Chapter 62: The Stop Before Home

Tyler stepped in front of Bianca when she went red as blood in the face and when she started pushing Tyler to get him to move that’s when Nevaeh jumped out of the truck and ran over to the group. Joy, Amanda, and Stephanie all had their mouths opened and when they finally came back down from whatever cloud they were on they jumped to Bianca’s side and pulled her back towards the truck. Bianca was shaking and red as blood still as the girls got her back to her truck and inside. “What the fuck B what the hell is he talking about?” they all asked at once. Bianca couldn’t take it anymore “look girls I don’t have time to explain the story, but he’s not all wrong about my mother.” She took in a deep breath “Well now I guess you now know why I’m never a loud to have anyone over and it’s not because my mother and Marco won’t let me it’s that I would never want to put you girls in any situation. Well like I said it’s a long story, so I better get to Mrs. Mama’s and then home before I kill someone.” Stephanie grabbed Bianca and held her tight and whispered, “This is not over we’ve all been friends since we were in damned diapers, and I can’t believe you’ve been hiding this shit from us.” Bianca pulled away and gave her a look of death and closed the door waiting for Nevaeh to drive away.
Nevaeh didn’t say a word as they headed back towards Mamas and Bianca was thankful for at least someone was letting her have a quiet moment to herself. “I can’t believe that his stupid ass made a comment about my mother” she muttered to herself. Nevaeh placed her hand next to Bianca’s on the seat and waited for any sign that it was okay. When Bianca looked at her and had tears running down her cheeks Nevaeh finished pulling into Mrs. Mama’s driveway and stopped the truck, putting it in park. Nevaeh got out of the truck and retrieved the bags from the back and waited for Bianca to get out and join her. After about 30 seconds and after Bianca had wiped her face and checked her face and makeup in the mirror, she was ready to face mama.
Bianca and Nevaeh made their way up the steps and were greeted by Mrs. Mama when she opened the door and stepped aside to let them come in with her bags. “I see we have a new comer with you dear”, “yes mama hope it’s alright I have had a long day already and just needed a little extra help to get everything in to you.” Mama smiled and welcomed them both with open arms even though mama had given a look to Nevaeh. She of course could see that she was wearing a mask on half of her face and a little of the scar showing at the top of it. Mama didn’t question it but had the two join her in the kitchen, “Bianca dear I do need to speak with you for a minute in private though if you don’t mind, no offense Nevaeh dear but don’t know you and just want to be careful.” Nevaeh smiled and shook her head indicating it was alright and knew that she’d feel the same way if this was her home, and it was some stranger she’d never met before.
Bianca placed the bags on the table and asked if Nevaeh could at least just unbag them and set everything either on the counter or on the table for her to put away when she came back. “No problem angel” she replied as she watched as Bianca walked to the den with Mrs. Mama. Once they were both inside the den Mama closed the door behind them. Mama went and turned on the light that sat on the mahogany desk that sat facing the far side of the room next to the window. “Wow this is an amazing room and view when setting at the desk” she said as she sat down at the desk. Mama didn’t mind one bit and joined her on the couch that sat directly next to the desk, “Dear girl you have a lot going on and you look so tired it’s not healthy.” Bianca just stared out the window and as she slowly turned in the chair and let her sweater slowly come down around her and stood. “Now mama I’m about to show you something but I need you to wait to say anything until I am finished and I’ve sat back down okay?” she begged.
Bianca waited for mama to respond and when she shook her head indicating she understood. Bianca then unbuttoned her jeans and let then slowly fall the floor and took off her tank top and slowly turned around in a 360 once complete. She then pulled up her pants and put her shirt back on; Bianca sat back in the chair and faced Mama. As mama was still just sitting there silent, but this time tears running down her face she slowly got up off the couch. She made her way to Biancas’ side and just ran her fingers through her hair “I’m not sure what I’m supposed to say except that if there is anything you need, a place to stay or just whatever it might be… I am here and there is a hidden key out there and you already know where it is.” Bianca was so happy that she didn’t want all the details and didn’t know if she could even get out the words of what was going on.
Bianca did decide though to just make sure that Mama didn’t say anything to anyone “I just ask that you keep this between us because I can’t afford anyone to take any more notice then they already have. One of these days I will explain everything to you but right now I just don’t have enough time right now.” Mama shook her head in agreement “The reason I wanted to speak with you is that I have your money all together in safe keeping and I have decided to put it in the underground cell I have.” Bianca looked at mama with confusion and as mama helped Bianca to her feet, she pushed the chair out from behind the desk and pushed a book against the bookshelf. One that had been placed so perfectly and when it was pushed it brought half the bookshelf forward and then to the right.
Once the shelf was completely open there was a little hallway and then a door that had 6 different locks on it and then a finger print scanner at the remaining lock to actually unlock the steel door. Mama finished opening the door and when the door was completely opened lights automatically came on and led down towards the ground. As mama led the way Bianca had to take a double take once at the bottom of the stairs. It was like a whole other house underground with doors to other rooms and as Mama went down the long hall to the door at the very end. She opened it with the scanning of her whole hand. After walking through the door Bianca couldn’t believe her eyes of what she was looking at a computer monitors, surveillance and a board that looked like just a big piece of glass hanging from the ceiling. Bianca’s mind was just boggled and Mama looked at her with a smile “No need to worry about all this right now my dear, but maybe sometime next week you can come by and we can discuss this further. What I wanted to show you was this” and after mama finished she put her hand up to the blank wall and the wall slid open. “You’ve got to be kidding me mama what where you and Papa some kind of spies or something?” she asked. After Mama turned around with a weird look on her face Bianca just shut up and waited for mama to say something.
Mama turned back around and once more placed her hand on a huge ass safe and 10 seconds later the door opened and she pulled open the door all the way. The safe had revealed another hall that was about 20 feet deep and shelves on each side which was holding loads of money. Mama stepped inside and waited for Bianca to join her. As Bianca’s mouth just stayed open and she slowly came to just the front of the door she saw that there was more money there in that safe then she had ever seen in her lifetime. “This is the thing dear this is one of my many safes I have through my home and the property that this house sets on. I have your money on this shelf right here and you are welcome to keep adding whenever you need too, but there is one thing we need to get out of the way. Like I said before we don’t have enough time to go into it, but here lets’ get out of here and I will tell you a little as we climb the stairs back to the top so we don’t leave your friend waiting to long” she said leading the way.
As Mama closed up all the doors and they headed back up to the top mama told Bianca that she would need her fingerprints and hands prints. Bianca was a little confused and scared at the same time mama had calmed her by the time they made it to the top. “Now Bianca this will all make perfect since once you know the whole story and I am hoping that can happen sooner rather than later” mama said as they finally made their way into the kitchen where they found Nevaeh sitting and waiting at the table. “Sorry it took so long Nevaeh dear I had to discuss some important things with Bianca here and I appreciate you helping her out with my groceries. I see you’ve also put most of the things away so thank you again.” Nevaeh looked to Bianca and then to Mama “Not a problem ma’am it was my pleasure. If you don’t mind me saying you have a wonderful home of what I’ve seen just from the kitchen and the living room.” Mama smiled and Bianca gave mama a hug and kiss and told her she’d be seeing her again soon. Mama walked the girls out to the porch and watched them as they safely made their way down the drive.
