CHAPTER 28
Enchantia got into the car and saw another woman who looked like her biological mother and she guessed that this was the grandmother. She looks lovely than her own mother. She had a good impression of the old lady and didn’t find her annoying.
“You must be Enchantia, you can call me Aya,” the old lady spoke emotionally and she was touched.
She knew that the old lady was dying for her to call her grandmother but she was being cautious, after all she didn’t even call her own biological mother mom.
“Grandma, it’s nice to meet you,” Enchantia said with a smile which made Aya to tear up.
“Good child, you have suffered,” Aya hugged her as she cried.
To think that she will be suffering like this every time she meets one of the relatives, she was going to go crazy by the time it was done. Enchantia didn’t even give her mother face as she still harbors resentment for what she did that day when they met.
Darcie who was being ignored felt sour but she regained her energy as she thought that since she could accept her mother then as long as she behaves well then, her daughter will forgive her and accept her.
Darcie drove to the villa that they were currently living in and Aya led Enchantia inside and gave her a seat. Some snacks and beverages were given to her before the three of them sat together.
“I wanted to apologize for the way I reacted last time but you have to listen to me, it’s not that I was disgusted by you or something but I was afraid that something bad may happen to you once the clan knows.”
“What exactly are you trying to say?” Enchantia’s interest was now piqued, if there is something that she loves, it is mysteries and this family was full of mysteries, she couldn’t help but be curious.
“It’s like this….”
Darcie began to narrate what the grand elder told her that night and even Aya was surprised by the news but she felt relieved that her granddaughter will not suffer that fate as all this was a ruse made by the enemy that got dealt with.
After listening to Darcie, Encha felt a bit embarrassed by her behaviors, she had truly wronged Darcie but it was already too late to cry over spilt milk.
“I am sorry that I couldn’t explain that day. I was just overwhelmed with shock and made you misunderstand,” Darcie apologized while tears streamed down her cheeks.
Enchantia could only leave her sofa and hugged the poor woman who trembled heavily as she poured all her sorrows.
“It’s been hard on you,” Enchantia said as she patted Darcie’s back.
Aya watched with teary eyes as the pair of mother and daughter reconciled in such a warming manner.
“I never meant for this to happen. All I am asking for is a chance to get to know you, I don’t care for anything else.”
Hearing this Enchantia’s impression of Darcie increased, she hated being forced more than anything. Even if this person was her biological mother, she was not in any mood to just go with them wherever they wanted her to be and act like everything is fine.
“I will give you that chance but I should make something clear, before you appeared, I have parents that love me and took care of me while you and Jackson were out of the picture.
I will try my best to accept this new development but you have to meet my family first and don’t even utter this witch bullshit to them or I swear I will go crazy on you,” Enchantia firmly spoke and didn’t care about how they will view this threat of hers.
To her surprise both mother and daughter agreed and didn’t show any contempt which made her smile.
“Just leave everything to us and we will follow the book.”
“I have something that the ancestor would love you to have,” Darcie said before she excused herself and disappeared for a while.
While she was out Encha spoke about life with Aya which was more of her and Keaton and she didn’t mind showing off which made Aya to laugh and smile. It was good to see that her granddaughter wasn’t suffering.
When Darcie returned, she was welcomed by the two laughing at the joke that Encha had just spoken, Darcie joined in and the atmosphere was good for two more minutes.
Darcie finally gave the chest to Encha who took it and opened it right there. It was the first time that the chest was opened, even the clan members didn’t know what was in the chest.
Encha looked at the books with great interest and went through the books one after another. By the time she was done she looked gratefully at the two.
“These books are quite good and they will be truly helpful. I will be taking these with me and as a thank you for everything, I will give you my number and you can call me anytime as long as it before eleven,” Enchantia gracefully gave away her number.
Darcie was so happy to receive this string of numbers; nothing will be this priceless than to receive acceptance from her daughter. Aya was happy to see this improvement, soon she will be hearing Encha calling her name or something similar to that.
Darcie sent Encha back to her home and returned to the villa after making sure that Encha got inside the house. She called Jackson to give him the good news and agreed to meet so that they may discuss on when they will meet the Heartily’s.
Darcie even thanked Keaton and gave him a summary of how things went. Keaton was happy for her and Enchantia and decided to leave things in their hands. For now, he will just follow what the little girl, his wife wants and go from there.
