Changing Venue
*Chapter 63*
"Luna."
I turned my head when Heimon arrived. "What?" I said coldly and stopped trimming Frederick's hair.
He bowed first before he spoke. "Alpha Reginald has already planned out the wedding anniversary banquet. However, he is looking for a venue as he told."
Smiling bitterly, I scoffed. "Why can't he just choose this mansion? The renovation is already finished." I rolled my eyes before I went in front of Frederick who was waiting patiently for me to finish trimming his hair.
"Alpha wants to change it. He already has something in his mind."
"And that is?"
"At the Coral Paradise located in Crescent Moon Oceanfront."
"What?!" I growled in annoyance when Heimon mentioned the name of my beach house and my private island.
I was about to bark at him when Reginald appeared out of nowhere. "Such a waste if we are going to celebrate our wedding anniversary, here again, dear wife. I think it is time to change our location. What do you think?" He grinned and crossed his arms over his chest.
I squinted my eyes and gripped tightly the scissors I was holding. "I do not want to hold a banquet at my beach house, Reginald. I am going to use this lean season for my employees from the Argerich Consulting," I said, not wanting to state them bitterly.
"Then it's perfect to even hold it there, isn't it? We can even invite our guests there at the Crescent Moon Oceanfront," he replied nonchalantly. "The more, the merrier, right?"
"You are not the one to decide. Your name isn't included in my vacation house." I arched my eyebrow after calming myself. I even leaned at Frederick and placed my chin on top of his head as I wrapped my hands from behind.
Reginald seemed unbothered at my decision. "Your choice..." He shrugged. "It's a shame that you will have to waste the opportunity to make a good impression with our fellow nobles. You are becoming a Marchioness in your own right, remember? Mustn't you focus on that goal, Novalie?"
I wanted to bark at him. But I couldn't do that when I realized what Reginald was doing. "Ah... You are trying to mess up my head, Regy." I couldn't help making a smile. "Such a cunning method to annoy me, huh."
He was purposely trying to ruin my mood just as I was about to do to him. I have noticed that he was adapting to how I behaved against him.
Smart move but I am smarter than him.
Flashing a smirk, Reginald picked a red rose and destroyed it by squashing it with his own hand. He didn't even mind that his hand was pricked by the thorns. His expression darkened before it melted.
"If I won't get your approval, then I must visit Father and make him convinced about my idea. I am certain that he will support it. After all, I am his favorite son-in-law." Reginald grinned before he took from Heimon the handkerchief being bestowed to him. He wiped the blood. In an instant, his wound healed.
"How dare you even say such words when you have threatened me that you will also retaliate from the loss you experienced I did to the House of Westervelt?"
Reginald shrugged. "It is just a fleeting moment. I couldn't control my emotions back then." He exchanged glances between me and Frederick before he shook his head in disbelief. "Anyway, if I were you, I must agree that we must hold the banquet at the Coral Paradise before I decide to go to Father and convince him of my idea. It shall be to your benefit anyway."
"Benefit, my ass." I rolled my eyes.
"Come on, Novalie. Father will soon pass down his title. Shouldn't you be considerate? Celebrating our wedding anniversary is a good idea that you will expose in the noble society. It is your opportunity to gain more connections."
I silenced, narrowing my eyes a little as I thought about what Reginald said. He might be right about this.
Coral Paradise was such a nice idea to make an impression on our fellow nobles. This was the opportunity I must grab. I have been thinking lately on what ways I must have more connections so I could garner political support from the noble faction.
Having a business wasn't enough. I must socialize with them and pretend that everything was like sugar and rainbows. It was also a good idea to express how intelligent I was despite that I had a ruined image because of my past arranged marriage and because of having concubines despite that, I was a woman.
Sighing, I looked at Reginald. "Fine, you're right this time." I hugged Frederick more which earned him a soft gasp. "Scoot now. You already get what you want, Reginald."
Reginald grinned. "Of course. I must take my leave, dear wife." He winked and left with Heimon.
That wink suddenly made me want to puke.
"M-My goddess...!"
"That asshole... Does he think he's handsome enough to even wink at me?! The nerve of that dimwit..." I said through gritted teeth.
"My... My goddess..."
I ignored Frederick's whim as I felt my blood boiling because I let Reginald win this time around. "Rejoice, for now, Reginald... Rejoice for now..."
"Novalie!"
I flinched and glared at Frederick who looked like he was being suffocated by... me? "Dear me!" I panicked and realized that I locked Frederick's head in my arm. I quickly distanced myself, surprised that I hurt my knight.
Frederick coerced a smile before he massaged his neck. "If I hadn't known better, I could have mistaken that you wished to kill me, my goddess..." He chuckled nervously.
I just huffed and approached him. I even put my leg in between his thighs causing him to jump on his seat. I ignored the growing bulge in between his pants as I made him look at me so I could check if there was a red mark left there.
"I did not expect that Reginald would change the location of the venue to celebrate our wedding anniversary..." I said mindlessly, thinking deeply. "I did not foresee this," I added, keeping caressing Frederick's neck looking at it intently.
"Must we be frightened about this, my goddess?" Frederick asked when his hand landed on my waist to make me feel a tingling sensation flowing to my body. I almost shuddered in his touch which my wolf squirmed and felt in heat right now.
I didn't answer him as I stepped back a little before I combed his hair. Then I continued trimming his hair.
Frederick suddenly asked me to cut his hair this morning when I finished my agenda. It was surprising that he wanted me to do it. I was hesitant at first because I had never done cutting someone's hair but this man trusted me. He even wanted me to be the one to cut his already growing hair.
I had no choice but to agree when he pleaded. That was why we ended up here in the greenhouse garden to do the trimming and cutting his hair.
"What he said is a plausible way to gain connections... I knew that attending tea parties wasn't enough. I understand his reasoning. But why would he change the venue to my private island?" I said, talking to myself. "The more, the merrier..." I murmured.
What could he mean about that? The more, the merrier...
"My goddess, the size of the ship you will use is not enough to bring some of the guests to the Crescent Moon Oceanfront. It is important that the water transportation is resolved first, right?"
"We can rent another ship for that, darling." I just need to go to the dock to settle it, I want to add. "Must I feel threatened that Reginald is up to something or what?" I asked, twitching my lips.
Frederick met my eyes. "Should I investigate or your watchers investigate?"
I stroked my chin before I glued my eyes to the entrance of the greenhouse garden. I needed to think about what I must do since Reginald had changed his course of action. It was up to me how I must decipher this.
"My goddess?"
I glanced at Frederick. "We will go out tonight, darling. You are coming with me."
Later that night, I changed my clothes into male clothes. Black tunic, black trousers, and black boots. I even pulled my hair into a tight bun before I used a wig to hide the color of my hair and how wavy it was. I smiled upon seeing that I looked like a timid, petit man having a dominant aura.
"Well, well... I fit to be a man after all," I said, grinning as I glanced at Frederick's reflection to the mirror who looked in awe right now. I turned to him and approached him. I cleared my throat. "So, how do I look?" I changed my tone into an alto one that could match a teenage boy's tone.
"Um..." He looked speechless, fluttering his eyes. His expression was telling me that he couldn't believe that just a man's clothing and a wig would make me look like a man after all. "Y-You are going to disguise?" Finally, he spoke.
I nodded my head and pushed him to the bed. He gasped when I sat on top of him and drew my face closer to him.
"Say, I am your mate but my gender is male, are you going to accept liking a man?" I asked in an alto tone.
"What?" He looked dumbfounded at my question. I didn't answer. I only watched him getting bewildered at what I asked him. I wanted to see his answer. Frederick frowned when he looked dumb now. "Of course, I will still like you, my goddess. Regardless of your gender."
"Oh?" There was a sly smile smeared on my lips as I grazed his cheek with my forefinger. "So, then, I am the one who will fuck you, hmm?"
Frederick took my finger and gently bit it before he licked it. That movement made my wolf swoon as I felt aroused all of a sudden. "I shall do the same, my goddess. You are not the only one who must do it, of course." He smirked.
I chuckled. I was about to move out when Frederick held my waist and with that, he started moving his hips back and forth at a fast pace which made me moan when his bulging pants were brushing to my clit that was covered by the undergarments and trousers.
"Oh, god, Frederick..." I released a guttural sound.
The friction... It was too good and making me insane right now. I wanted this not to last but... I must stop feeling good now because we still have an agenda to do.
"Frederick... Darling..." I heard the bed creak as his hips were meeting the apex of my thighs, creating good friction to my clit.
"Did you like it, my goddess?" I moaned as an answer as I closed my eyes in submission because the pleasure was too good.
I fell back on my head as I could feel that I was so close to my peak. "More... Yes... Frederick..." I started meeting his thrust by riding him but Frederick held my waist so tight and kept thrusting faster until I screamed in pleasure and landed on top of him, convulsing for the aftermath of the orgasm.
I was panting heavily and looked at Frederick with a satisfied smile on my lips. "We... We must go now..." I said when Frederick held me tightly and scooped me in his arms.
I clung to his neck and laid my head on his shoulder. "Where must we go, my goddess?" he asked when we were on the balcony.
"To the..." I whispered as to where we must go. "I'll tell you the directions," I stated and Frederick nodded.
"Don't worry, my goddess. I know where it is."
I halted and looked at Frederick, dumbfounded. He knew where it was? But... how?
