“I don't want to hear any shit from you ” She pulled him back and let the doctor wheel her to the mortuary.

“You died all because of me. I feel so stupid right now ” He wiped his tears and brought out something from his pocket. He gently placed the gift he wanted to hand over to her on his birthday on her tomb. Alexa saw his whole emotions and grew angry.
She hid behind the wall and left the venue before being seen. She entered her car, slammed the door and bent her head on the steering wheel.
Her heart pained so much watching Ray mourn over another woman. Though it was a contract marriage, she knew it was not going to be healthy for her to fall in love after all the conditions were listed out, however her heart always turned deaf ears.
She plugged in the keys, started the engine and drove off to Valerie's house.

“I am sorry I haven't seen you since. I will make sure I come often ” He got up, bowed before her tomb and walked out of her grave. He bumped into his mother on the way. “What do you want?”
He coldly asked. His fist balled and his teeth clenched. His mother was solely the reason why she died. If she did not have a psycho who wanted his revenge, Audrey would never be dead.

“I should be asking you. I told you never to appear in front of her anymore but as always you disobeyed. What else do you want? I have given you all that you need but you chose to just go against my will, don't you?” Emily threw back the questions to him. She held her chest and tried to slow down her rage rate.
Getting angry for now was not the best option for her.

“And should I ask something! If you didn't have any enemies, why would she be killed?! You obviously knew I hated you with passion and was only close to Audrey, so you planned to take away the poor girl's life. Hope you are satisfied with the result!” He yelled at her and turned to leave when she grabbed him by the hand.

“You always think I am the bad guy, right? Yes I am bad! I am a bad woman, a scheming and cunning mother! I have no heart! Yes, I hate being a mother. I don't like you but I will never kill her!” Emily screamed back at him. Her heartbeat rose as she felt the huge surge of pain.

“Of course. Thanks for defining your true devil self!” Ray dragged his hand forcefully back, making Emily stumble on the hard ground.

“Mrs. Hudson ” Her assistant who had just seen how she fell ran to her rescue. “What is wrong with you?! She is your mother! Can't you have some respect?! ” She said while helping her cover the scars on her neck.
She will never understand the feud between these two people. All she knew was that they were prey and predators always out to get each other at their weakest point.

“Mother! I have no mother!” He raged out and walked outside. He left the two ladies.

“Are you okay?” She asked as she felt her beat slowly going down.

“Awwww! The medicine, quick ” Her breathing slowed down. She could already feel her heart stop.

“Mrs. Hudson. No please, wake up. Ambulance! ” She shook her and quickly helped her into the car and drove to the hospital.

In the bar.

“Hey don't bother yourself about that. Just have a drink ” Felix filled the glass up with whisky and pushed it over to Ray's side. “If you don't want to drink then don't waste perfectly tasty beer ”
Ray Hudston sighed and twirled the glass cup through his fingers. He brought the glass cup close to his nose and smelt the perfect aroma of the wine. He sipped it a little and enjoyed the taste.
He hardly drank wine and only smoked because the color of wine scared him the most. It reminded him of his best friend's blood that gushed on his face and arms on his birthday.
Moreover, today was a different occasion and he wanted to enjoy it to the fullest.

“So what are you going to do about my sister's love confession? Are you really going to ignore her feelings even when she is dead?” Felix devoured another cup of wine. He needed to talk business to him.
Her feelings could not be ignored and forgotten. He wanted to hear his opinion on it.

“I don't know whether it was true or not. She probably was sick and did not understand what she was saying ” Ray shoved the question away. How was he supposed to accept her feelings? It would break the friendship law.

“So you really are heartless like the rumors say?! You are just going to do as if you never heard her confession? ” Felix dropped the glass furiously, smashing the cup on the counter. He reached for another cup and poured more beer into it.

“Felix, Audrey was my best friend and will forever be my friend. If you want me to compensate for your loss by admitting that I have feelings for her, then I can not do that. I only saw her as a friend and nothing more ” Ray drank another cup of whisky and watched his reaction. Felix chuckled and looked away.
He was already half drunk yet drank more whisky. He could not be blamed for his action, besides he was the one who lost his family and not him.
As Ray wanted to take the last sip, he phone rang and he went outside to pick the call.

“What do you need, Gabriel?”

“Boss, the young miss saw you at Audrey's memorial and took off. Her contacts are down. I tried calling and calling but it keeps saying the subscriber number can not be dialed at the moment. I am afraid she has gone to do something really scary. ”
Gabriel said in a rush with his fingers flying across the keyboards. Ray swiped the bridge of his nose. That girl can not just stay in one place!

“Have you called Valerie to see where she is?”

“Her phone is also switched off. Boss, I don't know what to do.......”

“Be back home in a second ” He disconnected the call and rolled his hair backwards.

“Go do what you have to do. I will be here drinking as always ”He belched and went to a corner to throw up. “I am fine, really ”

“I will get someone to pick you up ” He entered the car and drove at high speed out of the bar. He drifted to the house and parked at the gate.
Ray came down running into the house and saw Miss Naomi crying.

“What did you say to her?!”

“I didn't mean it. She just came back and asked where you were. I could not lie to the big miss anymore as she got the hint of my quietness and drove out. I tried to chase her but she drove at high speed. I am really worried about her ”

“You! Gabriel, take her to the base and make sure she gets her appropriate punishment and later suspend her for two weeks. She is not allowed to step her legs into this house nor any properties belonging to the Hudston's. And as for you, if I can't find Alexa then I am sorry, I won't be able to keep you alive!”
Ray commanded with his cold aura filling the entire surroundings. Gabriel shook his head and felt bad towards the maid. Miss Naomi had worked for the boss for about six years and just because of a mistake, she got sanctioned and thrown to the dungeon. What a poor woman!

“Please help me beg him!”Miss Naomi fell on her knees and begged Gabriel. She did not like the dungeon and the punishment she was going to get.
During her years with him, she had rarely made a grievous mistake that would send her to the dungeon and get suspended or even make her lose her life.
Ran just prayed that everything would go smoothly and the young miss would come back.

“At this moment, it is your luck that can save you. Just hope the young miss is alright ”
Gabriel helped her up and took her to the base in the mansion. This was way more than what he had expected the big boss to do. He could only say that her luck was going well.
Normally, he would have killed her with his bare hands yet he did not and instead suspended her, that was luck already.

In Valerie's apartment.........

“I can't believe he could be this heartless! He tied you to an unfavorable contract marriage and still went to go and mourn a dead woman! What an uncultured beast!” Valerie whined as she opened the fridge to get out some fruit juice. “Drink out your frustration! ”
She cheered her glass with Alexa's own and gulped her wine down and watched Alexa drink her juice.

“How could you be so calm? You look as if nothing happened! ” Valerie snickered and sneered. She just could not understand this creature next to her.
Twenty minutes ago, she came in crying and panting from driving to fast and now she is here behaving dumb.

“What should I be like? Besides, I suspected some of this nature would happen. I should not be that concerned. We are in a contract marriage and he has every right to go out with any girl of his choice. I have no say ”

“You! You are really a fool! Even if he has every right to go out with any girl then he should tell you. My baby looks so worn out. I will order some dishes for you .” Valerie took her phone and placed an order on pepperoni pizza and porridge.

“The more you insult me the more I feel it is true.”
