He stepped on the breaks and drove above speed limits. Not too long, he pressed the brakes after sighting her car in a club and came down.
“Have you seen a tall and angry woman who looked like she was gonna bury someone alive and also she was wearing a hospital gown?”
“Yes I did but for the hospital gown, she was not wearing that. You can try your luck in the gym ” The security pointed to the fifth floor. Felix thanked him and ran all the way to the fifth floor.
“Georgina, open the door ” He banged on the door after hearing screaming and bottle breaking sounds. He kicked the door down and ran inside only to see her punching the wall.
The wall had some cracks, cements poured on her shoulders and with blood gushing from her right arm.
Felix held her arm and turned her away from the wall to stop injuring herself.
Her hair was all scattered, she had dark circles on her eyes and no wonder the man said he did not find such a person because she had changed into a black top and jeans with heels.
“Let go of me!” Georgina struggled out from his grip which only tightened at every second of her struggle.
“Tell me! Why are you doing this to yourself?! You are not a child anymore! Stop being careless with your health. Your arms only need rest and you can't spare some days to let it rest?”
He had let go of her before he started talking some sense into this woman. Felix could understand her pain of not being able to do things that brought her happiness and he too would have such reactions if he gets here that he can not do what he loves.
He watched her swollen expression. She just gazed at the open windows in the room. The gym had no person except her which meant she booked the whole expensive room to vent her anger there.
How filthy rich was this girl?
“Yes that is true! I am reckless, stupid and just childish. I just like doing what pleases me but has anyone dared to ask what I truly love?” Georgina's voice cracked as she said it.
Overwhelming tears that were filled in her eyes started to drop little by little.
Georgina was born into a family of a retired all time wrestler and a teacher. She lived her life practicing wrestling, shooting guns and boxing.
Georgina always loved to paint, however, her father immediately threw all her paintings and warned her several times.
“Painting only makes you weak, you have to be strong! Go and do some rounds on the field .”
She recalled her father's constant words which sang like a national anthem to her. He refused her schooling and kept her locked up in a dark basement with only one candle lit up every night.
Felix examined Georgina as she spoke out her true mind. What kind of father turns a girl into a boy? And forces her to learn what she hates the most.
“You do not know what I am even talking about so why explain further ” She cuts herself from her past, pours whiskey into her cup and drinks it in one go.
It tasted bitter to her taste buds. She spat it out and cried more. Even her best drink tasted terrible in her mouth when she was sad.
“It is okay. I will help you drink ” Felix took the same glass used by her and drank half of the bottle for her. “You are right. This is bitter. ”
“Then stop drinking and do you realize that you used the same cup as me? That is disgusting, never do that again.”
Felix took no offense to her statement since she was not at her normal self. He smiled at the bitter woman and when he was caught, Georgina held him on his neck.
“Why are you smiling? ” She jokingly asks and rests her head on his shoulders.
“I have never seen you like this before. You know the first time I saw you, I felt intimidated at your appearance and feisty mouth. You just gave off all this mafia vibe, but now I am seeing you all so blue, I am quite shocked .” He spoke out and turned to her reply but only saw a sleeping woman on his shoulders.
Her thick makeup and eyeliner were already dripping from her face and were replaced with her natural face.
“Georgina? You can not sleep here ”
“Hey!” He raised her cheeks up. “Oh damn it, why all this trouble?” Felix lifted her up and took her home.
.................
The Next Day..........
“Are you seriously leaving us?” Cooper hopped on her while refusing to let go.
The news of Georgina resigning from the Squad took everyone into an unending shock and the most horrific thing was that she was going to stay with her parents for the meantime.
“Georgina, there is obviously something you are not telling us. Why did you suddenly resign? And now, you are going back to your parent's house, you are being weird today .” Audie added. There was something really wrong somewhere.
First the broken arm incident and now, their sister and best fighter resigned without their knowing and even planned to run home.
“Oh come on! Not that I am dying or something. Just going back to my home town. It has been a long time and I am sure that my mom would be dying to see me ” She finished packing her clothes, accessories and some items in her bag. She zipped up the traveling bag and rolled it down the stairs.
“Then let me go with you. I have not tasted your mother's cooking for a long time ” Cooper who still was unwilling to let go of her.
His baby sister would be going and he could not stand staying in the base without her.
“You have many personal chefs, you lazy bones. Let go off me or I cut your balls in half and cook it right in front of you ”
“Not my babies! Sis, you are so harsh!” Cooper whined and let go when he saw she was not joking in any manner.
“Let me drop you, Georgina. ” Audie grabbed his keys and helped her take her bags outside. “A cab?”
He was in awe seeing that Georgina did not have any intentions to use her car.
“That.....you know what my father is gonna be like. He hates me being more successful at his unfinished career than him .” She laughs out loud, tells the driver to open the boot and puts the bags into the cab.
“Call me when you get there, okay?”
“I will. and keep an eye on my pit bull, feed him every day and bathe him. Do not forget, he is pretty arrogant when it is bath time, so be careful ” Georgina blew a kiss at the two men who waved her goodbye as the car began to drive off.
She faced the window and breathed out. Georgina could not recall the last time she left the house in a cab.
Usually, it was normally either with her car or with the two men's car. She felt a little uncomfortable letting someone else drive her but she had a reason.
The ringtone of her phone made her snap out of her thoughts as she accepted the call.
“Cooper, did I not tell you to not call me till I get there? ” She sighed and replied to the phone call when it connected through.
“Get where? I am Felix and not Copper ”
“Felix? When did you get my number and why is your number saved on my phone?”
After that night, his identity was revealed by him and which gave Georgina more excuse to run to her hometown.
“You have not answered my question. Where are you going?”
“Do I have to remind you that we are not related in any way so I do not need to report my movements to you ”
“I thought........” Felix thought that after that night, they had gained some intimate connection and she perhaps took him for a friend but his thought was shattered at her sudden words.
“You thought what? That I was going to forgive you after kissing and running away? Look, Mr. He, I am someone who holds grudges even after death so do not think since you apologize, I will be friends with you ”
“Georgina, how many times would I explain to you that it was an accident? I was being chased and luckily, I hid where you were and upon hearing footsteps, I turned you around and by accident our lips touched. It was not a full kiss ”
“You are not the one to justify that. I am the one that suffered from......Oh Well, why explain? I am busy so we would talk later ”
Georgina cut the call, kept her phone on airplane mood, rested her head on the chair and let the driver take her to her destination.
Two hours later.
“Madam, we gave reached”
Georgina shook her head, came down from the cab while dragging her traveling bag behind her. Georgina removed her sunglasses and breathed in.
Silence and fresh air was what she misses the most in her unending life. She walked into their path line and knocked on the door.
Her mother, Marylene pulled her into a hug and when she yelped, she let her go.
“You have a broken arm? How did that happen? ”
