Chapter 58: The Long Day Ahead
Bianca smiled “Ya, girls shake a leg I don’t have all day so if you are not down here in 30 seconds, I’m leaving without you” as soon as the sentence was out they all came running down the stairs like a stampede of hungry little kittens . Bianca waited as they all single handily hugged her tight and wished her a happy birthday. She smiled “Thank you girls but real quick before we head out I have a friend with me someone you’ve never met. She doesn’t go to school with us, but actually I met her at one of my Dr. appointments and she’s awesome so please be nice. She does have a burn scar that takes up the whole left side of her face and she will most likely have her premade mask on that fits her face. She’s not scary looking at all, so again be nice.” Bianca waited for some snotty remarks from them and when nothing was said she looked to Joys mother Shaunny “Thanks for letting Joy spend the day with me and if you’d like you can come meet Nevaeh as well due to that she is 25 years old and an adult.”
Shaunny shook her head and agreed to come and meet Nevaeh just to make sure everyone would be alright and also to be polite knowing her daughter could be a total bitch. They all followed behind Bianca and as Bianca looked back at them, they looked to be a little nerves “What the hell you all look freaking nerves like she is going to look like some kind of animal or something. Geez just chill out would you.” As they got closer, they could see a tall, beautiful women setting in the passenger seat smiling at them all. “She doesn’t look scary at all, and the mask is kind of sexy actually” Amanda said as they all started laughing. Bianca could see through the window that Nevaeh was now frowning “Oh good god she thinks their laughing at her” she thought to herself. Bianca waved her hand to tell Nevaeh to get out of the truck and say hello to them. Once Nevaeh climbed out of the truck Shaunny was the first one to hug and welcome her to the group “You are beautiful tall and just wow, so if you don’t mind me asking what happened to your face??” , “OMG Shaunny I said no questions geez” Bianca said. “No, No it’s fine angel. I sustained it in a motorbike accident face met pavement….hahaha” Nevaeh said. A second later she shook the other girls hands “This is such an honor to meet all Bianca’s close friends” she said.
Bianca waited for all of them to finish talking so that they could finally get going and when it seemed to never end she finally had, had enough. “Girls, girls it’s now 10:15 we need to get going I have to make another stop before we hit the mall so let’ get going please.” They all piled in, and Bianca waved out the window to Shaunny, and headed out the driveway to the country line rd. They all rode in silence for a bit before Nevaeh started chatting up the girls. Before Bianca knew it, they had all became more comfortable with one another. Amanda started talking about Jamie the guy she had been seeing for over six months. She asked Neveah if she thought she should get a mask and set up some kind of kinky thing for him. Once it was out Bianca winced and just kept her eyes on the road hoping that no one was paying attention. “You alright B you seem to be all over the place today, and damn it, it’s your birthday so cheer up” Amanda demanded. “Oh, yea by the way Nevaeh that mask is fucking hot on you it is all kinds of grrrr” she added.
As the truck was filled with laughter it brought warmth to Bianca’s heart, she was starting to feel a little better and was actually starting to enjoy her day. She pulled down Victoria Rd towards mama’s house and once in the driveway the girls looked up with a smile “What are we doing here at mama’s place B?” They asked. Bianca didn’t answer right away just got out of the truck and before closing the door leaned in. “Stay here I just have to pick up a list for shopping for Mrs. Mama and I’ll be right back” she promised as she closed the door. She could see that the girls went back to talking to Nevaeh and with Nevaeh starring at Bianca the entire time as she walked towards the front of the house. Once Bianca was up the stairs Nevaeh turned and faced the girls “So, who is this Mama lady?” She asked and waited for the girls to answer. Joy, Amanda, and Stephanie looked at one another and then back at Nevaeh. “She’s a little old lady who I guess used to be a nurse and her husband a doctor. Ummm and Bianca helps her out since mama doesn’t have any family close by. If you know Bianca at all she is just that kind of person to help anyone and well to be honest she’s a way better person, then any of us” Stephanie said with a smile on her face.
Nevaeh smiled and shook her head thinking “Well they are defiantly not wrong about that” she admitted to herself. Stephanie decided she would ask Nevaeh a few questions too “So what is a 25 year old woman doing hanging around a 17 year old girl anyways? Are you some kind of weirdo who is a lesbo or something…” all the girls started laughing. Nevaeh laughed as well “No nothing like that I met Bianca at the clinic and well we just hit it off from there. As for the lesbo part yes I am a lesbian and well mine and Bianca’s relationship is complicated” as soon as Nevaeh said it she regretted it. The girls looked at one another and spoke in unison “BB is not a lesbian, she might be bi-sexual but no way she’s straight lipstick..ha-ha.” Nevaeh just stared out the windshield rolling her eyes “No, no that’s not what I meant, look lets’ just keep this little conversation to the 4 of us please” she asked of them. They all sat in silence until Bianca returned. “One more thing can you please turn on the radio so we all don’t fell so awkward?” Joy begged.
Bianca made her way into Mama’s house with a little knock and used the key that was up on the ledge above the door, knowing mama didn’t move to fast these days. She didn’t want to have to keep the girls waiting. Once inside she was met by Mrs. Mama as she made it halfway down the hall towards the kitchen. “Morning Mama sorry to just show up like this but I just wanted to speak with you for a few minutes I am heading to the mall for the day… long story but today is my birthday and well I am going to go and try and have a good day with my girlfriends” she informed her. Mama hugged her and wished her a very happy birthday “Come on in dear just eating my breakfast and reading the paper.” They went to the kitchen and Bianca went to the table opening up her purse and Mama sat there, eyes wide open and a little confused for a minute. That was until Bianca took out a band of hundreds that read $20,000. “I just need you to add this to the money I’ve already given you and just keep it safe for me please. I don’t have time to explain everything else but all I need you to know that if something should happen it’s yours” she said heading for the cabinet. Bianca didn’t want to show any emotion knowing if she did she’d have a complete break down and right now was not the time.
