Chapter 20.
Chapter 20.
Estella’s POV.
“Estella, come on Estella it’s time to get up. The cars packed and we need to get going if we’re going to make it in time.” I hear Collin’s voice in my head as he starts to pull me from my dark sleep.
“Estella.” He says again and my eyes fly open as I realize he’s rubbing my back.
“Good morning, little mate. It’s time to go meet the fairy Queen.” He says softly as I start to sit up and feel the nausea start again.
“Oh no!” I say sprinting out of bed running to the bathroom.
Once I’m done I clean myself up and get dressed I just want this day over with already. I put on a pair of yoga pants and a light blue t-shirt with a pull over hooded sweater, by the time I’m done getting ready Collin’s walking back in the room with a plate of pancakes, a cut up grapefruit and orange juice, I shake my head and he hands me the meds the doctor gave us. I swallow them back with the juice and wait for my stomach to settle before trying to eat.
“Are you excited to meet your grandparents?” He asks as I start cutting up my food.
“Mhm” I say stuffing a soft fluffy piece of syrup covered goodness in to my mouth as a big smile crosses Collin’s face.
“Ok little mate, eat up I’ll get the last of the things in the car, meet me down there?” He asks as I nod still stuffing my face.
A few minutes later I come down the stairs to see Enzo closing the trunk of the car, I get in the passenger side as Collin starts the car and I squirm around getting comfortable . We wave off Steele and Enzo and are on our way to Clove County to find some answers, it didn’t take long for me to fall asleep on our drive.
I feel the car come to a stop and I jolt awake.
“We’re here little mate.” I sit up quickly realizing how terrible I must look as Collin gets out walking over to my side opening my door for me while I drag my body out. We walk up to a line of tall bush’s that smell amazing.
“What do you mean we’re here?” I ask looking around laughing as two shimmery little lights flutter around the bush’s landing in front of us, two fully grown people stand and I stare at them wide eyed. The middle aged woman walks towards me grabbing my hand.
“Oh dear it’s so nice to meet you, I’m Loral the Queen of the fae and your grandmother.” She says softly as she touches my cheek.
“This is your grandfather Onyx.” I stare at them in awe, they are both tall and slim with a beautiful complexion, their skin almost glimmers.
“It’s nice to meet you too, I’m Alpha Collin’s and this is Estella Moone.” Collin says as I still just stand there with my jaw dropped.
“We’ve been waiting for your call, come let’s go to the palace.” Loral says pushing aside one of the bush’s as we all walk through, on the other side is a cobblestone path leading through a beautiful garden. I notice everything seems bigger, the trees and flowers all seem bigger, I look around soaking it all in as I feel my fingers burn and I realize my magic is surfacing.
“How much do you know of your magic dear?” Loral asks placing her hand on my shoulder calming the burning.
“Not a lot.” I respond. “I didn’t even know I was a fairy until a few weeks ago.” I shrug.
“Oh dear, well that will have to change.” She says as we come in to view of a beautiful iridescent tall palace, it looks like glass shimmering beautifully in the sun.
As we come up to the huge doors they swing open in to a large great room, the whole place is full of hanging vines and smells like the rainforest, there’s huge crystals all around as you can see little glittering lights flying around.
“It’s beautiful.” I say when we walk in to a smaller room off to the side with a large waterfall coming off the one wall in to a shallow pond in the middle. We all take a seat on the wooden benches around a small rock table.
“Now what is it you’d like to know.” She says as a small glimmer changes in to a person beside us and starts pouring some tea.
“Well.” I start. “The village never told me much about my parents I didn’t even know I was a fairy until I moved in to Collin’s pack, once I moved in I used magic by accident a few times which ended up making me pass out.” I say as she just nods listening to me talk.
“I found my birth certificates long with my mothers. I also came across another one with a girls name on it but it’s very smudged. My mother is listed as her mother and father is unknown, I also recently found out I’m pregnant and I’m having a really hard time. The pregnancy seems to be causing a lot of issues with my health due to my genetics.” I say all at once almost out of breath.
“Hmm.” She says nodding.
“what has happened since you found out of your pregnancy?” She states quietly.
“Well I’ve been sick every day which isn’t allowing me to eat basically anything until the pack doctor gave me some medication, and I’ve passed out because of exhaustion.” I say.
“I think your mother may have blocked your magic.” She states clearly
“You haven’t used magic until you were around other magical creatures, the wolves. Now your magics fighting to come out so it’s sporadic and unpredictable, there are stories of werefea baby’s born and it is very possible. I’ve just never seen one, I will have to do some research.” She states making me feel butterflies.
“So I’m thinking your magic is fighting your body to help the baby which is over loading your body. Fae magic protects the mother when pregnant, so I think your magic is attacking your body if my daughter blocked it.” She try’s to explain as my head spins.
“So how do we fix it?” Collin asks.
“Well I can absorb the magic your mother used on you hopefully pulling the block, once your magic is back it should begin to protect the pregnancy instead of attack your body.” She says as the glimmering light comes back with a plate of cookies.
“Ok let’s do it.” I say popping a cookie in my mouth. She walks up behind me placing her hands on my shoulders, I look at Collin watching his facial expressions to see what she’s doing, I begin to feel the familiar warmth beneath her hands as my fingers start to tingle. I close my eyes feeling almost like a blanket peal off of my body as she squeezes on to me tighter. My nerves all sting as I feel my magic coarse through my veins filling my body and it begins to feel light, for the first time in my entire life my body feels full. My heart flutters as I feel my magic settle inside me, she pulls her hands off on me sitting back down beside my grandfather.
“Now that I’ve taken the block off, your magic will come at full force. You will need training to control it and use it properly. I will be sending a fairy home with you, she will keep in contact with me and she will teach you your gift.” She says sweetly as I smile deeply and my heart feels full.
“Thank you.” I say.
“What happened to my mother?” I ask As her head lowers and her eyes hit the floor.
“She went missing 20 years ago, she was set to marry a prince and 2 weeks before the wedding she just disappeared. We spent years looking for her but it’s like she was gone without a trace, but seeing as she blocked your magic she probably blocked her own as well preventing us from finding her.” Onyx answers me as he rubs his chin gently.
“Ok and what about my half sister, the second birth certificate I found?” I say
“We didn’t even know about you, we didn’t know she had any children let alone 2. After she left we always thought she was dead, we grieved the loss of her years ago.” Loral says touching my hand softly and I feel sadness wash off her.
“We are so glad you found us.” She smiles sweetly.
