As a Deity
*Chapter 113*
"The prophecy about the spirit goddesses?" Except for Alpha King Azarius, Frederick's brothers said in unison, shocked. "You are one of them?!" they asked.
I nodded my head. "Indeed, I am." Ah, yes.
The prophecy about the arrival of the spirit goddesses was first known by the divine priests and priestess from the temple and it was relayed to the royal lycan family.
The other kingdoms were also aware of this fact. Even their offspring must be bound to know about the prophecy.
Frederick made me turn at him. "What? What do you mean? Y-You have deity blood?" he asked, horrified.
"Yes..."
Frederick was about to say something but then, the woman who I knew was my older sister spoke. "I would like to introduce myself and my sister over here. Would that be possible, Prince Atticus?" she asked.
I shivered when she was looking at Frederick like she knew that he did something terrible. Her tone changed into a hostile one as well. That made Frederick fall silent.
"Noblete, I am Ragriel, the first daughter, and I am known as the Goddess of Mate Bond," she introduced.
"What is your mundane name?" I asked as I finally grasped everything. Father said before that I have two names. One was my deity name, Noblete. The other was the mundane name, Novalie.
She smiled sheepishly. "Well..." she paused and glanced at the man beside him. "I am well known as the first woman who entered the military and the 25th General who led the Auritaurie war in the Waevalon Kingdom. I am—"
"You are Luna Queen Rachelle Simon?!" I said out loud and didn't finish her to say her words.
She chuckled, nodding. "Indeed. I am quite flattered that you know me already."
"Are you kidding me?" I looked at her in disbelief. "I am a big fan of yours! You are the first female werewolf who broke the mindset of your kingdom's people that a woman can also join the military. You became a commander in a short span of time and after earning merits, you became a General. Then, you married..." I paused and looked beside her. "Dear me... A-Are you Alpha King Claudian Alexander IV of the Waevalon Kingdom?" My mouth couldn't halt from talking as I didn't expect that Luna Queen Rachelle was my older sister.
I never expected that!
He nodded and smiled. "I am. I am your brother-in-law. Just call me, Claude." Then he glanced beside him. "This is our firstborn, Claudian V. Or just call him, Cloudy for short."
"Don't forget about me."
I turned my head when the woman beside Luna Queen Rachelle stood up and waved her hand at me. "Greetings, Noblete. We have finally met."
"You are?" I creased my forehead.
"The name's Isabella Ashdown," she said softly. "I am Iseldis, the second daughter. I am the Goddess of Healing and Hunting."
My eyes widened. "D-Does this mean... we... we are only three?" I asked in surprise. I glanced at Father who also looked at me. "I thought we were more than that since Father said that..." I couldn't continue my words.
"I haven't found the others," Luna Queen Rachelle said with a smile. "For now, I can only say that we are more than three. Isn't it exciting?"
"Love," Alpha King Claudian said. "We are not in our palace."
She jumped to her feet when my other older sister named Isabella chuckled while she smiled wryly looking at the de Carteret royal family.
"My apologies, Alpha King Azarius. I must have shown a discourtesy," she said apologetically before she returned from seating.
Alpha King Azarius chuckled and shook his head. "The royal lycan family has been expecting for the arrival of the daughters of the Moon Goddess as soon as this prophecy had been passed down to us. Until now, we are still surprised that you admitted to us that you have been looking for them," he said in a polite tone.
Alucard raised his hand. "Does this mean that there's more of you? And you are all from different fathers and only have one mother, our Moon Goddess, Your Majesty?"
I turned at Frederick who settled beside me. He still had this creasing forehead. I didn't think that would be gone any moment now that he knew who I really was that only Father knew.
"Yes, we are. Mother does not have only one mate but some selective male werewolves as her mates," she answered. "Perhaps like Dowager Marquis Argerich. She is our mother's third mate." She nodded her head at my father.
"Your Majesty, is it possible I can meet Her again?" Father had a longing tone smeared with his voice. I knew... I knew for a very long time that he had been longing for Mother so much. I always caught him looking at the moon every night.
Luna Queen Rachelle nodded. "Of course. She has been wanting to see you, too, Dowager Marquis."
Father gasped softly and smiled. "Glad to know that..." he said in an almost inaudible tone.
"Is this supposed to be a secret and must not be revealed to our subjects?" Alejandro asked. He still had a flabbergasted look of flabbergasted on his face. "Shouldn't we reveal to them the prophecy about the arrival of the spirit goddesses?"
Alistair was the one who answered. "Luna Queen Rachelle said earlier that they can only reveal about their arrival if they are complete already, Ale."
"Hmm. Alpha King Azarius is right, Prince Alejandro. In time, we must not hurry. Mother will help me lead them." Then she glanced at me. "That includes you, Noblete. I found your message in one of your..." she paused, didn't want to continue her words. She knew that I was a painter.
"Do you know about her other hobbies?" Frederick asked as he was being cautious with her.
Luna Queen Rachelle grinned. "Of course. She has been looking for us, Prince Atticus. I also know how you made my sister cry back to those days you were engaged with her," she said coldly.
I shivered when I heard a hostility in them. "He only did what he thought was right at that time, Luna Queen Rachelle," I said.
She looked at me. "Just call me Rachelle, Ragriel, or Sister." She winked and returned his gaze back to Frederick. "It is a disgrace that you hurt one of the daughters of the Moon Goddess, Prince Atticus." She stood up and slowly walked toward us. "I cannot accept that. Neither is my mother."
Mother Luna Queen Adeline stood up. "Please, Luna Queen Rachelle. Please do not punish my son..."
Grand Alpha King Apollo stood up as well. "Please spare him. You can punish me instead for I pushed the engagement between Nigelle's daughter and my son from our deceased fathers, Luna Queen Rachelle."
"Sister..." I spoke, worried.
Frederick stepped forward. "What punishment shall I receive, Your Majesty?" he asked in an earnest tone.
"Frederick..." I shook my head. He must not say that because he didn't know what could've been the capability of my sister to punish someone.
Frederick bestowed me with a reassuring smile. "As long as she will not set us apart, I shall always fight for you, Novalie."
I held my breath, hearing my heart palpitate so fast with his words. My wolf reacted to that as well, wanting to purr right now.
"How sweet..." Rachelle smiled from ear to ear. "As much as I like your nobility, brother-in-law, pardon me but I shall see if you are still befitting to be Novalie's mate." My eyes widened when she was reaching her sword from her belt holster.
"Ragriel!" I stepped forward, shaking my head. "Please do not resort to this. I always hated the idea that people always try to hurt Frederick," I stated, shielding Frederick behind me.
"Novalie." I heard his raspy breath behind me.
I took his sword from his scabbard as well and pointed it toward Rachelle. "I am afraid that even though this is our reunion, I am not going to tolerate that you will hurt my mate," I threatened.
Rachelle exchanged her ocean blue eyes between me and Frederick. Then she glanced at Alpha King Azarius. "Looks like Claude and I won in our bet, Alpha King Azarius."
"What?" Frederick and I said in unison.
Claude chuckled. "It looks like it, Rachelle." He grinned and glanced at Alpha King Azarius who was frowning right now. "How's that, Azarius?"
Alpha King Azarius shook his head, looking at us with disappointment and amusement. "Here I am expecting that Atticus shall end up in the infirmary for injuries but I was wrong. My sister-in-law stepped forward to protect him. Shame..." He chuckled. "I admit, I lost in this bet."
"What is that supposed to mean?" Frederick asked, looking annoyed right now.
It was Rachelle who answered, "Claude and I's bet is that Novalie will halt me not to hurt you and instead, she will do anything to protect you. You shall be lucky for I shall spare you and reconsider the actions you did in the past," she uttered.
That was somehow making me relieved somehow. I put down the sword and glanced at Frederick who also looked relieved. His eyes met mine as he smiled at me.
When I returned my gaze back to the front, I gasped when Rachelle was already in front of me. She was so quick in her approach, I didn't notice.
"Open your hands, Noblete," she said, smiling brightly.
"Why?" I asked, perplexed. But I still did what she said and opened my palms.
She bestowed me with a small rectangular box. "Open it."
I nodded. My eyes widened when I came to see a red moon necklace. "Wow..." I uttered in surprise.
"That is the galaxy moon necklace, Noblete. It is our Mother's gift to each of us."
I gawked at her. "T-This is mine?" Rachelle nodded. "This is beautiful..." My breath was shaky right now seeing the color of it. "And my favorite color is here..."
She giggled. "Mother knows our favorites. She knew that you were going to like it. You can use that when you wish to communicate with her."
My jaw dropped. "I could communicate with her?"
"Uh-huh." She glanced at the necklace before she showed the galaxy moon necklace that she was wearing on her neck. The color was sherbet pink. "Sometimes, I can communicate with her even without this. Mother said that my powers are developing."
"How about Iseldis?" I asked when Isabella stood up and walked towards us.
"Here is mine." She showed her neck with the blue color of the galaxy moon necklace.
My eyes widened in fascination. I didn't expect that I would get to see them in every color.
"I really thought the galaxy moon necklace is just a myth, Claudian." I heard Alpha King Azarius say.
"Indeed. But we witnessed here that they came from our Moon Goddess. Her name is..."
"Lunaria," Father chimed in. I caught him smiling when he mentioned that name.
Claudian nodded, smiling. "Yes. Lunaria is our Moon Goddess' name."
I snapped back when Rachelle held my hand. "It is our duty to experience hardships, Novalie. Your task is to experience various hardships in marriage due to your sobriquet as the Goddess of Marriage. I believe your father told you that."
I released a sigh and glanced at my father who looked away. I nodded my head. "He is..." He told me a very long time about my fate of being a daughter of the Moon Goddess. It was the reason why he kept settling me in different marriages and even agreed to the arranged marriage between me and Frederick.
"We are born as the witnesses of the world She created. All of us are bound to experience different kinds of emotions, challenges, difficulties, and discrimination like what an individual experiences here," Isabella explained with a soft tone.
"When the time is right," I paused and looked at her. "We are also bound to return to the celestial world to serve by her side and be the spirit goddesses." That was our purpose.
That was the reason why we were here. As the Goddess of Marriage, it was important that I needed to experience being married by force and being married to my mate. That was why I experienced being in a failed engagement with Frederick and a failed marriage with Reginald.
And now, a marriage with Frederick.
"Correct." Rachelle nodded.
"How about her mates?" I inhaled sharply when Frederick spoke. "Are we also bound to suffer to be left here when you return to the Moon Goddess' side?" I glanced at him.
"Yes," Rachelle, Isabella, and I said in unison.
At that moment, I could tell that Frederick was unhappy with it. With the way he was clenching his hands, I knew that he would disagree with it.
"No, I am not going to allow it!" Frederick said in a thundering voice.
