Chapter 19.
Estela’s POV.

I run in to the bathroom just making it in time before hurling again. Collin comes in rubbing my back as I continue to dry heave contemplating my death.
“I think it’s time to see the pack doctor.” Collin says and I nod slowly trying to stop my stomach from doing back flips. I sit on the bathroom floor as Collin takes a phone call in the bedroom, I wait for my stomach to settle while my body temperature comes back down.

Standing up and wash my face in the sink realizing how tired I look, all I’ve done for 2 weeks is puke I can barley eat because of how sick I am and my body’s starting to show it.
“I need to meet with another Alpha, Steele is on her way up to take you to Doctor Marlowe.” He says and I nod taking small sips from my water.

He kisses my forehead and turns to leave pausing at the door.
“I love you.” He says sweetly as I nod.
“You too.” I manage to say. I stand in front of the mirror concentrating on my breathing trying to get my body to chill out. Out of no where my body begins to shake and I struggle to hold myself up, I hear a knock at the door but before I can say anything I land on the floor and my mind goes black.

Blinking my eyes aggressively I realize there’s bright lights above me causing my sight to blur.
“Don’t move, you’re ok just rest.” I here Collin say as I let my eyes fall again.
“Where am I?” I say and my voice cracks, my mouth is dry and it’s hard to breath.
“You passed out, Steele walked in cuz she heard you fall. She found you in the bathroom unconscious, she mind linked me and the pack doctor. Then brought you here not knowing what happened or what to tell the doctor.” He says calmly.

“What’s wrong with me?” I struggle to say as Collin hands me water.
“You collapsed, Estella.” He pauses. “It turns out you’re pregnant.” He states with a huge smile crosses his face and I almost choke on my water.
“I’m what!” I say loudly as my muscles tighten in shock.
“The doctor is trying to find out why you collapsed and why you’ve been so sick. There’s not a lot of reports on fairy/wolf mates so she’s not sure how this should go, it’s not a normal pregnancy she’s dealt with.” I slowly nod trying not to cry.

“Oh Estella it will be ok.” Collin says pulling me to his chest.
“You’re only about 6 weeks along.” He states.
“The doctor should be back soon with more information.” He says and we lay together in my hospital bed as I drift in and out, the door opens and Doctor Marlowe walks in with her clip board startling me.

“Hello Luna good to see you awake.” She says softly.
“It seems your pregnancy is causing some issues due to your genetics, I have some supplements that will help a bit, but the baby is demanding a lot from your body and I’m not to sure why but I have multiple doctors researching trying to find reports of your case. But I think you should speak with the fae, they might have some answers.” She looks at Collin before continuing.
“Until we know what’s going on it’s best for Luna to be on bed rest just in case.” She finishes as Collin nods.

I turn to him and he looks down at me with such love and fear. Why is this happening I think to myself, we should have been more careful. God why was I so dumb. I start to cry as he presses his lips to mine kissing me deeply. I pull away.
“What do we do now?” I ask putting my head in my hands.
“Well we will meet with the fae and see what they know, we will get the medication the doctor has for your nausea and the supplements and you will stay on bed rest and either Steele or I will be with you at all times.” He states.
“What about the rogues?” I ask.

“Don’t worry about it.” He says softly.
“I’ll handle the rogues later right now we will handle this, Steele is going to take you home, I’m going to Speak with Enzo to make sure he’s ready to act for the pack for the next little bit. I need to call are neighbouring Alpha and ask him to up his protection as well as ours.” He says and I slowly nod against his chest.

Steele walks in as Collin is standing up to go make his call.
“Hey! How are you feeling?” She asks me walking up to my bed.
“I’m alright.” I say with a small smile.
“I’m pregnant.” She smiles back happily as tears still fall down my face.
“I know Luna, congratulations.” She says bowing her head.
“I’m really happy for you!” She says hugging me tightly.

“Are you ready to go home?” She asks pulling a wheel chair around from the corner of the room, I slowly nod taking in the information I’ve just been given.
I’m going to have a baby, I smile to myself. I promise, I will never leave you little bean. I will always protect you, forever and always. I think to myself as my hand gently rests on my lower belly.

Steele and I get to the pack house and she helps me up the stairs to mine and Collin’s room. She gently helps me in to bed as she lays on Collins side.
“So a baby huh?” She smiles looking over at me.
“I guess so.” I giggle softly taking a deep breath.
“Was it planned? Like have you guys talked about starting a family?” She asks all giddy.

“No, we didn’t plan it, we haven’t even really had time to think about starting a family with all the rogue stuff going on.” I say looking down to my hands.
“Well I’m sure everything will be fine.” She says.
“Alpha will handle the rogues and you just need to rest, well and focus on growing an arm or something.” She says laughing making me smile.

“Have you and Enzo talked about kids?” I ask looking up at her.
“We’ve talked about it.” she says playing with her fingers.
“We just don’t think we’re ready for pups yet, I mean I didn’t even have parents I was raised by the pack. I don’t even think I’d know how to be a mother.” She says as she covers her mouth and her eyes go wide.
“I’m sorry” she says quietly.

“It’s ok.” I respond. “That’s exactly how I’m feeling. I was raised in a big home with a bunch of other kids all we had was the head mistress, I didn’t even know my mother was a fairy.” I say shrugging. We lay in silence for a few minutes before the door opens and Collin walks in as Steele sits up in one quick motion.
“Well I should be going.” She says as she moves towards the door.
“Good night Alpha, I hope you feel better Luna.” She says to each of us as she slips out the door.

“How are you feeling?” Collin asks me.
“I’m ok.” I answer back in a low voice.
“How did your talk go with Enzo and the other Alpha’s?” I ask softly as he climbs in to bed.
“Well, Alpha Liam is going to up the guards to both our packs while we are away, Enzo knows how to handle everything in the pack and so does Steele, Enzo will remain in contact with me and Alpha Liam both of them know what we are doing in Clove County and understand how important it is for me to step away for a few days so they have assured me they will handle everything here while we’re gone.” He says softly.

“Right now you just need to eat, a cook is bringing a plate up, when you’re done you will sleep while I pack. We leave in the morning, the fairy Queen is expecting us.” He says and I nod, a few minutes later a knock at the door and Collin comes back with a big plate of green Beans, steak and potatoes. My mouth waters as he hands it to me along with a handful of supplements and nausea medication. I manage to eat half the plate and keep it down before exhaustion hits me and all I want is sleep, as my mind wonders through all of the information I’ve gotten today. I listen to Collin walk around the room packing our bags until my mind is finally blank and I fall in to a dark slumber.
