“I knew you won't let anyone trample over you!”

In Ray Mansion.
“Not again!” Alexa held her mouth as she ran into the bathroom. She held her hair up and vomited into the sink.
She reached for a tissue and wiped her mouth, leaned on the wall, and gasped for her breath.
Since this morning, all Alexa's activities have been to vomit. She woke up feeling so dizzy and nauseating.
Her belly gave the feeling of carrying a twenty-story building. She had little appetite and vomited more.

“Ma'am! I mean Alexa, are you alright?” Miss Naomi immediately ran after her. She gently stroked her back and laid the pillow flat for her.

“Have a nice rest. It is just a normal sign of pregnancy ” Miss Naomi helped her back on the bed and put a warm cloth on her body.

“If so then I hate it!” Alexa bluntly stated as she pouted her lips. This morning had been a peril to her.
She was tired of running every minute to either pee or vomit.

“Every woman passes through this symptom. Even I did. ” Miss Naomi tucked in the blanket and turned to head out.

“Have a nice rest, Madam ”
She left the room and walked to the hallway when she dialed Ray's number.

“Boss, The young Miss has been vomiting lately and has a high fever. She refused to eat anything and also have mood swings ”
Miss Naomi reported Alexa's new behaviors.

“When is she sleeping?”

“No. She was running one right now but it was subsidized. It is just a mild fever ”

“Has she been laid to rest?”

“Yes I just laid her to rest but the young miss still insists on leaving the house. We even had to quarrel before she could agree to stay in the house. ”

“I will be back soon.”
The call disconnected. Ray stood up from the chairman's chair and walked out from the conference room. The whole manager broke into a sweat as they watched him leave.
They were currently in a meeting discussing the annual increase in their stock when Ray's phone rang.
They were so surprised he picked the call. They all knew Ray never likes disturbance during the held meeting, therefore, they try to avoid all distractions.
Seeing they quickly left the conference hall after the call, they could not help but shiver. They all turned toGabriel, who himself was confused with the entire scene.

“Meeting adjourned!” Gabriel bowed and carried the left behind files of Ray out of the room.

“What is wrong with the boss today?”

“Are you sure that we are not in trouble?”
They murmured as most of them began to say their last wishes. Everyone in the company knew how tight Ray's rules are and breaking one of them meant hell.
Gabriel ran after the big boss immediately after he kept the files on his table and passworded the office.

“Clear my schedule today. ” Ray answered as he pressed the button to his private elevator and the door opened. He stepped into the elevator and the door closed.

“Wait! What?!” Gabriel said with utmost unrest. The big boss acted oddly after receiving that ring.
Could it be his mother again? Or that pesky woman? He asked himself as he took off to carry out the assignment given to him.

At home.
“What would you like to eat for lunch?” Miss Naomi gently shook Alexa up.
She yawned and rubbed her lazy eyes.

“Not hungry ” She placed her head back on the pillow to sleep.

“But.....okay, madam ” She sadly said and left the room. “Big Boss ”
She greeted me with her head bent.

“She still hasn't eaten?” His aura darkened as the woman nodded. “You can take a day off ”
Miss Naomi thanked him and headed out of the door. Ray opened the door quietly and peered at the sleeping beauty.
He took his step into the room and took off his jacket.

“Are you back already?” Alexa, who heard the familiar footsteps, asked.
Ray strolled to her side and looked at her. Due to the height difference, she was forced to sit up and raise her neck higher.

“Are you planning to starve the baby?” His question was cold.

“What is the essence of eating if I am still going to vomit it?” She threw back the question and laid on the bed. “ I am tired, I want to sleep ”
