Go get ‘em, girl

Elicia:

“Now! The best part, my ‘Death’. It took me a little research, but I found it hidden within these walls. You’re lying on them. The original Nightshade Twins were powerful creatures born from two human parents that pleaded and begged the Gods for the miracle of life. They would give anything, which was next to nothing, but the Gods took pity on them with a cost greater than anything they owned. Life for Life. Their mother died during childbirth, leaving both boys to face the heartbroken father that resented them with every fiber in his broken body.”

How could he resent harmless babies?

“Karma caught up to the man. One night, a new Moon for that, he took the infant boys out into the middle of nowhere and left them to die, but being human, he failed to notice the creature lurking in the tree line. His ‘Beloved Wife’ was indeed alive but not of the living kind. She ripped out his heart, and while his dying body watched, she ate his still-beating heart with tears of sorrow staining her porcelain skin. ‘Mother’ raised her boys from the shadows with a firm fist, teaching them everything the world had to offer, that was until a young servant girl appeared.”

The term ‘Mother’ was never a good indication with the tone it was spoken in.

A sudden surge of fiery heat caused my limbs to jerk uncontrollably as his smug smirk lifted up into a sinister glare.

“Mother didn’t like her boys being so smitten by the young girl, so she led the girl to the woods where the boys had originally been abandoned. Mother had the girl where she wanted her, but before she could enact her plan, her very own sons attacked her. They buried her lifeless body in the same grave as their father, removing her heart just as she had done to her ‘Beloved’. For centuries, the Nightshade bloodline has ruled and blossomed into what you see now, but the family secrets were buried deep within these walls. I found those secrets and used them to gain my freedom from this delusional nightmare, vowing to take back what should have been mine in the beginning. Starting first with my so-called mate. It took every ounce of power I had to fake my death, breaking the mate bond with Randi was a lot more complicated than planned. I was buried in our family catacomb, lying in wait letting my powers recharge. My parents never saw it coming.”

Wow! We have a winner with this one.

“W-what did you d-do?” Finding my weak voice whispering out in a shaky rasp as my body jolted and jerked with the fiery snaps of heat that tingled through my muscles.

“You’re full of surprises, aren’t you? Well, Desmond was overseas, so I took the opportunity to start my revenge. Uncle Victor had managed to weaken my father so while he and mom were enjoying a lovely night of fornication, I ripped out their hearts so they could watch each other die in their final moments of sexual bliss. However, that fucking bastard had one final act of strength and banished me from the vampire realm. I ended up somewhere in the middle of a forest with my powers sealed. It took me forever to unseal my powers, and when I finally did, your mother happened.” Smiling at his flustered pacing as strange roaring shouts rolled through the air bouncing around the massive stone chamber in a haunting dance of chaos and shadows.

“I swear, your mates and that nephew of mine are bigger pains in the ass than those DeLois brothers.” Jerking my head up in shock, silently cursing the sudden movement as the fiery acid rolled up my spine slamming into my skull with a growling grunt.

“Well, enough family reminiscing. Time to finish this.” Snapping my head back to see the flickering gleams of light as his hand yanked upward, plunging the dagger straight down toward my chest as an ethereal voice bellowed through the stone chamber with a powerful blast of blinding light and wind.

TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH!

“That wasn’t me little Goddess.” Jerking back enough to see a shimmering mist swirling around as a woman and man appeared in a ghostly solidification of the greenish-white mist holding hands.

Umm??

“WHAT THE FUCK WAS THAT?” Helmer stood on shaky legs, reaching for the dagger that had lodged itself into the stone pillar on his left. The precious gems gleamed against the swirling light that was radiating from the couple standing in the misty cloud of shimmering dust.

For once I’ll agree. What the Fuck?

“YOU! You JUST couldn’t stay dead. No, you had to come to the rescue of your precious BITCH daughter.” His shaky finger pointed to the woman looking at the man to her right as his words slowly clicked in my jumbled thoughts.

“M-mom.” Sucking in a stuttering breath as hot droplets seared my cheeks in fiery streams of boiling acid, jerking against the burning sensation as it mixed with the stampeding elephants raging through my skull.

“Shu, Baby girl. Let your father and I handle this. We knew this day would happen.” Shocked silent as the blistering tears plipped to the stone beneath my head, looking up through blurry eyes as her brilliant smile warmed the cold musty air with a fresh crispness.

“Oh, Piss Off! You knew nothing of the future, but you did know you were pregnant at the time of our ‘Blood Seal’. I want my powers back, and you’re in my way.” Helmer yanked the dagger from the pillar with a hissing growl as that black swirling mist snapped and whipped around his body like a swarm of angry wasps.

The musty air turned heavy with static energy as the black mist sliced and whipped against the greenish-white mist in a chaotic tornado of shimmering energy, struggling to follow the rapid flashes of my parents.

Wow! My parents. How fucking crazy is that? I wish the guys were here to see this because right now, I’m doubting my sanity.
“Oh, you might be a few screws loose.”
FUCK!! Will you stop popping up out of nowhere!

Gritting my teeth at his smug smirk as he perched himself next to Izzy’s unconscious body, crossing his legs with his fingers laced on his knee. His bright jade eyes matched the ‘Mile long’ smile etched across his face as he watched my parents fight Helmer in a blur of swirling mist of black and shimmering green.

How is this even possible? I should be the one fighting Helmer, not my dead parents.

“It doesn’t always work like that, but your mother and father knew what was to come, so maybe this is their way of making up for being absent in your life.”
Swallowing his words with a heavy lump in my throat as my body began to tingle and shiver with a sudden rush of static heat, wiggling my fingers in hope that my incapacitated state was wearing off.

Why are Bailey and Izzy here, if it’s me he wanted?

“How do you weaken an enemy? Going for their strength. Desmond would be destroyed if anything happened to Izzy, and Bailey, well, that one is a little confusing at the moment. You would be emotionally destroyed because of the sisterly relationship you two have, but I think she is just a pawn to break you down.” Curling my fingers as my body slowly came back to life, shifting enough to nudge Izzy’s shoulder as her eyes began to flutter open with the crashing chaos as Helmer slammed into the stone wall snarling out a hissing groan.

“Izzy?” Whisper shouting as the swirling black mist grew angrier snapping out at my parents misting away then reappearing landing powerful attacks of greenish mist.

“ELICIA!” Snapping my head up in surprise at the four most delicious voices shouting in a rush of thundering footfalls, laughing like a maniac as the fluttering excitement engulfed me in a glowing mist of shimmering gold.

“Go get ‘em, girl.” His chuckling voice faded away as a black blanket of mist shot over me, snapping my hand out as the swirling gold mist wrapped around it like a BOA squeezing the life out of its prey.
