Chapter 46.
Chapter 46.
Estella’s POV.
*2 years later*
The sun beats down on us as we sit by the big tree just outside the garden enjoying the warm summer day, Olivia and River play in the fields running through the flowers giggling with one another. River has grown so much, I knew she would, being a werefea child but that doesn’t make it any easier. I watch the girls contently when Brody stirs and I pat his bum softly rocking him back and forth.
“When is mom coming to see Olivia?” Amelia asks from beside me startling me from my day dream.
“I’m not sure she should be here soon I’d assume.” I answer as she begins to burp Locklyn.
“She should be coming more then she is.” Amelia spits coldly, about 6 months ago our mother decided she wanted to go back to Clove County to start a new life, she didn’t fit in here and wanted to leave.
She left Olivia with Amelia and I because we were both pregnant at the time she left and I already had River, it’s been quite a challenge getting in to a new routine with 4 kids all under the age of 3 but we’re doing it. Our mother would come back every few days for the first month to see Olivia, now we’re lucky to see her once a month.
We spend the afternoon in the garden watching the girls play before we finally bring them in for dinner, our mother never showed once again. We pass by Enzo and Steele on our way to the dinning room as they lean up against the wall laughing with each other.
“Hey do you guys need any help?” She calls watching us wrangle the kids as I chuckle. Calling her over, she gently kisses Enzo before coming to grab the girls hands to lead them back inside.
“She didn’t come again.” Steele asks quietly so the kids don’t hear as Amelia shakes her head giving us a death look to let us know how she feels about the situation.
We get inside as the smell of roast and gravy fill the room, my mouth waters while we walk in to the dinning room to see Collin and Weston sitting at the table waiting for us, Enzo comes in behind us pulling out the baby seats as he takes one of the girls from Steele to get her situated, Enzo and Weston break up the kids food giving it to them as Amelia and I put the babies in the swings next to us.
“How was your day today?” I ask Collin as I grab a plate, filling it before joining the boys at the table.
“Well we now have separate patrol groups to cover all of the pack, those groups will meet with one another each night to make sure everyone’s on the same page. Building is almost done on the new schools and houses across the pack and Orlando’s pack is starting to get back to normal.
Orlando passed last year, Collin took over his pack just before then so Orlando didn’t have to worry about it. We all continue our conversation as we eat and the night goes on, I sit back watching my family feeling completely full. Amelia has found her mate and they have started a family and my family is growing each year, I think to myself as my hand goes to my stomach softly remembering the news I got this morning. I can’t wait to tell Collin about the new little addition. My heart throbs thinking of how far we’ve all come together, I couldn’t be happier.
