the family name the woman was burnt on a pyre.
Yes, that woman and ancestor was a witch. This was a story that she heard from one of the elders and something usually not spoken about. To think that her daughter carried the blood of a witch shook her to the core. She didn’t know what to do.
Darcie’s tears began to fall down her cheeks and she broke.
“This is impossible! No, no, no this can’t be happening to me!” Darcie was all out and Enchantia gave her and Jackson a chilling stare before she threw the sofa cushions using her telekinesis over the room.
Jackson seeing this ability of his daughter was truly speechless and scared. He still remembers when Keaton was talking about how his little fiancé will set him on fire if he plays around, he now understood what he meant.
His little girl was special and Darcie’s reaction made things worse.
“Take her out and leave before she does something worse!” Keaton kicked Jackson and his woman out.
He didn’t care anymore, instead of her to be happy she just had to show that kind of response towards her. This was suicide.
Jackson picked Darcie and took her to the car.
“I need to see my child, please let me see her. I need to bring her away and protect her!” she was now delirious but Jackson drove the car away.
He stopped by the road side and looked at Darcie who now have calmed down.
“What’s going on Darcie?”
“She is a witch Jackson, our daughter. What are we going to do?”
“What are you talking about?”
“What if they kill her? I don’t want anything to happen to her,” Darcie cried as she held onto Jackson’s sleeve.
Jackson let Darcie explain her story and after listening to it he became worried. If things were like that then Encha will be in trouble. He would not let anyone harm his child.
“We can’t bring her away; she will hate us. She will not even let us. You went overboard and I don’t think we will see her again. We need to think of how we can solve that problem first.”
She had forgotten about how she reacted before. She had seen the fury in those eyes and she began to cry hard again.
She really regretted reacting that way. How she wishes she could turn back time and tell her daughter that she didn’t see her as a freak.
“What do you think about our daughter?” Darcie finally asked Jackson.
“She is a strong person; we don’t need to worry about her. We just need to pray that she will let us see again.”
“You don’t mind that she is different?”
“She was able to survive because of that; we should cherish her instead and prove to her that we care for her and love her.”
The two spoke for a while before returning, they needed to do many thigs including doing the DNA test and finding ways of making the girl forgive them and give them a chance.
Enchantia finally broke down and cried after those two left the penthouse. She had damaged a lot of things in the penthouse and Keaton let her be.
He understands why she showed them her powers, she wanted them to know what exactly their daughter was and yet their reaction broke her down.
“I am sorry dear; I shouldn’t have brought them here. If I had known I would…...”
“Please, make this pain go away. I beg of you,” Enchantia was busy scratching herself and blood began to show on the scratches.
He held her hands and he kissed her soft lips making her distracted from everything. It wasn’t time to talk much because Encha became proactive and returned his kisses.
This action led to another round of love making which tired her out and she fell asleep. Keaton made a call to the Heartily’s and told them that she was with him and he will bring her the next day. Since they now knew where their child was, they were relived and let the other man take care of their child.
Enchantia slept and woke up in the middle of the night and began to cry. Keaton hugged her tightly and began to coax her again. Enchantia felt like she could trust him with anything. She had already shown him most of her bad side then adding one wouldn’t be that surprising right?
“I need to tell you something about my childhood but promise me that you will not judge me or leave me.”
“I fell in love with you despite your hedonistic ways. What makes you think that I will leave you for something you did when you were a child? Nothing will make me leave you even if I die by your hand, my love,” Keaton spoke softly which touched the depths of her heart.
She cried and hugged him closely. Feeling his heartbeat made her feel at ease.
MANY YEARS AGO
Enchantia wasn’t named Enchantia when she was a kid, she didn’t have any name and that woman called her all kinds of names that she got used to it. She simply thought that it was normal after all she had never met any other child apart from herself.
Enchantia grew up living in a twenty square meters’ room with a thin mattress and some old sheets that didn’t provide any warmth. She grew up cold, starved and used that she began to think that it was normal.
She was just two years old when she began to do chores for that woman. She would command her to clean up the house, wash the dishes and watch her eat while she was starving.
