Alexa could not believe her ears. No wonder they had similar features, so it turned out that they were siblings after all.

“I perhaps did not give you a full introduction of myself, I am Felix, The Young master of the Yan's. Nice to meet you, my princess ” Felix kissed her palms.

“So......you are Valerie's brother? ” Alexa raised her eyebrows to make sure she heard the right thing. Her only male friend was related to her best friend.

“Yes, sorry for not telling you. When you dropped from the plane, you looked angry and devastated at the time and you did not seem to have good feelings towards male .”

“I hid for something and at that time when I saw you, I made up my mind to change you. I created the apartment fiasco, and got you to share the same room to get to know you better. And we got along so I decided to only let you know my name and nothing else ”

Ray cracked his knuckles and removed his metal glove wiping his sweat from his head. He had just finished boxing in his private gym and sat down for a drink.

“Boss, here you go and the documents for the next meeting .” Gabriel handed him a napkin and a bottle of water alongside some bulky files.

“How many more minutes till the meeting?” He asked as he stood up and gulped the water down.

“forty five minutes, would you take the car or your private subway?” Gabriel packed the empty bottle and trashed it into the dustbin.

“Then what are we waiting for?” He and Gabriel left his gym and into the car. “How is Alexa?”
He crossed his legs and scrolled through some of the files. His schedules were filled and he had been attending some meetings since morning; he had no time to think about his pregnant love.

“About that boss, she was seen being private with a man. She talked intimately with a man in the café. I got the information from the boss, should I give it to you?” Gabriel also pointed to him the info on the brown files. How could Alexa cheat on the big boss? His heart pained to think that she looked for a reason to hang out with male friends.

“Felix? Him? Why is he back?” He said with a disdain in his voice. He was the main reason why he was happy that Alexa came back without him.
When she was overseas, he had every single detail and kept them excluding the one she shared with that damn boy.
He became jealous and tore the file. He ruffled his hair impatiently. His rage multiplied as he tried to calm his nerves.

“Boss, I guess he is here for Alexa, this time and he is not going to let any obstacles right now. ”
Gabriel wondered too. Felix had lots of business affairs and he bloomed right in the US, his appearance back to Carlifornia became suspicious.

“Keep your mouth to yourself ” He shut the noisy man up and let him drive to the company.

He entered his office after two hours of talking shit in the conference room. He gazed at the clock as the time ran quickly. He dialed her number and got no reply.

“Is she really enjoying his presence that she refuses to pick my calls?” He angrily and frustratedly rolled his eyes back and threw his phone on the couch. “Come in ”
He threw his head backwards on the chair as the door opened up. Miles chuckled at the disheveled look on Ray's face.

“Who made you this annoyed? Let me break some balls for you ” He removed his brown mink jacket and sat down. “Today is Audrey's remembrance day. It would be so sad that she sacrificed her life for you and you didn't even come for her memorial.”
Miles sadly said. He was agitated that his sister took the bullet for the cold, ruthless friend for no reason. Miles knew his sister liked Ray for a long time and decided to remain friends and even died on his behalf.

“It is? I forgot. ” Ray slapped himself really hard. The most important person in his life died because of him and here he was worrying about another lady. He tucked in and wore back his jacket and left the office.

In Ray's Villa.

Miss Naomi went to open and was surprised to see the young miss standing outside.

“You back that early? Your manager sent me your today's schedule, so that is why I am surprised you are back early. ” Miss Naomi opened the door wide and looked outside. A black land cruiser drove out of the parking lot and away.

“Who is that?” She whispered as she locked the door. When did the young miss start seeing a guy even when pregnant with the boss's child?

“A male friend of mine. We just met today and had a little talk. Is Ray around? He called me multiple times and I guess he needed me or something ”
Alexa sighed and removed her short heels and dropped her handbag. She walked over to the kitchen to get a cup of water.

“That......the boss was furious that he called and you ignored him.”

“I did not receive his call on time. Is he not around?” She interrogated once more. She knew eyes were going to be on her for the entire day and she needed to quickly explain to him before he misunderstood their relationship.
Miss Naomi hesitated to speak for a while. She turned away from the young Miss's gaze and itched her hair.
It would not be appropriate for her to tell the miss that the boss went to visit his late female friend even after she never knew about the girl.

“The boss went to Miss Audrey's memorial.”

“He went to Miss Audrey's memorial. Today is her memorial day .” Miss Naomi went to dish out the food prepared for the miss.

“ Miss Audrey? You mean Audrey? How come he never tells me about anything! ” She furiously murmured and turned her back. She grabbed her fluffy slippers and left the house.

“Miss!.......” Miss Naomi ran to the young miss and stopped her from entering her car. “Where are you going? Losing your temper is not good for the baby .”
She held the door from being shut. If this got to the ears of the boss, she could be fired or even killed. She was specifically instructed not to let the young miss know about the boss's past lady, yet she blurted it out.

“ Miss Naomi, am I stupid or am I a fool in you all eyes?! Ray obviously cares for another woman and you expect me to sit calm and watch him?! Let go of the door!”
Her anger broke out as she slammed the car door and started the engine. Her heartbeat increased as she stepped on the break.
She drove out of the villa and straight to the cemetery where they buried her. The last time she saw the face of that woman, her curiosity rose more and so did her suspicion.
Ray wasn't the person to keep photos of a woman unless she meant a lot to him. In fact she was jealous to see him cherish her lateness.
She increased her speed and parked the car. She came down and hit herself when she saw his car parked next to the entrance, which meant that he had just arrived. She had a little peek inside the car and walked into the cemetery.
Alexa supported herself as she passed through all the guests until she finally came to the large expanse of land decorated with pictures of Audrey.
The land had lots of yellow sunflowers which was one of Audrey's favorites followed by little paintings of butterflies and fireflies.

“Sister, I hope you are doing good ” Miles chuckled and knelt down while dropping the sunflowers on the tomb. He kissed her tomb and wrote on the wall next to it.
He smiled bitterly as he took one more last look at the picture. She was smiling happily with her arms tucked in between Ray and Miles.
She clocked twelve that day and celebrated it with Ray before the accident had occurred.
Her yellow gown was tainted with blood that gushed through her bleeding forehead as she laid helplessly on the night of her death.

“You are so stupid, you know! You could have just let him receive the bullet and make him die! Why sacrifice your life for a stone man? What did you even see in him? There are men out there that will appreciate you more than Ray did!”

“I know if you were probably here with me, you would spank me real hard and tell me never to speak ill of your Ray. I won't blame you, indeed, love is blind at such an age .”

“I have a surprise for you, your Ray came to visit you. At least, you know your death isn't in vain ” He got up and arranged his flowers next to the picture. He tapped Ray's shoulders. “Be careful with your words or unless she might not rest in peace ”
He replied and left him there. Ray smiled for the first time as he knelt down. He removed his jacket and laid it on her tomb.
Alexa moved closer and watched everything.

“Audrey.......brother Ray is here. ”
He bitterly wept and wiped the picture. His finger slowly went down through her face and to his.

“Recall, you said that we would always be friends and be protective of each other. Well, I failed at that! I am a pure failure! Everyday, I wonder what kind of failure I am. It was my fault everything happened that night. I shouldn't have requested you to celebrate my birthday with me. I am cursed. I am a complete fool ”
Ray bitterly said as he dropped the flowers and a photo card of them together on her tomb. A past that lingered on him every single day of his life.
His mind was never at peace and kept blaming himself for her death. That night was cold and blurry and also the night of Ray's birthday.
As usual, Audrey wore a happy face and helped him set up for his birthday. The little happy girl sang along to her favorite tune while putting the cake in the oven.
Unfortunately, his mother never showed up and chose business over her own son. It never surprised him as he was quite used to her abandoning him on his birthday.
Audrey ignored her chest pain and went to bring out the birthday cake. Little Ray got an idea and said.

“I have always wanted to watch some movie but I was punished and caged in the house, it would be best if we go watch it ” Ray hit himself as the past event revealed in front of him.

“But it is late and your mom would punish you more for being disobedient. I don't want your mom to be angry, it is not good for her health ” Audrey responded as she slowly brought out the cake from the oven. “Here you go ”
She tapped him and switched on the television. Audrey could not tell why Ray's focus was going to the cinema and refusing to watch it at home instead.

“Ray, do not tell me you still want to watch that movie this late. It is almost eleven and your mom would skin you alive!”

“How many times have I told you not to talk about my mother? Where is she on my most important day? My own birthday, she is out there working and left her son here!”

“It is my birthday and I have a wish to make right? So I say, let us go watch the movie. I got my dad's credit card so they'd allow us ”
