Chapter 57: A Whole other World She Was Sure
Bianca was shocked by all the emotion that when she pulled back she scowled at the both of them. The look was everything that was inside her head, so with that she grabbed her purse and keys out of her room off the back of the door. She told Nevaeh to meet her at the truck “It’s started and unlocked go ahead and jump in I’ll be there in a minute.” Bianca waited for the door to close and Nevaeh to pass by the window before she said a word. “I want to thank you both for at least one good morning and hoping for evening as well. I know I won’t expect it to always be like this but right now it feels like we’re a family” she said as she could see the tears well up in her mother’s eyes and the confusion on Marco’s face. “Yes, Marco even you, today it’s almost like you’re a normal human being…hehe” she knew that was the wrong thing to say the moment she said it.
To her surprise Marco gave her a wolfish grin “Well you better join your friend hun don’t keep the girls waiting any longer” he said before opening the side door and holding it opened for her. As Bianca closed the side door from the kitchen behind her she was finally able to take in a refreshing breath. Once she made her way to the truck and hoping right in, she grabbed Nevaeh’s face and planted a big wet sloppy kiss on her lips. She turned on the radio to a low tone before she backed out of the driveway and looked to Nevaeh trying to find the words to explain how she was feeling and the words about the gift she was wearing around her neck. “Nevaeh beautiful angel I don’t know how to explain all this, but again thank you for the necklace. It already means more to me then you’ll ever know. Ugh damn it what am I trying to say… I guess it’s this it feels like I’m someone’s property I mean it has your name on it. Then you have one that has my name on it, what is that you are expecting? Because you already know that well you shouldn’t expect much. I’m a lost soul and I don’t know if I will ever have a normal life.”
Nevaeh tried to speak, but when she tried Bianca put her hand over her mouth. “Don’t Please I am already the property of my mother and Marco. If and when I can ever get away I will for once and for all be free from this nightmare and I can’t promise anyone anything right now. The only thing I can promise is that I will carry this with me wherever I go and think of you always.” She turned out of the driveway and headed to Joy’s house and didn’t really want to talk any more or even hear what Nevaeh had to say. She popped in the cd she loved and turned it up, as they rode in silence besides the music playing around them. Bianca finally turned it down when they were about halfway to Joys place. She decided to tell Nevaeh a few more things “look one more thing these girls are crazy girly girls, and they judge everyone and it’s just who they are so please deal with it for me. Also, my mother and Marco questioned me about our relationship and how we met… so um I told them I met you at the clinic that you umm followed and stalked me at… hahah and that we’ve known each other for about a year now. So, if they decide to question you tonight well if you are coming tonight that is. They also think you travel for work which I have really No idea what you do so just go with it please. If they do ask you anything try mixing it up a little don’t make it like a play by play of what I just told you and what I’ve already told them. Because truthfully they are not stupid at all” she reminded her.
Bianca waited for Nevaeh to respond to some kind of understanding and when minutes went by with not even a look in Bianca’s direction Nevaeh just shook her head and looked out the window. Bianca didn’t know what else to say to make Nevaeh feel any different than what she was feeling already. “Damn it, Nevaeh this is a complicated situation already and it is only getting more complicated as the day and nights go by. If you still want to see me and be a part of my life of what I can offer than we have to come to some kind of understanding of how this will work” she was always honest with Nevaeh. Nevaeh turned to her and had tears running down her face “I would wait until the end of time for you angel if that, is what it took. However, since you brought up the whole thing of me and where I am from and what I do there is something I should tell you…. But I don’t believe now is the right time” she confessed. Nevaeh went back to looking out the window and crying as Bianca turned up the music and got lost in the lyrics of the song that was playing by Hinder “Lips of an angel”.
5 minutes later Bianca pulled up to Joy’s house and got out “Stay here I will be right back” and as she closed the door and made her way up the steps to the front door it swung open so fast, she almost fell right in. She was shocked to see Joys mother Shaunny standing there with a big smile and her arms wide open. Bianca figured what the hell and gave her a hug “Hi Shaunny how are you?” “Oh, honey Happy 17th birthday, goodness I remember when you were a little itty bitty thing and now you girls are all grown up. How is your day going so far and how is your mom and Marco doing? Brian and I haven’t seen them in a while….” “Well actually they are quite busy getting ready for my party this evening and I guess they have decided to do a whole weekend out of it go figure. I think the rest is more for them and their friends hah-aha” she said with a tight smile trying to fight back the bile in her throat. “Oh, yes they sure know how to throw a good socialite event, we’ve got our invites right here on the table next to the door. We’ve already rsvp ’ed and can’t wait. Well the girls are just about ready” Shaunny yelled up the stairs and informed the girls that Bianca was in fact waiting for them and they needed to hurry their behinds up.
