64-I Do

**Daveed's POV**

I ended up staying the night at my parents' house with my brothers and all the women had a sleepover at my house. Everyone was saying it was bad luck to see each other on our wedding day. So, here I am, waking up in my childhood bedroom that I had as a teenager. I sent Armoni to my house with a list of everything I need for him to pick up so I can get ready for the day. He's the most trustworthy one for the job because he's the most organized out of all of us.
I go downstairs and everyone is awake, eating the breakfast that mom cooked. Our moms and dads didn't partake in the sleepovers, thankfully. I find comfort in having my mom here to help me prepare for the wedding. No matter how old I get, I'll always need my parents and I hope my kids will always need me too.
"You ready for this?" Devence asks me while we eat French toast, scrambled eggs, bacon, and grits.
"I couldn't be more ready," Being a married man with children was such a huge goal for me but when Isabella and I crumbled, I thought maybe it isn't meant for me. Zuri and Sav ignited something in me that I have never felt before.
"Did they already request their last names to be changed or are they waiting until after the wedding?" He asked.
"They requested it a few weeks ago, but we haven't heard anything back yet. They had to provide a reason for the name change in the petition to the judge and I'm afraid it will be denied. They refused to lie on the petition, so if it's denied, we will file an appeal to fight the denial." I hope it doesn't get to that point, but we have a lawyer ready just in case.
"I hope it all goes as planned. You three don't need any more hurdles in your life." He's right. It seems like we have faced one hurdle after another.
"Agreed. Regardless, we're going to be alright. As long as we're together, I'm happy." We finished our breakfast and Armoni shows up just in time for me to get ready for the wedding. In two hours, I will watch my beautiful brides walk down the aisle. In two hours, I'll be a married man.

**Saviera's POV**

Zuri and I do each other's makeup and hair. This is one of those intimate things that we love doing together and it makes it even more special today. We help each other get into our dresses and all the ladies are putting the last touches on their makeup as our time runs out. My mom and Zuri's mom are wearing matching champagne-colored dresses. They'll be standing at the altar as our maid of honors and our dads will give us away, as expected. Daveed's mother and sisters will be standing next to our moms wearing the same colored dresses, but they're wearing a different style than Ember and my mom. Claire and Jess asked to be our flower girls, so this is going to be interesting, and my nephews will be the ring bearers.
We make it to the indoor shelter right beside our wedding venue. The men are currently getting ready at the alter while guests get seated. Mom said my cousins Paige and Korinna are here all the way from Michigan and that makes this day even more perfect. I haven't seen them in about ten years. They moved to Michigan when we were little girls and our family hasn't been the greatest at keeping in touch. My mom loves her sister, but they aren't close. I'll never allow Selene and I to get to that point.
The time has finally come. Our mothers lead the way as our bridesmaids meet with the groomsmen. My dad escorts my mom, Luca escorts Ember, and Leo escorts Evelynn. Armoni walks with Caroline, Devence walks with Khiya, and Elliot walks with Aster. I peek out the window and see Rory is already standing right next to Daveed, saying something in his ear, and giving his back a slap. Daveed cracked a smile that made my heart flutter. Dad and Luca came back so they can walk us down the aisle.
I take my dad by the arm and Zuri does the same with Luca. "Are you two ready to go?" Luca asked.
Zuri and I look at each other and take a deep breath. This is really happening. "Let's go marry our man," she said.
"What if I forget my part of our vows? I'm so nervous." I practiced my vows so many times, I should be able to say them backward by now.
"You're going to be fine. If all else fails, just be you." Zuri always knows what to say.
"Okay. I love you, Zuri. I couldn't do life without you." I try my best to keep my composure.
"I love you too, babe." She leans in for a kiss that's short and sweet. "I'm ready when you are."
"I'm ready. Let's do this," We take our flowers and link our arms together to walk side-by-side and hold onto our dad's elbows.
Claire and Jess finished sprinkling rose petals down the aisle and the song *I Do* by 98 Degrees begins to play. This isn't a traditional religious wedding, so we chose to not use the traditional wedding song.
We step out of the shelter and everyone stands. I don't even pay attention to the guests because my focus goes straight to Daveed. The moment his eyes landed on us, he looked like he could cry. There is so much love in the air, it feels tangible. We make it to Daveed and our dads kiss our foreheads before they take their place.
Daveed takes us by the hands and kisses the back of them. Dan, a humanist my dad recommended, started the ceremony.
"Please take your seats," He directed the guests and continues, "We are gathered here today to celebrate and support the commitment being made between Daveed, Saviera, and Zuri. Marriage is more than a piece of paper and legalities. It is the binding of souls who choose one another. In marriage, you become a team. Marriage is work and dedication. It's choosing one another even when times get tough. Always remember to turn to one another in every situation. Today, you arrived as individual beings, but you will leave as one unit. At this time, the groom and his brides will exchange their vows. Daveed, you may go first."
Daveed smiles, "Zuri and Sav, my life has been anything but ordinary since you entered it. Every difficulty we have faced to get us to this point has made me a better man. I strive to be good enough for you every day and I'll continue to do so for the rest of our lives. You taught me how to love when I thought I was a lost cause. I went from running from commitment to building a family in just a matter of months because I felt safe enough with you both to want that again. There might be two of you and one of me, but I promise to be everything you need in a man, and more. I promise to be your strength when you feel weak and your light on your darkest days. I promise to lead and protect our family in the best way that I can. I promise to love you the way you need to be loved so that you will never have to pour from an empty glass."
Zuri and I can't stop the tears from escaping as Jax hands two rings to Daveed. "With these rings, I vow to love, protect, lead, and provide for you and our family for as long as we live." He slides the matching diamond bands that fit beautifully with the engagement rings on our fingers.
Dan turned to Zuri and me, "Saviera and Zuri, you may give your vows."
