15-Elephant In The Room
**Saviera's POV**
Sitting through class was so funny. Daveed struggled to stay focused and it didn't help that I would bite my bottom lip on occasion or give him a little wink when I knew no one was looking. I texted Zuri about what I said to Daveed this morning.
**Me**: *Soooo I gave Daveed a little run down on our plan. Minus the baby thing, of course. We can talk to him about that part together.*
**Zuri**: *Omg. What did he say?*
**Me**: *He wasn't against it by any means. Just worried about his job, but if we're careful then how would anyone know?*
**Zuri**: *We'll talk to him together. I'll see if he wants to come over for dinner tonight. I want us all to be comfortable with each other. Promise me this won't cause any issues with us. I want us to experience everything together, but not if you aren't comfortable with it.*
**Me**: *I promise this won't cause us any issues. Nothing could break us apart, you know this. I love you!*
**Zuri**: *I love you too*
Class ended and I take my time gathering my stuff so that I'll be the last student out. Daveed's sitting at his desk watching me with a smirk.
"You are trouble. I couldn't focus the entire class, Saviera." He said.
"Oh I know. It was amusing. So what are you doing this evening?" I asked.
"I don't have anything planned. Why?" He asked with a lifted an eye brow.
"Zuri wants you to come to her apartment. She wants to talk to you." I responded.
"Okay. I'll text her." He said.
I smiled big and said, "We will see you at six o'clock. We'll feed you dinner, so come hungry." I walk out and head to my next class. Art History is my second favorite class, but I'm so ready for the day to be over.
**Zuri's POV**
Today has been a pretty good day. Almost all of our patients have been cavity free and the day has gone by quickly. I had the chance to talk to Dr. Drew about my decision and he was so happy to hear the news. The end of my shift came and I headed home. I can't wait to get a shower and slide on something more comfortable to wear.
I get home and see Sav working on an assignment while listening to music. She has on a black t-shirt that I don't recall ever seeing her wear. "Where did this come from?" I asked as I plucked the sleeve.
"Oh baby, do I have a story for you! Some woman almost got beat the hell up today. So, I was texting you this morning before class and of course, I wasn't paying attention and accidentally ran into a woman and her coffee spilled all over us both and I said I was sorry. She had the nerve to tell me that I was lucky that she had a spare shirt in her husband's office and she looked at me like I was a piece of garbage so, me being me, I corrected her and told her that she was the lucky one because nothing was going to happen to me if she didn't have an extra shirt. Then Daveed came up and asked what happened and I might have called her a Karen and went into the classroom. But long story short, Daveed had this in his office and he let me borrow it so I wouldn't have to wear coffee all day." She said.
"Oh wow! That's a lot. And you didn't hit her? I'm so proud of you. It's funny that you said 'long story short', but you basically gave a whole rant." I said with a laugh. I really am proud of her for controlling her anger.
"Yeah I don't know why I said long story short. But apparently, that woman is on the board of directors. Daveed said I need to be more 'calm' because I never know who could hold power." She said with air quotes around the word calm.
"He will learn with time that you don't care about stuff like that. He came in handy with this shirt though." I responded. "So, Chinese for dinner?"
"Yes! I'm craving it so badly. We need a large order of General Tso's chicken, orange chicken, and bourbon chicken. For sides I need beef lo mein, fried rice, and egg rolls. Oh, and whatever you want as well." Sav is such a chunk. I know she's ordering extra though because Daveed will be coming over for dinner tonight. The three of us have a lot to talk about. I call our favorite Chinese restaurant and place an order for delivery at five o'clock. By the time the food gets here, Daveed will be just showing up.
"Come take a shower with me. I need pampered after my day" Sav says.
"Okay let's go." I respond.
We get in the shower and wash each other's bodies. I take a some extra time on her because I know her day was a little rocky. Sav really does have the biggest heart and just because she's a strong woman, that doesn't mean she deserves to be treated badly by anyone. When we get done in the shower, I massage Sav on our bed with a new vanilla cashmere scented lotion that we recently bought and it smells so good. I don't know why we didn't start using it sooner.
"This lotion smells amazing." I groaned and leaned down to kiss Sav. She kissed me back and intensified the moment. We traded places and now she is hovering over me, still kissing each other. She breaks the kiss and rubs my body down with lotion too. That's when we hear a knock on our door. The clock says five forty-five, so it could be the food or Daveed. We hurry up and throw on our over-sized t-shirts and some boyshorts underwear with fuzzy socks. Sav is quicker at getting dressed, so she got to the door before I did. Thankfully, it was the food. I know Sav will want to brush her hair before Daveed gets here. I help Sav with grabbing some of the food and pay the delivery man.
"Go ahead and brush your hair out while I get the food set up for us." I say.
"Thank you! I wish I didn't have to do something with this mess every day of my life." She responded and rushed to the bathroom.
She walked back into the dinning space that we have next to our living room and another knock sounds on the door. Sav answers it while I go into the kitchen for drinks.
"What are you guys wanting to drink?" I shout from the refrigerator.
"I want sweet tea please!" Sav requested. "Daveed said he'll take an iced water."
I get our drinks and go to the table. "Hey, Daveed. How was your day?" I asked.
He chuckled a little and said, "Kind of interesting, if I'm being honest. Was I supposed to wear a t-shirt and underwear? I feel a little over dressed."
He's wearing grey joggers and a white v-neck. "I think the grey joggers was a good choice." Sav said as she looks at his groin. Her modesty never gets old.
"How do you keep up with her? I have to know your secrete." He said.
"I don't. She just can't be tamed." I said with a laugh. "But I wouldn't have it any other way." I added.
"Okay, let's eat. I'm going to die of starvation." Sav says dramatically. I already had everyone's plate made, so we sat down and dug in.
"You two order from the same place I order from. They have the best bourbon chicken and egg rolls." Daveed said.
"Yes, they really do. I don't know what I would do if they shut down. I'll need them to stay open forever." Sav responded as she takes another bite with her eyes closed. I start to laugh because she looks like she's in paradise.
"So, who's going to mention the elephant in the room?" Sav says.
"Apparently, you are. Let's talk." Daveed said. He looks comfortable. I think this will be smooth.
