65-I Do Continued
**Saviera's POV**
I wipe my face and take a breath, "Daveed, I knew as soon as I got to the alter, I was going to forget every word that I had written to prepare me for this moment." Zuri giggles along with most of the guests. "Luckily, I'm so in love with you that I could go on and on without a script. You've saved me from myself more times than you know. The challenges I face don't seem so bad when I have you by my side, fighting right along with me. You never fail to keep me afloat when I feel like I've fallen ten steps back. There are days when I feel like I'm taking more than I'm giving, and even on those days, you still manage to make my role in your life feel important. I promise to keep our home your place of peace. I promise to nourish your body physically and emotionally. I promise to listen when you talk and respond in love."
Zuri takes Daveed by the hand, and he takes my hand with the other. Chandler gives her Daveed's wedding band, "I knew Sav was going to forget her part, so I'll add the pieces that were left out."
Zuri is always coming to my rescue; that is why I love her so much. She continued, "We don't know how you manage to love us so perfectly, although Sav and I are polar opposites. You go from fierce with her to gentle with me without hesitation or difficulty. You never complain about the hard work you put into us and our home no matter how exhausted you are. Sav and I thought we were each other's perfect balance until we added you. You are the one who keeps our feet on the ground. You've proven to be our anchor time, and time again. We always knew we were meant to be together, but we also knew in our hearts that we had a missing puzzle piece. We are complete with you. Every day, I fall more in love with you. You knocked down every wall that I put up because I was afraid of having what we have now and then possibly losing it. Allowing you to love me correctly is the best decision I have ever made. I promise to never put that wall back up. I promise to love you out loud for the world to hear. I promise to bring you joy and tenderness. With this ring, we promise to support you as you support us. We will be your comfort and laughter. We will be your best friends and lovers all in one." She slides the ring on his finger.
"These wedding rings are a symbol of your love for one another. Let them be a reminder to choose one another every day, for as long as you live. This is your commitment to cherish one another and invest in your marriage. Daveed, do you promise to uphold your vows to Zuri and Saviera?" Dan asks.
"I do," Daveed says with his beautiful smile.
"Zuri and Saviera, do you promise to uphold your vows to Daveed?" He asks us.
"I do," We say together.
"I now pronounce you husband and wives. Daveed, you may kiss your brides, if you wish to do so." Dan said.
"This is the part I've been most excited about," Daveed gives Zuri the sweetest kiss, so tender and careful. They broke the kiss and his lips met mine, more rough and full of hunger; Just how we like it.
Everyone cheered and we made our way out the way we came in, now joined together as one.
The reception has me blown away. Our parents went above and beyond to make sure we have the best experience and I am impressed. Ember and Luca made sure their staff catered delicious food from Jamaican Jerk. Their food never disappoints, though. The DJ plays great music for everyone to dance to while Zuri and I prop up our swollen feet.
"Well, this is lovely. I'm glad everyone is enjoying our reception." We're in too much pain to do the father-daughter dance right this moment, so we're going to do that to end the reception. Daveed already did his mother-son dance when it started. One by one, our friends and family give us hugs and congratulate us. It is so nice being able to see Paige and Korinna again. We've been sitting here catching up on each other's lives while Daveed and Rory have some drinks together. My cousins plan to come back for a visit after the babies are born, so we get to see them again very soon. We have to get our moms back in touch so we can all be close like we should be.
Elliot comes over and takes a seat, "Hey sisters. How are your ankles?"
He thinks he's so funny, "They're still throbbing. You know what would help them?" I ask.
He makes a weird face, "Please don't ask me to massage them."
Zuri and I crack up, "That's not what I was going to say. It would help if you go get us some more cake."
"How would that help your ankles by eating more?" Kids say the darndest things.
"Because we won't have to get up and walk if you go get it. Therefore, our ankles are better off if you get it for us." I explain.
"You're so weird, Sav. Of course, I'll get you both some cake, but it's not because of your ankles. It's because I'm a gentleman." He gets up and straightens his suit before going to get it.
Zuri shakes her head, "That kid is something else. The world isn't ready for him yet."
"That's no joke." He comes back with a chocolate and white piece. Zuri takes the white because she doesn't want chocolate in her teeth.
The night is coming to an end, meaning it's time to close the reception with our father/daughter dances. Zuri and I chose the song *I Loved Her First* by Heartland. By the end of the dance, our dads are choked up with tears threatening to fall from their eyes. I can tell the lyrics at the end of the song got to Daveed as well because he wiped away tears of his own while looking at my bump.
Zuri and I take a seat as everyone says their goodbyes. When we're the last ones left, Daveed gets down on the floor and kisses my tummy.
"Don't get married until you're forty. I won't be able to give you away any sooner than that," He said to little Jilly-bean and I rolled my eyes.
"Don't be so dramatic," Zuri said while trying not to laugh.
"Maybe she won't want to get married. Maybe she will be happy with some dogs and be single forever." He only got more dramatic.
"Okay, let's go. Daddy is losing his mind." I joke.
We get home and go straight to sleep after having a relaxing bath in the jacuzzi. Tomorrow, we leave at six in the morning for a surprise honeymoon trip that Daveed planned for us.
