Chapter 36.
Chapter 36.
Estella’s POV.
Collin wants to build a new school on the new pack lands, and honestly I think it’s an amazing idea. Our school has been needing an update and we’ve been talking about fixing it up, now that we have a daughter we should start adding more stuff for the children, maybe a swimming pool and kids library, there’s so much we can do.
After the rogues showed up everything started to calm down, our pack members were great helping out where they can and showing everyone around. The cooks did really good for having to prepare food for so many extra people. It’s truly amazing to see how smoothly everything is going and how well everyone’s getting along.
“Hey how are you holding up?” I ask Amelia noticing she’s been withdrawn and alone since the rogues came.
“I’m ok, just tired. I think I’m going to go see the babies and go to bed soon.” She answers softly as I squeeze her shoulder gently before giving her a nod and she leaves. Steele an Enzo come running up to us excitedly as Collin laughs.
“Woah woah, whats going on guys?” He asks.
“Nothing we were just racing.” They both say in a fit of giggles making me laugh.
“Hey Alpha?” Enzo asks still with a huge smile on his face as Collin nods telling him to continue
“Seeing as the rogues are dealt with can we go on a moon light run?” He says excitedly and if he was in wolf form his tail would be wagging like crazy.
Collin laughs agreeing that it would be a great idea, my heart flutters at their conversation. I’m not pregnant, I can change in to my glimmer and go with them! My eyes light up as Collin looks over to me with confusion.
“Whats up?” He asks as I can’t contain my smiles.
“I can change in to my glimmer and come with you!” I shout louder then intended when he picks me up in a big hug.
He agrees to get everything lined up for tonight as I go to find Loral, walking back to the pack house I breath in deeply, I let the night air fill my lungs while my magic pulls forward. I wave my hands gracefully allowing the wind to play with the leaves on the ground, I get lost in my own world twirling them making them tumble across the stone causing me to giggle when a voice breaks my thoughts.
“Are you having fun?’ Loral asks startling me as I nod happily in response.
“You’re feeling better? It doesn’t hurt to use your magic?” She says firmly and I shake my head, I pull my hands up raising the little leaves so they now float around us like little bubbles drifting in the wind.
“I was just coming to find you.” I say softly not looking away from what I’m doing.
“Well here I am dear, what do you need?” Her voice flows softly as I smile and happiness fills my body making me feel complete.
“I want you to teach me about my glimmer.” I say calmly while I finally drop the leaves and we walk inside.
We go down in to the spell room to practice as Clover comes running down the stairs to join us.
“I hear you’re doing the moon light run tonight, can I come? I think my mate is in the pack some where, I’ve been getting faint smells off and on since the new pack showed up.” She says jumping up and down making Loral and I laugh along with her.
“Of coarse you can come!” I answer grabbing her arm.
Loral and Clover spend the next hour explaining how our glimmers work and how to change in to mine. They both show me a few times step by step on how to concentrate and focus my magic to do what I want.
“Ok I think I’m ready to try.” I say as Clover changes in to her glimmer quickly and loral steps aside to watch.
I close my eyes and feel my magic flow through my body, I allow it to cover every inch of me as my skin tingles, once I’m fully engulfed in my magic I start to compress it. I picture it getting smaller forcing me smaller with it, I feel a sharp burn across my back and when I open my eyes small sparkles fill the air around me. I take a few steps forward to look around when Clover lands right beside me.
“You did it!” She yells in a tiny squeaky little voice as I look around our now gigantic spell room at everything. Everything is so big, I look around in amazement as Loral steps in front of me her huge body rumbling the ground making my heart pound. Within seconds she has changed in to her small glimmer joining Clover and I as I turn and something catches my eye.
Sparkly iridescent wings sit just behind my shoulders shocking me as I realize, I completely forgot I would have wings. I look at them focusing my magic through them as I launch myself in to the air with a scream.
“Holy ok, well that will take some getting used to.” I say laughing as I land on the ground.
Loral helps me control my wings a bit better by showing me how to disperse my magic through them evenly so I’m not throwing myself off. After a while I start to get the hang of it and I can flutter around just like Clover and it feels so freeing. We play with each other diving in the air as we fly around chasing one another till we both land completely out of breath, I change back still laying on the floor as my human body burns making me cringe.
“That will stop, it’s your first change so it hurts, we normally change as children so we don’t remember the pain and by they time we’re old enough to remember it doesn’t hurt any more.” Loral says while helping me up.
“All of my muscles feel like their peeling off my bones.” I answer rubbing my arms as Loral nods laughing.
Clover and I leave to meet the rest of the pack just before dark, torches are lit in the meeting area and my heart throbs when I see Collin. Wolves lay in the grass or pace around waiting for everyone to join before we start, I run up to Collin wrapping my legs around him as I jump in his arms planting a huge kiss on his lips.
He places me back down as Clovers eyes dart around.
“He’s here.” She says softly as her nose is pinned up in the air sniffing hard trying to pick up the scent of her mate. I turn to Collin as he watches everyone attentively.
“I’m glad you could all join us tonight for the moon light run, normally we do this a few times a month but due to recent events we haven’t been able to participate. Tonight that changes! We are bringing back the moonlight run and I hope you all continue to join us, allow your wolf to run free with the pack.” He states as my body ignites listening to his voice boom over the crowd.
“We will run the perimeter of the pack and meet back here, be safe and have fun!” He finishes as he shifts quickly, stomping both paws on the ground with a loud howl commanding the beginning of the run. I change in to my glimmer taking off in to the night as his huge body follows me barreling close behind.
