Shouts and banging of the cell door were heard. Cedric screamed and fell to the fall. He did not know they weren't joking at all.
Last month, more lawyers came demanding for deadly amount of money as compensation for physically abusing their future Mrs.
He thought they were joking not until his credit card became empty. All his properties got traded out. He was in great debt and became chased by loan sharks.

“Are you not satisfied?! You've taken my car, my house and everything. What the fucking hell do you want again?” He screamed and tried to free himself from the dreaded chains which tied him to a metal wall.

“We are not done talking, Mr. Xu. Can you have some patience?” The Mo's lawyer reacted violently.
It wasn't enough to make him broke but to make him wish he was dead. His boss felt very bloodthirsty for only this man's blood and wanted for him to live a painful life.

“Patience?! What have I done to deserve this?! I don't know who you are and who I offended, yet you make me go through hell. It is already enough for me to bark at you.”

“Let me give you a hint, you made a wrong choice by mistreating someone my boss treasures. Should I say, the person you divorced is my boss's treasure ”
Cedric's eyes widened at the sudden mention of Olivia. Now that same question flew back into his head, who exactly did Olivia hook up with to give her this kind of power?

“It can't be......she is useless! No man would want her!” He yelled and pressed his knuckles together. As expected, she was neither faithful to him!

“That is just your useless fantasy. I should be greatly annoyed but I will let you exert your anger for now. The one who you hurt mercilessly is the boss's wanted wife.” The lawyer finally spoke out.
He has always wondered why his boss would stoop so low in loving a divorced woman with a tragic past and not Vivian or other younger and pretty ladies out there.

“I want to call someone .” Hoaka calmed his throbbing nerves. He needed help from the outside world quickly before he died in the cell.

“You have ten minutes to phone the person, anything more than that time, you know the punishment .” He excused himself and left him to call the person.

“Mom....... Are you there?”

“Yes, my son. I can't imagine that heartless bitch would do this to you. Where are you? I am coming to get you ” Xu Muhia cried out loud. The only time she was to hear the screams of her son was only in the night and that was once in a blue moon.
She tried very much to have contacts with him, even sending her men, however all in vain. Like he was trapped in a place far away from her.
Oh! her poor son!

“It is not the time to curse. I overhead them that I am going to be persecuted very soon ”

“WHAT?! They won't do that to you, would they?” Muhia bursted into tears. Her only son would soon be slaughtered like an animal and she could not do anything about it but to wait.

“I am pretty sure they can. It is possible that they are also from LR corps since they have all the authority from the mayor. Listen to me, by midnight, 16th, they will drug me and send me to their base and from there I would be at their mercy. I can't die without having my revenge yet.”

“What do you want? Please say fast!”

“I will call out Olivia's contact, you figure out her location. Right now, making peace with her could only make me be released. We have to try our best to appease her.”

“What the fuck are you saying?! She divorced you and slept with a rich fogey and now she is having her revenge on you and you want to be at peace with her......Is your brain malfunctioning? ”

“You don't get it. This place is well secured and they have sophisticated equipment. Killing me would not be a big deal for them and nothing you could do will stop them from carrying out their tasks ”

“Hear what I have to say, today, try to find out where she is and talk with her. Convince and if possible beg for her forgiveness. I know Olivia is like a book and how soft she is.....she will forgive you without a second thought, then you can go ahead with the motive of releasing me.”

“Oh okay...I just hope I can do it before you get beheaded. I don't want to lose my only son.”

“You won't if you execute the task well, mom, my life is counting on you ”

“Time is up! Back to your cell, Mr. Xu ” The lawyer said as the phone melted into liquid.

“My son......Olivia!” She picked her bags up and entered into her car. Saving her son was the only priority now and didn't care of being thick skinned about it.

“Wow! It is so lovely here!” They all exclaimed as they took their seats. When the news got to them that Mr. Armis was finally treating them to a meal, they all laughed and thought it was a joke not until now.

“And it is all thanks to Mr. Armis ” Vivian proudly said and went to the counter to hire a waiter.
Their restaurant's waiters were all booked and hardly free to attend to them so she had to go get one.
Vivian stood at the counter and jealousy watched as Anthony helped Olivia open the door and close it back.
In the past few hours, Anthony had turned into the slave while Olivia became the boss. He willingly did everything for her and had no complaints written on his face.

“Can I have a waiter for table 20?” Xixyi breathed out and focused on the present.

“I will send one for you ”
With that she walked back to the seat.

“I did not know Miss Jones would be free to join us for lunch ” Her tone seemed too harsh as other coworkers looked away from Olivia's sight. It was so obvious that the disrespectful Vivian liked and adored the boss ever since she got employed by him.
And by all chance, wanted to be close to him. She knew his schedule like the back of her hands. Knew his personal details and even became friends with the boss's mother.

“Why are we all still talking? Let us have a seat ” Anthony ignored the backlash thrown at his little miss. He did not have the time to deal with such and just shoved it away.

“Sure....”

“Sure..”
They all agreed. They could not just stand there and be busy poking noses in the young women's personal rivalry. And of course, they were super hungry!

“Here, Boss. I know you hate seafoods so I made sure to go extra miles to get you non Seafoods and your best flavor ” Vivian wiped his chopsticks with sanitary tissue and handed it over to him.

“You can have that instead, I will just share Olivia's own ” His words made Olivia raise her head in awe. Share her own cutlery? Must he be this shameless even during lunch?

“Ooh..... Here have some chicken ”

“No thanks. ” He added some fish to Olivia's plate. “Eat more. You are beginning to look so skinny ”

“Really? ......Thanks....... ” Olivia smiled back and held her arms nervously. His actions just made a bitch more angry and threw daggers at her. “I have to take this call ”
Her phone beeped and she finally got an excuse to leave the awkward lunch.

“Hey where are you going?”

“She will be back.....okay?” Vivian pulled him back on his seat and added more meat to his plate.


Meanwhile, Outside the cafe,

“Hello.......” She leaned against the wall and took the phone call. She said once more after there was no answer from the calling line. She cut the call and turned to go back inside when she heard a familiar, irritating voice.

“Miss Jonnes.... Why the rush?”
Her heart throbbed to see the woman she probably hated in her life well after her adoptive mother.

“Mrs Noville, how may I help you? It is so weird to see you here. ” She quickly composed herself and tried to sound less scared but more bold.
One thing she learnt from her horrendous past was to not show her weakness in front of people who want her dead.

“Can we have a talk in the café opposite us?”

“You can say what you want to say to me right now, we are standing here. I have someone waiting for me in there and would not want to leave without him knowing ”

“If so, then let's go in ”

“Can you just go straight to the point? I have nothing to discuss with you and I am perhaps sure I caught all ties with you ”

“You!” She cursed and calmed herself down. Besides, this was only for her son's life and she was ready to give it her all.

“It is about my son. I sincerely apologize for my son's unruly behavior which caused you lots of scars in the past. I know I have not been a good mother in law to you and I am always feeling down about my actions, but find it in your heart to forgive me ”

“This is quite fascinating to hear......”

“She has been gone for too long, I will go check on her ”

“No, let me....” Vivian volunteered.

“You stay and eat, I will look for her ” He got up and left. He hid behind the wall and listened to their conversation.

“What do you mean?” Even with her heart touching apology, the thick block wall did not move but rather stared at her with ridicule.
