Spilled
*Chapter 7*
I was busy handling the account records and calculating the monthly budget for the pack when the door of my study room suddenly swung open. I sighed seeing Reginald on my peripheral vision.
Then he threw a telegram to my desk in a snappish manner. When I glanced at it, I saw the invitation letter from Lady Bouvron.
"That tea party is today, Reginald. Pick a nice, expensive suit to impress your future mate," I said and glanced away from the letter.
Reginald hissed. "You are the one being invited here, Novalie. Why must you bestow this letter to me?"
I rolled my eyes. "Didn't Heimon tell you the reason two days ago and you are only confronting me now? Do I need to keep on repeating myself?" I asked, feeling my blood boil each second he would stay here in my study room.
He scoffed. "How can you be so sure that my mate would be there?"
"Use your head, asshole." I looked up and placed the quill pen on the holder. "Of course, you need to go there to see if your mate is there. You're so dumb."
"Watch your insults at me, Novalie," Reginald said, growling.
"Aww... You're offended because it is true." I smirked. "Don't you agree with me, Frederick?" I looked at Frederick who was standing in all fours as his head was lowered to the floor.
I came to see his handsome face when he looked up and met my eyes. "Y-Yes, my goddess."
Glancing at Reginald, he had a sour expression and a look of disgust at him. "Damn it... You are not going to cast away him, Novalie?!" He raised his voice.
"Keep raising your voice." My voice was masked with sarcasm. "I think our neighboring pack didn't hear you clearly." I was indicating the Silver Flute pack that was five minutes away from the Lone Crow pack. Silver Ortigas, Baron of Niekro, was the Alpha of that pack. He was friends with Reginald—more likely childhood friends since their deceased parents were best of friends back then.
The visible angry veins on his forehead were telling me to keep on making him mad. Seeing how Reginald's nose flaring up like a mad bull was enough that I am an effective individual to keep on making him like that.
"Get him out! Or I will throw him away from my pack!" I didn't flinch when he slammed my desk causing the ink to spill through the parchment where I was writing a calculation for the monthly budget. Reginald gasped and looked at me with a horrifying expression.
He must have seen how my face darkened.
I stood up, getting angry at his rascal. "Do you know how many days I spent writing the budget, Reginald?" I asked sweetly as I turned around to approach him.
"Novalie... I..." Reginald stepped backward when I took the dagger from my thigh holster. He knew that there was wolfsbane coated in it.
"I am asking you a question, Regy." Through gritted teeth when I spoke, Reginald knew that I already had enough of him. I positioned the knife, holding it in a backhand one. Taking strides towards him was enough that I am holding a dominating aura than him.
Look how frightened Reginald was. He glanced behind me where Frederick stood up and cleaned up the mess after bestowing him a signal earlier.
"Novalie..." His voice was shaking in nervousness.
"The Luna of your pack spent three days to write the upcoming monthly budget for the next quarter in that parchment." Having a dazzling smile on my lips screams danger. Reginald had seen me angry and acting like a spoiled brat at the same time.
He was traumatized that was for sure based on his expression right now.
"Regy, that budget is for the last quarter of the year. Do you know how to compensate that mess?" Oh, the sweet sound of my voice was indicating how dangerous I was right now.
"I-I will do anything... Just... You have to calm down..." Reginald was panicking when his back hit the wall.
Growling a warning, I used my wolf speed and choked Reginald's neck as I pushed him back to lean against the wall. Then I pointed the blade of the dagger near to his eye, closed to take his precious ocean blue eye. There was a frightening expression plastered on his face causing me to grin.
"Novalie—"
"Why are you scared of your wife?" I tilted my head, looking at him innocently. "You are an Alpha so you shouldn't be scared from someone who is lowered down your rank..." I even pouted my lips. However, I pressed the tip of the blade near to the corner of his eye. "Allow me to gouge out that eye of yours since you made a mess on my table, Reginald Westervelt."
"Novalie... I-I will fix it—"
"I even have to repeat making a new budgeted financial statement because of you!" I shouted angrily and tightened the hold that was on his neck.
The frightening expression he was showing right now was making me smile more. This man... I could kill him in an instant... I could do that right now and even gouge out his majestic eye.
I spent three damn days calculating the budgeted financial statement. I even had to repeat the calculation from the cash flow statement because I made a mistake at that time. It was closed to finish yet this scatterbrained Alpha and Viscount of Erast slammed my desk causing the ink for my quill pen to spill to the documents!
I am close to killing him already and started a war between the Lone Crow pack and the House of Argerich.
"How will you compensate for that, Reginald?!"
I was about to stab his eye when Reginald spoke all of a sudden. "Alright, alright! I will attend Lady Bouvron's tea party! I will rewrite the budgeted financial statement and have your approval!" he screamed. "Are they enough to compensate for the spilled ink of the parchments I caused?!"
I closed our faces to each other. "Not enough. You need to add divorcing our marriage as well." I smirked.
Reginald growled back. "No. I cannot let you do that. Your father and I have an agreement," he said sternly.
Looking at his eyes, I saw the expression that he wouldn't just divorce our marriage already. I stepped back after releasing his neck and put down my hand that was holding the dagger.
"Prepare for the tea party then." I gestured my head, specifying that he must leave now. "Scoot. Your fusty smell is intolerable. Off you go." I smiled wryly as I rolled my eyes.
Reginald fixed the lapel of his suit before he huffed arrogantly. "You bitch..." He stormed out of my study room after that.
When I was left alone, feeling the strong presence of Frederick who was already behind me, I dropped the dagger, hearing the clanging sound of the metal hitting the wooden floor. Then I walked straight to the couch and sat there, feeling exhausted all of a sudden.
I heaved out a heavy sigh. I was planning to go out to shop for some new clothes for Frederick this afternoon but my energy to go out had drained me by arguing with Reginald again. I was so annoyed and irritated that I need to vex my anger at him.
It was his fault after all.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, wanting to cry because of the overwhelming emotions that poured over a while ago.
"My goddess."
Frederick's alluring scent reached my nostrils. I looked down to see him like a lost puppy seeing him in all fours wearing a simple tunic and trousers.
"What do you want?" I asked in a hostile tone.
I suddenly felt embarrassed that Frederick had to see this vulnerable side of me. My defensive mechanism was to cast him away and act spitefully at him.
Frederick's eyes softened. "If you will permit, can I hold you?"
I inhaled faintly at his question. He was asking permission to hold me... Usually, I would command a slave to lay down next to me, finding comfort in his arms. I wasn't planning to command Frederick like that but his invitation to hold me was making my wolf feel giddy.
I stretched out a small smirk and pet his head. "Come and sit with me." I tapped the space beside me.
Frederick nodded. He stood up and sat. I inhaled sharply when our hands brushed against each other, sending bolts of shudders to my whole body. We both looked at each other after that. Moments later, Frederick opened his arms, inviting me for a hug.
I pushed him to lay on his back that earned him a soft gasp. Grinning, I crawled to him as my wolf and I were feeling skittish and frolicsome. I could even tell the anticipation in Frederick's eyes the moment I was sitting on top of him, grinding the apex of my thighs to his bulging trousers. His hands reached for my waist before he suddenly pulled me down so he could take me to his arms.
I used his chest as my pillow and laid my head there. "Aren't you feeling a little dauntless right now, darling?" He was behaving suddenly which made me put up my guard.
For the past few days, he was defying my orders so I punished him by engraving my name to his back using the same dagger I pointed at Reginald earlier. Each time he would defy me, I would engrave one letter of my name. So far, since he defied me three times, only three letters of my name were spelled there.
I didn't hide sniffing his scent which I felt him stiffen from my touch. But then his arms tightened his hold around my waist like he was protecting me from something. I scoffed in my mind because he didn't need to feel that way if in case that he was feeling like that.
I didn't need any protection from a man. I was born to protect myself. That is what my father told me that I mustn't rely on any man anymore.
So it could mean that includes him which was great because I couldn't trust my father anymore.
"Frederick."
"Yes, my goddess?"
I shivered and purred. Why did it feel like Frederick was the only slave that was perfect to address me like that? It had been like that a few days since I purchased him but I could almost tell that he was one of my favorite male slaves even though I haven't started indulging myself for the sex I wanted.
"Sit like a wolf later," I commanded.
Frederick stiffened. I raised my head to see him looking surprised. He immediately averted my gaze so he wouldn't dare to meet my eyes.
He knew how much I hated when a man was looking straight at me. It felt like men were belittling me. Ah, yes. There was something about this feeling more than meets the eye. Something was behind this that caused me to hate this kind of looking straight at me.
I grabbed his chin to force him to look at me. "What must you say?" I asked dangerously. "You are just a mere slave so you must agree. You have no rights to protest because I own you in the first place, Frederick. Do you understand me?"
His olive orbs pierced through me causing my stomach to somersault. His orbs looked like a nature that I wanted to stare at for as long as I could.
"Yes, my goddess. Your wish is my command."
I smiled, satisfied at his answer. I laid my head back to his sturdy chest. "I wonder what sort of punishment you would like when you defy me again. Ah, no. Even if you are not defying me, you will receive a punishment." I giggled and reached for his nape. "I can't wait to have fun with you. I can't wait to have your mouth on my cunt pleasuring me as I come and lick me clean, Frederick."
I couldn't help expressing my excitement towards him. It has been a while since I last felt this kind of excitement and enthusiasm.
My wolf teased me because Frederick was our mate which was why he could easily make us arouse just by looking at him.
I raised my head and saw his eyes glowing in lust and desire. I bit my lower lip. I knew it... We were thinking the same. I nibbled his lower lip and pulled his head back by fisting his hair when he tried to kiss me back.
I pulled away when I got to taste his lower lip and got up so I could distance myself away from him. I situated my dress before I could even indulge myself to let Frederick touch me. I remembered that I promised myself to prolong this agony for myself so I could savor and appreciate the ecstasy I would like to feel soon.
When I glanced at Frederick, he had a perplexed look at my action. I approached him and raised my leg to place the sole of my heel shoe to his crotch, pressing a pressure. Frederick hissed in pain and was about to hold my leg with his hands when I glared deadly at him.
"Do it then." I pressed more pressure.
"Stop... That hurts..."
"It hurts? Then why your face says that I should step on you? What a two-faced bitch." I smirked seeing smearing on his face before I stepped back and sighed in relief. "Now that I am in a good mood, I am in need to have some tea."
I reached for the doorknob and was about to open it when I ducked down and balled my hand to punch Frederick's abdomen when he tried to lunge at me. I raised my skirt as I pierced the heel of his chest when he was laying on the ground, holding my dagger.
"You really don't know when to give up, do you? Impressive!" I exclaimed happily before I stepped on his wrist where his hand was holding my dagger so he could release it.
Frederick showed inflicted pain when I pressed the heel of my shoes to his forearm as he looked at me with a death glare.
"You... How did you—"
I pouted, acting like I was pitying him. "Aww... Why do men like you think that you can underestimate me so easily?" I clasped my hands as I blinked innocently. "You are just like Reginald and all the other male slaves I had thought that I am only just a woman that needs to be pleasured and doesn't know how to fight for her own life. I am utterly feeling downcasted, my dear Frederick. You are hurting my feelings," I said dramatically.
I even exaggerated my tone, acting like I was hurt by his attempt to suppress me down just because he had well-built muscles.
Laughing mockingly, I hurt him more which Frederick groan. "You... are a whore!" he said angrily.
