Chapter 33

It's the day of the press conference for Howard's new song and everyone is interested and watching with intent eyes. The hall is already filled with reporters and even people from the agency but there's no Howard in sight. Daniel assures them that Howard is on his way but he's not answering. Tiffany arrives and hears that Howard can't be reached. They're all worried because the press conference is about to start.
Daniel stands on stage to speak to everyone and begins an introduction speech praising Howard but also stalling for time before he arrives. The reporters know that and ask for Howard beginning to think that he chickened out and is admitting to the rumors. Daniel attempts to calm them down and is in a panic. Kengsington and his lackeys, who are watching, cheer on their accomplishment.
Tiffany still hasn't given up hope on Howard and he miraculously arrives. He takes his seat on the stage and greets all of the reporters. He vows that he never plagiarized anyone's song and that he's written a new song which will be his new title song. He takes a question from a reporter who asks about the new song, whether it was written in a haste or with sincerity and Howard simply replies that he hopes he can listen to it and judge for himself.
He tells the reporters that he thought about giving up but realized that there's something very important to him so he has to try his best. He's there to prove his love for music and introduces his new song as being written for someone who was unconditionally supporting him and for someone very important to him. The song is "Love you dearly" it actually has a couple of different lyrics compared to the one Howard sings, since it's from different perspectives, the male and female.
Howard sings while looking at Tiffany thinking of their past moments, based on the lyrics alone, it's clear that the song is about Tiffany.
As soon as he finishes the reporters applaud showing that the new song is a success, much to the relief of everyone. Before he gets off stage he sends a sign for Tiffany to meet him and Anna gets a call saying that the culprit has been found. Daniel announces it on stage.
Kengsington and his lackeys are walking that night as some of Howard's fans approach him and begin to attack him.
Howard and Tiffany, are also outside. Howard thanks her for the gift and admits to thinking she was going to ignore him. When she hears that Howard likes it she wonders how he's going to repay her. He is confused since his new song was written for her but that's not what she means. She thanked him for it, though, and he thanks her for helping him get through it. The atmosphere turns a little bit as the two begin to get closer to one another and he tries to hold her hand. Their moment is interrupted by drake and blair crashing into them and they hear about kengsington and Howard's fans.
Kengsington arrives on the sight of his fans punishing him and heads over, with his hood up, to block their hits. The group finally gives up and leaves leaving Howard and kengsington there. He wonders why he's there and actually asks if Howard is okay. They manage to joke with one another and Howard admits not being able to watch kengsington get beaten up. Kengsington tells Howard he was behind everything but Howard only laughs figuring he should thank him since the incident made him grow as a person.
Kengsington wonders why Howard is being so nice to him when he's done horrible things to him and Howard says that it's because they're friends, offering his hand to help kengsington stand. He stares at it for a moment before accepting and they smile at each other, helping to support one another as they walk. That's what Tiffany saw when she finally makes it to them. Is this how they make up?
Early morning, Tiffany is in her room sitting up in bed since her errands business is now back in business and it's time for her wake up calls. She begins to go through a series of calls and wonders why everyone wants to be woken up early on the weekend. It's because everyone wants to go to the library. When they reach it, they see everyone looking like zombies but that's because it's two weeks until their major finals and everyone has to wake up early to get into the library in the first place. She seems like the only energetic one of the group.
They manage to find two seats next to each other but it's clear that Tiffany has no idea what's really going on. Laurence pulls out all of her study materials and say that the college will put up a notice if you don't score well enough and that if their names are on the notice then it'll be hard for those students to get scholarships or apply to other good schools.
Tiffany begins to study when she sees Jeff with a group. They greet each other and Tiffany heads over. Jeff suggests that they have dinner that night and they both have something they want to discuss with the other. Tiffany jokingly vows that she'll do better in the finals than him even with his bonus points as she leaves.
Howard is semi-studying in his dressing room when he announces he's going to the library. Daniel and Anna are surprised to hear that because they knew Howard doesnt study like that. Something is fishy.
Back at his meeting place kengsington tells his lackeys that he wants to straighten up. His lackeys made it seem like he's leaving them forever but kengsington clarifies that he just wants to live a normal life and stop causing trouble for himself. He tells them that they'll always be friends, though, and announces he's going to the library.
