Chapter 44.
Estella’s POV.

We push our way through the crowd as I look for Collin, Amelia’s hand grasped tightly on to mine when I come across my mother.
“Hey are you coming with us?” I ask, she shakes her head before trying to speak over the noise.
“I’m going to stay with the babies while you girls go, don’t worry about me and have fun.” She says happily before turning to hug Loral good bye.

We continue looking when I finally find him over by the appetizer table still talking with Orlando and a few other Alpha’s.
“There you are! I’ve been looking all over for you.” I say as he scoops me up in his arms kissing me deeply in front of everyone.
“Collin!” I exclaim as he chuckles placing me back on the ground.

“Are you almost ready?” He leans down and asks softly as I nod excitedly.
“Amelia’s going to join us tonight?” He asks happily when he notices her still clutched on to my hand.
“Yes, Ella talked me in to it.” She says looking down still seeming very nervous.
“Good! I’m sure you’ll love it.” He finishes before turning to address the crowd.

“Thank you all for coming, we are expecting a few more groups in the morning, until then I’m very happy to see you all here with us and I invite you all to join my mate and I for a moonlight run. We will be going again tomorrow night after the ceremony but for tonight it will just be us.” He bellows as everyone erupts in to cheers and laughter, wolves begin to shift as I see Loral run up to join us.

We change in to our glimmers while Collin’s voice carry’s through the trees.
“Alright everyone, Like usual we run the boarder of the pack lands, you can wonder off the trail but you need to return within 3 hours of the starting point, guards will be making rounds to ensure everyone makes it back safely, enjoy!” He yells again before dropping down and shifting in to his beautiful wolf his large form reaches to the sky sending a long loud howl up to the moon declaring our start.

We all rush off in the same direction as a big group, I take a few deep breaths feeling the power flow through my wings, my heart pounds just as loudly as the wolves paws hit the ground below us. The wind rush’s over me pushing my little body side to side, I flutter another foot higher to try and gain back control as I look over to Amelia.

“It’s fun right?” I ask as she blushes and I dive towards her full force, she squeals trying to duck out of the way but not before I grab her foot pulling her with me to a near hanging branch. She lands on top of me as we both get lost in a fit of giggles, we don’t even notice Loral land just beside us.
“I see you too are having fun.” She claims as she leans against the tree laughing at us.

Out of no where Amelia pushes Loral off the branch before taking off trying to get as far from Loral as she can, Loral gains control back and shoots herself off in the same direction Amelia just went and I leap off the tree to follow them while Collin comes back in to view, I leave the girls to dive down towards him landing on his back as his fur rush’s along my body.

I close my eyes lying back as I focus on the wind tickling my body, it trails along me and I inhale deeply taking in the smell of the earth on a crisp summer night. His fur makes small whooshing sounds as it blows against me, I look up at the stars memorizing their placement focusing on the bright moon that beats down over us, cloaking us in eternal beauty and love from the moon goddess as my heart feels full.

I cling to Collin for a few more minutes allowing him to run for me before throwing myself off of him letting my wings take over gently carrying me through the air. I catch up to Loral and Amelia as they continue to flutter around one another playing, Amelia really seems to enjoy herself which makes me happy. I knew she would love the moonlight run as much as I do, and judging by the amazing glow shining off of her I think it’s safe to say I was right.

We continue chasing one another through the trees and leaves as the night air cools and begins to sting my skin, I drop back down to Collin to take the rest of the ride back on him. We were much closer then I thought, we make it back in a few moments and he darts towards the large bonfire with the rest of the wolves, I see Steele run up to us carrying Amelia and Loral. I guess they had the same idea as I did.

“I hope you all enjoyed the moonlight run as much as I did and I thank you all for coming to experience it with us.” He says loudly as the wolves all burst out in to cheers, hooting and howling until Collin raises his hand to silence everyone.
“There is still food on the patio and the tents have been set, I will see you all in the morning.” He finishes making the crowd cry out again as I smile brightly.

I gently kiss Collin before going to check on the babies with Amelia, going in to the nursery River starts to stir, I send Amelia back down for bottles while I get started. Apparently we picked the perfect time to check them. I grab new diapers and cream as I change River quickly doing her sleeper back up to move on to Olivia. Amelia comes in and I nod for her to take River first.

“So how did you like it?” I ask with a bright smile and she blushes in return.
“You’re right, it was amazing. Thank you for letting me come Ella.” She answers softly smiling back.
“I think I’ve been getting more excited to find my mate.” She says softly looking down to River.
“Yeah? Why the sudden change?” I ask smiling softly, I burp Olivia and begin rocking her back to sleep as she shrugs before putting River back in her crib first.

I meet Collin back in our bedroom and he already has the bath ran, the familiar smell fills the room giving me butterflies as I walk in to see him already undressing.
“There you are, I was wondering what was taking you so long.” He says stepping in to the water and I see the steam roll off his body.
“Babies woke up, Amelia and I were putting them back to bed.” I tell him while taking my clothes off to join him.

I feel the hot water travel up my body covering me in it’s warm embrace, my muscles relax and everything melts away as I feel completely at peace with myself and my life.
“Did you have fun today?” He asks softly as he extends his hands drawing me towards him, I nod answering his question as I lay my head down on his chest.

“Amelia enjoyed it, and she seems to be more open to finding her mate now.” I tell him with a small smile as his hands begin to wonder over my body.
“Good, it’s amazing to see how far she’s come and how much she’s been opening up.” He says as his fingers continue their dance making me moan.
“Whats going on with Orlando?” I ask softly as I feel his chest tighten before he releases a deep breath.

“He found out he’s sick, he only has a few months left. Thats why he asked to merge our packs, he doesn’t have the time to figure out another heir and he trusted my father. He watched me grow up, him and my father taught me everything I know about leading my pack, he couldn’t trust his pack to anyone else.” He says in one long breath as I nod against him.
“Ok, we’ll do it.” I answer softly, our pack just keeps getting bigger, but the more the merrier.

We finish our bath and dry off before I go to collapse in bed and Collin softly puts on music.
“I’m sure a lot of wolves will be partying throughout the night.” He chuckles softly.
“Hopefully this will drowned out the noise.” He walks back to the bed as I nod softly already drifting off to sleep not even concerned with whats going on outside.
